Stayed here for a single night and checked in late after 9pm. Check in was pleasant and the lobby was clean. I drove to an adjacent building to my room. The door to enter the building was not locked and is never locked as there was no keycard at the door as I ve seen in other hotels. There were cameras in the hallway however; that didn t make me feel safer. The room was standard however my biggest concern was the window screen looked as if someone at some point tried to pull it off. I could ve switched rooms but considering I had checked in so late and was checking out early; I didn t want to chance moving from room to room and I was there to get some sleep. I didn t get to see the surrounding area as I arrived and left before the sun came out. Breakfast was standard. Didn t feel safe staying here and the next morning I showed the photo to the attendant and he was very indifferent with my concern. I would not stay here again. I couldn t get out quicker.

Always a very good stay here. Some rooms need to be looked at for minor repairs (shower heads need to be taken down, cleaned internally and put back up so water flow is better, but that's a common problem at most hotels. Yes I've fixed them at several rooms here because of pipe rust that clogs the shower head.) but overall the rooms are very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable and clean. A little on the pricey side for the area but low level noise makes it a pleasant stay.

This was a very good experience. Been to a number of hotels over the years and most of them served no breakfast at all. This had a full delicious breakfast. The room was clean. One darkside...the bedding was full of static electricity...a horror. Maybe the blanket?Thank you very much.

* notice how this manager takes no responsibility for any negative review. Be careful here. In her response she says you I wasn t in the lobby at all and didn t speak with anybody. My wife was in the empty lobby and was not yelling whatsoever. And the picture is most certainly your hotel!!!! You think I don t have better things to do then post fake reviews. Also we didn t start complaining until night because we were at a hockey tournament all day!!!! We turned on the heater when we checked in, room was still freezing when we got back! Unbelievable***So we got into our room and there were dead bugs, the room was filthy, and the heat wasn t working. This was really concerning traveling with our baby. They brought us a space heater, shortly after that the power went out. We called the front desk, after about a half hour it seemed like they took care of it and it came back on. Only to go out again about ten minutes later. At that point we wanted a refund. The front desk gal was great when we checked in, horrible when we had an issue. Basically told us we can leave if we want to keep complaining. When my wife said we are leaving she said bye bye B word but she actually said it. All because we complained about not having power multiple times. Then she told us we were banned and ran outside to take our license plate. On top of all that they don t salt the sidewalk, my wife and older daughter slipped and fell on the ice at different times. I m not exaggerating. Literally the most horrible hotel experience I ve had in my 34 years of life. The manager wouldn t speak to us, said she would in the morning. I really hate leaving bad reviews but this was a shockingly bad experience. When we got to the Hampton Inn after leaving they could not believe what happened.

I was honestly impressed for what we got for a 50$ room, it was clean and tidy, and fairly large. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of coffee/tea along with other shower accommodations. The breakfast is served in the main building and honestly wasn't bad either. Off a busy road but was quiet enough, and close enough to get anywhere with a quick drive. Would stay again!

This place is nasty and their staff is rude and non helpful.... First off the last stay i stayed in this hotel, I had my pet so I know it wasn't going to be a great room, but each day I stayed I was charged the pet fee of 25. The door had gaps so big that you could feel the wind coming in it. And later I noticed in my invoice that I was charged for a pillow that I know I didn't take, I had called them 2 times and I had to stay there again so when I was booking in I had mentioned it to the front clerk and he got a nasty attitude and pretty much told me I was lying And I had to stay there again so I didn't want problems with the staff ya know. So I been staying in this 366 room this time and my son comes over and we took the cushions off the couch to see if it was a pullout bed, which it is, but on the cushion looks like blood!!! So I call the front desk, tell the lady and she switched us rooms, to the same size same everything but down the hall 365, I asked her what was going to be done and told her I should get at least a free night considering it looked like blood, like the worst bodily fluid ever, blood, and she also got an attitude and told me I would have to talk to a manager about it, I asked if the manager was inside, she said one would be here tomorrow so.... This hotel is a joke!!! Now they won't let me go take a picture of the cushion that might have blood in it, saying on the phone that I'm not getting a refund, I did not ask for a refund for one, for two why can't if noone has even looked at the room I was just in why I couldn't go take a pic of it for my records.... Wow but I called the cops and they said if my stuff is out the room that I could not go in to take a pic. I have been staying here regularly and now I am gonna go to a different one hopefully it's just this nasty town.... other room this is they're treating me it's a shame it's a the shame nasty rotten people that on this place and is letting this go on like this and their establishment they should be embarrassed about it

The tv was outdated, but we bought a chromecast with Google tv and used that to watch Amazon, Netflix, etc.The Jacuzzi was super nice and worked well. The walls were a little thin & could smell everyone smoking. The hotel was super close to all the food businesses, but there wasn't much to do in big rapids. Their breakfast was pretty basic, eggs were watery & the pancake maker kept breaking.

Beware! Previous reviews may be deceiving!Our stay was absolutely perfect for what we needed! We were visiting Big Rapids, for the first time, attending a networking event. Only requiring an overnight, stay we opted for something inexpensive. Landing us at the Quality Inn.The front desk attendant was extremely friendly and down to earth when I questioned previous reviews! Our room was clean and well maintained! With the exception of the pull out couch. It def could have used a good shampoo. The bed was so comfy and the hidden mini fridge was a nice touch! Our room was located in the back expansion which had a slightly wooded view. There were a couple "stink bugs" lurking around. However, anyone with common sense would know that sometimes these things happen given the time of year and location. We def were not phased. Now, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS BREAKFAST! A delicious variety of all kinds of yumminess to start your day! Hot, made to order pancakes, sausage links, potatoes, egg rounds, toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, danishes, cereal, yogurt, different kinds of juice and coffee of course! The lobby offers a nice area to sit and enjoy your food. There is def no judgment if you head back to your room instead.I would recommend anyone needing accommodations while in Big Rapids consider booking Quality!

On Dec 30th 2023 we were completely displaced from our home. The landlord refused to fix it. Thank God we had renters insurance. They have put us up in the Quality inn. The rooms are good size. Clean. We have been here for over a month now and have heard no noice. No disturbance. Very quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for being do nice and taking good Care of us during our extended stay. We appreciate you!

Well, let me first explain why this hotel sucked, Reason 1, it was first because that when we turned on the jets in our room were spraying all over the place! And reason 2, ONE OF YOUR STUPID EMPLOYEES DECIDED TO CALL THE COPS JUST FOR ASKING TO FIX THE JETS! We left this hotel afterwards luckily, but you really need to maintain your pipes.

Had a conversation with the GM on booking a room. I mistakenly booked a no cancel reservation and immediately called to change to a cancellable reservation. They canceled the reservation and it was my understanding with the conversation over the phone that I could book or not book from that point on. They then charged me after the weekend when I did not rebook. After calling and explaining the misunderstanding, the GM was incredibly rude. I clearly would have booked the room again and canceled had I know I was going to be charged the full rate regardless and she had no care for what I had to say on the matter. They gave me a 50% off a reservation I never stayed at due to an over the phone misunderstanding. Not a business that is accommodating and thus I would recommend staying some place that is more hospital and accommodating.

The front desk is very rude and disrespectful. Also don t feel like a safe environment. Halls are very dirty and doors are not locked after hours so anyone can walk into the hotel. I would not recommend anyone to stay.

BED BUGS! We stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago. I woke up at 1am to a fully grown bed bug crawling on me! When I informed the front desk, they were curt and yelled at me. I requested plastic bags, a new room, and a full refund. I received the bags and room, but no refund. When I called a week later, the front desk assured me the refund was on the way. Called a week afterwards and was told it wasn't their fault. No refund. Not only do I have photos of the bed bug, but I handed them the full grown bed bed. I get it. It can happen. But don't be rude. Take care of your customers. Getting yelled at for finding a bedbug, and a new room does not even touch the amount of time and resources that are spent battling bedbugs in your home. If management had handled this correctly, and with compassion, I would not feel the need to leave this review.

I was happy with this location.Rooms are clean. I only give one star to the service, though. I have read several of these location's reviews and have noticed that somebody truly pays attention to what the customers say here. With that being said to whom it may concern.I am a handicap individual and I cannot fathom Why your night staff would even come close to expecting me To help them carry a roll away bed ( Which I paid a additional fee for) upstairs and into my room.I truly hope you take the time to go back and watch the cameras as you have mentioned in SO MANY OTHER REVIEWS because if you do and you truly do, you can have your general manager, Kindly refund my money.the audio will outline the condescending treatment from your staff members who arrive at 7/8/23 9pm. And began to act as if he was doing me a favor by bringing me the extra roll away bed. (That I paid an extra fee for) Your customer service representative, who is obviously ignorant to customer service needs, proceeded to tell me that I had to help him carry the roll away bed up the stairs.No hotel guest should be expected to carry Something so heavy, especially when they pay an extra fee for it.Please provide the community with competent and able staff. Or some type of equipment to utilize properly.Vijay, is the key problem at this location. He works later in the evening and if you read the reviews you will see that he is the key component in the failed customer service at this location.Now based off of the actions taken after this review will determine whether this review will be edited. I truly would say that day. Staffier and the rooms are worth the price. And I would bring my family back and recommend this This location to people again if the problem was remedied.

I was very satisfied with this room and felt I had gotten a deal for what I paid. Very clean room and bathroom. All the amenities I like. Building was quiet, Staff I encountered were pleasantly friendly. Comfortable bed. Hallway had just a slight hint of THAT odor if you know what I am talking about. Not much though and no such scent in the room. Continental breakfast was fair. I would have liked to had biscuits and gravy and bacon but the sausages and eggs were good. I enjoy traveling Michigan in the fall. I will consider staying here again.

Horrible experience. The night staff was so rude thought maybe just because it was 3 AM when we got there, but saw him again in the morning before breakfast was trying to find out how to get to breakfast and he wouldn't answer me. The bed was comfy but the pillows were super small, and the room smelt like an ashtray. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyoneSafety: Didnt need a key card to enter the side doors like most hotels just needed for the rooms

Room smells bad, water pressure is bad. There was 1 Kleenex left in the box.We re in a building behind the main building and there is only one ice machine in the 3 story building and it s empty. When I called the lobby they tried to give me directions to a different building to get ice!!!! Seriously!!! I couldn t understand his accent and couldn t believe they expected me to walk outside to a different building rather than bring us some ice. By the way, we re traveling and didn t make it here until 3 am. They expect me, a female to go out side and wander around looking for an ice machine.* Amendment: may have jumped the gun a little in our extreme fatigue. I should have texted the front desk and I would ve found a working ice machine on the other side of the building (don t know how I missed that hallway) found a second location with Kleenex. LolThe bed and pillows we re comfortable. The room did have a funky musty smell however.One important note: my 85yr old father showered and said the shower was nice but really slippery.

From day one they said there was a promotion that was available for my upcoming stay. Two of their front desk employees and their manager ended up lying to me and I did not receive the three $50 gift cards I was supposed to receive. I suggest you stay somewhere else. This place is rundown, they did not clean our room for 3 days. We checked out 2 weeks ago and I have left messages five times. Every time they tell me oh the manager will be here tomorrow. They are liars.

Everyone who worked here was so nice and friendly. Very clean room, especially considering we had dogs with us so we were in the pet friendly room. Not a sign of a previous pet in site! The pool was really nice and very clean. The liquor store next door is a perk if you want to get some canned beers for the pool (no glass in the pool area!) The breakfast was really nice as well. They're in the middle of renovating but didn't impact the quality of the stay at all. 10/10 would stay again! Thanks quality inn team!

Poor staffing. Management is not concerned about the safety of their guest. There breakfast is healthy. Me and my fiance stay here on 3-6-23 to 3-9-23 and this is how we was treated by the staffing. I fell on ice on their property. Went to er in big rapids mi. Found out I have damaged done to my left ankle that this manager doesn't want to take responsibility for.Rooms: Room were ok but channels were confusing though.Safety: There is no safety hereWalkability: Not walkable to anythingFood & drinks: Good but food is nasty

We stayed two nights in this inn. The place was unique in that it had two outside doors - one to the parking lot and one to the walkway overlooking the large outdoor pool. Our second floor room was in the original section. It consisted of a living area that contained a pull-out couch and TV, a large room with king sized bed, TV, fridge, and microwave, a bathroom with toilet and shower/bath, and a separate vanity area. The bed was very comfortable and we felt that everything was provided that we needed for a comfortable stay. Our only problem was trying to cool the bed area without freezing the living area. It was a lot noisier on the first night (Thursday) when there were many more guests. The noise was largely from pool use and fireworks someone was using nearby. Friday night was much quieter. The hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes) along with cold selections (yogurt, muffins, bagels, sweet rolls) was good. Convenient to FSU. Would stay here again.
