Took a Ford Focus to Bob Mathers because it wouldn t start. Said it would be a Transmission Control Module. No big deal, covered by warranty. After calling every week for three weeks for status updates. It was finally fixed. Oh by the way we think a mouse got into the fuse box, so that will be $350 for us to try and figure it out Three weeks later it wouldn t start again. After looking into it myself there is an $8 dollar fuse that commonly goes bad in these vehicles causing a no start and is a pretty cheap 30min fix, I did it myself. Starts every time now. So basically, they got paid by Ford for the warranty work and charged me $350 for actually doing nothing. I wouldn t recommend them for vehicle repair.

Bob Mathers Ford in the best Ford dealership in northern michigan. Their prices are very fair for quality work and their body shop is the very best. Quality work and they make your vehicle look brand new again. I'm am so thankful for them

I have been to other area Ford dealerships in the area and have had horrible experiances at both. As I was driving away from my 2nd bad experiance, I gave Bob Mathers a call. They not only got me in that same day, they returned the car the same day as well. And explained the issues super well.Don't wate your time going to any other Ford dealer in the area.

After taking my f250 to them to program my transmission. Which they couldn't complete. They busted my shift cable and accepted no responsibility for it. Sent me home with a zip tie holding my shift cable on. Extremely unhappy and would never recommend them!!!

Went to Mather s because the dealer in Charlevoix fell flat on their face. Service manager at Mathers told me how this engine functioned which was new to compared to our 2019. When he told me I almost laughed. I m an engineer and shame on me for buying a car that Ford tries to get to run on 2 cylinders under certain load conditions. When it does, it makes a God awful noise like help me, I m dying . Mather s service guys and manager are open and honest and they are one of the smaller dealers that the Ford family is making life miserable for hoping they will go away. Hey ford, if you throw these guys out I m still gonna buy from them even though I get retiree discount and I am 3rd generation Fordz employee. Not such a big deal anymore.

Auto body repair was great! 2 different cars, 2 great jobs. Rileyhandled everything well.Came in again for truck exhaust manifold repair in August 2018. These guys are honest to the bone. Mike is great, very knowledgeable.Great price! Great shop! Came in again May, 2022, great as always! Came in again this fall! Super Job again!! Came back again in November 2022. Superb service, the whole crew is fantastic. Superb service October 9th. Top notch.Thank you!

Bob Mathers Ford was a lifesaver for servicing our Ford Escape when we got an error message: Engine Fault, Service Now. We were visiting the area over Christmas from our home in Missouri. What to do? Even though we were not regular customers, and even though it was a busy season and a short window of time, they were willing to get us in, diagnose the problem and fix it. I got to observe from sitting in the waiting room how they ran their business and how they treated their customers. A quality, family-owned, small-town business. Mike, the service manager, was especially helpful, informative, and just plain nice.

I recently received an oil change from there, and it's always the friendliest service around! Great family that treats all customers with positive vibes, and makes you feel like you're apart of their family! Definitely would recommend to anyone! Will be a life long customer!

A small dealership with a big heart. I have had my cars serviced there twice this summer and each time was done right on time. Mike in service does a nice job of listening to the problem and explaining the fix. Bob Jr, Wendy, and Alan up front know their stuff and know how to take care of customers. I highly recommend this fine family dealership.

Was very happy with the repair shop and they did a beautiful job correcting the rust problem (several areas) with my car. My problem was when I went to pay in the main showroom, it was required that I wear a mask for their employees protection. I did NOT have any problem as I had a mask on, I did however resent the fact that NONE of the employees in the showroom was wearing a mask for the customers protection, nor did the person who took care of me social distance at the counter.

After numerous phone calls to the Ford dealership in Charlevoix that were never answered, I decided to give this place a try. Called on a Tuesday, got an appointment for that Thursday. Done. This is how you do business and keep it.

Absolute Best! I would rate this dealer a 15 out of 10. Goes way beyond what is expected in every way. Even did some service work on my Duramax a few years back to get me back on the road.

Buyer beware-way overpriced vehicles. They jack up the price and act like they are doing you a favor. The owner is just as arrogant as he can be. Told me I couldn't do better any place else. Guess what? I did. Shop anywhere but here, you'll benefit from it. They lost a sale because Bob Mathers was so condescending to me. The only reason he's successful is because daddy handed him the business.

Bob Mathers is a 100% great guy to deal with. Linda Miller must be outright crazy. He went out of his way to help me when I was in from out of town with a repair, and has done the same with many others I know. 5 out of 5 for sure.
