If you're Lucky you'll have car trouble...near Boyne Falls or Boyne City that is.I was blown away at the service and knowledge of the fine staff at Boyne City Tire and Brake. Honest diagnosis, friendly fast service at very a reasonable price.I bought an aftermarket hitch for my 03 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. No matter how much I tightened the bolts it sagged down and I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to make it all the way up to Vanderbilt Boyne Falls area.I stopped in Boyne City Tire and Brake to ask when might be a good time for them to take a look. I was going to be there all week and didn't need it done right away.Wonderful, friendly staff member Crystal at the front desk took great care of me and Joe said "nonsense" about bringing it back later. He brought it in the garage immediately.Joe diagnosed the problem with one look, had it up on the lift and began welding the bumper firmly in place solving the problem before I could even tell him what was wrong. AMAZING!!!!I was in and out in 15 minutes. Truly unbelievable! Wow! Joe really knows his stuff.What a great team Crystal and Joe make. Even if your car isn't disabled and you have a problem that's been bugging you stop by and ask about it. I'm sure this Super team can take care of it if they can't they know who can. What a valuable asset they have there.Keep up the great work. Love you guys. I hope something breaks down again soon so I can come see you ya :)

I am so thankful!! I came back up north from school and my car was making a weird noise during my 2 hour drive. I called 3 minutes before closing and they were willing to stay later to help me. The man that helped me out ended up staying 15 minutes past close which was so nice of him! Very thankful and would definitely recommend!(:

These guys are great. I've taken my beater car here twice now(for different issues) and have twice been 100% satisfied. Their main mechanic is very honest and knowledgeable. Price is very reasonable. Also, they are quick when you are in a pinch for time. I can't recommend them enough.

Do not rely on any of these reviews. Word to mouth, ask real people in real life about this place.Took my car in, had an appointment and they didn't look at it for 4 days.I had to call to figure out what was going on. One day they stated it was an oil leak, then the next they said I needed a new engine. 5 grand in repair costs.Came and took my vehicle today, they couldn't tell me where the leak was, couldn't tell me if they fixed it either. Stated oil was put in the vehicle but when I checked it was dirty and there was no leak. But no repair cost for the leak.Shady shady business. Trust me just ask around and they will tell you horror stories about this place. "Joe Williams is the shades guy I know." "That's the worst place you could have taken it." All with faces of disgust and worry.Charged me 171 for a new thermostat. Do not come here ever. 600 in total oil, pvc pipe, coolant and the thermostat. Drove my car there and out of there, but I need a new engine huh?

They had already closed for the day and just happened to still be in the shop when we got a flat tire. They stayed to help us, were super friendly, quick, reasonable price. Totally recommend!

This place was fantastic. Above and beyond to help get us back on the road. Went in for a nail in our RV tire and Joe (the owner) identified that we needed two new front tires. No way we were going to make it on our trip without. He didn t have them in stock but got us a spare and got us on the road and called ahead and arranged for a place to do the new tires in IN. Truly thankful for his willingness and being so very attentive and helpful! Would recommend them to anyone in need of tire service. Large or small vehicles!

Needed air on my 35' RV trailer tires before our journey back down state. One of the mechanics dropped what he was doing to back our trailer into their lot and put a safe amount of air in my tires. Thank you to the Boyne City Tire & Brake team for going above and beyond!

Very very poor service no communication what so ever. Dropped my truck off 3 week s ago for an appointment to get its exhaust fixed they said it would be done the next day. Did not hear back from them for 3 weeks and called them. They said yep it s going in right now and it will be done for you. Another week later it s still in its spot and nothing has been done. Went to go pick it up today and discovered my windows where left open and it s rained a few time. Save your self the time and money and don t come here

Highly recommend! I ve lived in Boyne for almost 3 years & needed to get my brakes done ASAP. The owner got me in the next morning & exceeded my expectations. Kindness means the world to me & I left crying happy tears bc of how amazing I was treated at this business! My car is driving great & I feel so much safer knowing my brakes were fixed by a wonderful & skilled person! Thank you SO much for getting me in so quickly & for your kindess it truly meant the world to me!

They have had my car since October. There has been virtually NO contact with me on what is going on. Every time we call or stop by, the mechanic working on the car is magically not in the shop that day, or in a meeting he can't be pulled out of.I know you read this on all reviews, but I truly wish I could give this business zero stars. Say a prayer I get my car back sometime this year.

I got a flat tire late in the evening and had to have my car towed back to my house because I didn't have a spare. I called Boyne City Tire & Brake first thing the next morning and gave them the tire size. They were able to find me new tires and scheduled for me to come in and have the tires mounted and balanced that same day, along with a new tire pressure sensor because the one that was in the flat tire got damaged. I had a friend take me to drop off my wheels, we went and had lunch, and the job was done within 30 minutes. I went home to put on the tires and everything has been great since! I called a handful of other tire shops in the area based on what I could find immediately on Google, including my local dodge dealerships, and these guys were by far the most professional and reasonable to deal with. The manager (Matt) was fun and entertaining to talk with as well.

Awesome service. The snow tires I thought that I needed were out of stock everywhere. Joe was able to find a set that was a better value and, I think, an even better tire.

Was on my way up to Boyne City on a Friday night and slid out. After taking my car into Petoskey on Saturday, thinking I would have more options and was told everyone was full up. I took it to Joe and Brian in Boyne City with really no options and they quickly diagnosed that my tires were full of mud and simply needed to be cleaned out, which only took 20-30 minutes. Brian's fast fix kept our weekend plans on track. Joe was very knowledgeable as well and my experience was fantastic with them. Would highly recommend to anyone who seeks expert advice and knowledge. Just make sure you listen. I greatly appreciate their care on a Saturday.

Lifesaver. Had a flat tire 5 hours from home. The shop was closed but Joe let us in and patched us up and we were on our way in 20 minutes. Super thankful

They put pads on my rear brakes ,But they don't think you need to refinish the rotors.That is NOT a brake Job.I won't be back

If you ever have a tire problem in Boyne City, I would suggest Boyne City tire and brake. They were able to get me in right away today. They didn't have to, but they did. Repaired my tire, and sent me on my way. They were great to deal with, friendly, and very reasonably priced.

We were in from out of town and had a nail in our tire. Luckily they were close to our resort and got us right in and fixed us all up. Fair price too!

I had a flat while skiing and they made time on a Saturday to get me a new tire and back on the road in no time, and with a great price. Service couldn't have been better.

Wish I could rate with ZERO stars. They worked on my car about 18 months ago, I since then have had to take it to a different shop to get what their hack of a mechanic "repaired". Missing bolts, pins, and other hardware has become a nightmare not to mention very expensive. I will never recommend them to anyone! Steer clear and save yourself a hassle not to mention some money.

We were at Boyne for a vacation from Indiana and had a wheel bearing blow. Boyne City Tire and Brake fit me in on my schedule, fixed it completely at a fair price. They allowed me to stay on vacation without taking advantage of my circumstances. Thanks and God Bless!

Needed alternator repair on the day we were leaving town. They got us in quickly and repaired it quickly as well so we could get going on our triphome. Can t say enough how great they were.

Owner joe was a total dick we made an appointment to get my winter tires put on we brought in the tires to be mounted he threw a fit because we didn't buy them through him! He canceled our appointment on the spot and told us to go elsewhere and that he didn't need our money! Horrible customer service and a complete dick from the time we walked in until we left!

We had a tire blow out on our RV while vacationing in the area from VA. Found out we don't have roadside assistance. :( We called Boyne City Tire and they came right out with a tire for us. Thank you so much!!

Great customer serviced from Matt. Got my car in right away and solved my car problem by doing a tire balance on brand new tires purchased at Belle Tire in Petoskey where I was told a wheel alignment would be needed at a charge of $250.
