Very poor customer service. We have spent thousands of dollars over the last several years and Tom was unwilling to take care of a damaged part.

I had the pleasure to talk with Tom and Adam. What great people they are! I was looking for a transmission.. They found the one I needed and got it sent out quick! Communication was great! What great guys! We'll definitely be coming back to shop at August Pohl!

On 03/28/2023 I purchased a hybrid battery from August Pohl Auto Parts for 6600 dollars including shipping.At the time of purchase I was informed they only take a wire transfer, cashier's check, or Zelle which was red flag number one for me but they were the only ones in the country that had the battery I needed at the time.When they were shipping the battery the salesman Tom told me multiple times to take pictures when the battery arrives and if there's so much as a scratch on it to report it as damaged in shipping which made me wonder if they were sending me an actual good battery. Red flag number two.When the battery arrived to me there was nothing the shipper had done wrong. There was no damage to the battery whatsoever on the outside but I did notice that August Pohl had shipped the battery with the service disconnect plug - plugged in which means the battery was life in shipping - a big NoNo and red flag number three.After installing the battery in the vehicle we found that the battery they shipped to us has many more codes and is in worse condition then the bad battery we were trying to replace.I informed Tom at August Pohl of our findings and requested a replacement battery or return for a full refund. He had me send him all the codes for a review and then the hiding game started. I must have called over 10 times before I can finally get them to accept and return the battery. They wanted me to pay for shipping both ways for their bad battery.Tom was obviously hiding from me, he did not return one of my many messages. By the time I got the battery finally returned to them two months later I had made so many calls that everybody there can recognize my voice.On 06/01/2023 they finally mailed me a check for $5200. $1,400 short of what I paid them for the battery. They're making money on a bad battery that they sent to me and not taking any responsibility. The worst business transaction I ever had in my life. IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!

Just had a great customer service experience with Tom. Really happy with August Pohl Autos. Got the part needed and was treated like a human being after calling over 5 different shops and not being able to get past the auto response. Would recommend this shop to anyone looking for parts.

Unmatched price for the part I was looking for, and it was shipped quickly & securely. Adam was a great help with getting this shock ordered. Thank you SO much as this was a critical part for my Jeep rebuild!

Bought a dashboard screen, arrived not working send pics same day.. absolutely no responses , send the item back .. no refund or item now.. IM OUT $550 and they still wont take calls or email replies .. idk how they are in bussines

Despite of all the one star reviews, i decided to give them a chance. Learned very quickly that staff are not helpful at all. Spoke to few different people about a part I was trying to buy. Once I was quoted by one person, the rest refused to take my calls or answer any quests. The one who quoted me never answered phone. I am glad i did not buy it.

Spent $9500 on bmw engine/exhaust. Roy s description over the phone on condition seems pretty accurate thus far. Very easy to deal with. Drove 3 hours and they had me out of there within minutes. Highly recommend .some retail customers reviews are just totally unfair and inaccurate! Ordered dozens of times from these guys and always a good experience

Never had such a hard time buying parts, especially from commission sales person.. I did all the work! The owner should digitise the sales and just hire wear-house people it was so bad!Roy put in no effort. I almost walked out on sale multiple times, and didn t walk away ultimately because I already had so much time invested in dealing with them.Also to anyone thinking of buying from them, before you commit time, just an FYI, they only accept Zelle and wire transfer for payment. My bank froze my account thinking it s fraud so I had to deal with bank in addition to taking a giant risk sending those payment methods. Only pray my parts are delivered and in condition described.I would never do business with them again.Oh and to top it off, I was having such a hard time with Roy, I called back and tried to work with another sales agent. He told me he couldn t do that. The sale would be Roy s since he was first point of contact. Haha..So customer is very low in the decision making process there hahaI ll give it to the owner though, parts were prices very well. Just needs better sales reps.

Tom sold me a used ecu for $350($200 brand new) because of the chip shortage they jacked up the price. 3 days later I get an email saying that they had a roof leak in the warehouse and the part was destroyed. I called asking for pictures and he laughed in my face. I asked to speak to the owner and he literally said no you can t. All the other comments are accurate. This is the most disrespectful lying business I ve ever worked with. I personally will NEVER do business with them again.

Horrible customer service!!!! Had a part ordered, asked to have it drop shipped to our customer, was told the shipping address could be changed on the PayPal invoice that was sent. Filled out the invoice, but absolutely no where on the invoice to change the shipping address. Then emailed back to Tom at August Pohl, he then claimed it had to be sent to the address on the PayPal invoice. Then, I get a PayPal credit. Asked what that was all about, he said the part had to be paid for with a wire transfer. I told him I was not going to pay to have a wire transfer done! I asked him to please re-send me the PayPal invoice and just ship the part to us and we would take care of sending it to our customer. His exact words back were "I am going to pass, all the best". The whole transaction was extremely fishy and very unprofessional.

The front desk employee (Roy) should be terminated immediately. I was berated, slandered, and showered with slurs by Roy during a simple transaction of auto parts.The other employees were very helpful and courteous. Both Danny and Jose made the pick up experience much more tolerable. Danny handled all communication from start to finish. Danny also completed the final sales transaction.However... Roy was verbally abusive and should be terminated immediately. His actions and language are offensive to all races/genders of life.Reviews across multiple social media platforms clearly display that Roy is rude to everyone and is a risk to business. Please inact/integrate an Employee Code Of Conduct plan before the actions of this employee (Roy) cause harm to your business's reputation.

I had a good experience. I was planning on getting everything shipped but they only accept money orders so I decided to pick up personally. Danny helped me a lot by confirming I got the right parts and also let me check some other parts they had in stock. I will definitely be back.

Worst place to buy used parts. I bought a used transmission said to have had 66k miles and the transmission went out in 2 months. All other places around on big purchase parts like this have a 90day warranty. They are not competitive in the marketplace and I will never recommend buying parts from August Pohl and I will definitely share with everyone I know.Would be nice if something was done about this like providing another transmission or a refund.

Roy of this Shop likes to lie, he provided an email but didn't provide a payment method and expet a payment via wired. Poor Customer service and Poor Professionalism. I wont and don't recomment this Shop.

I drove over two hours to come get a transmission for a Infiniti, Tom kept the store open past five o clock on a Friday, The dude waited for me to get there like a solid business should. Best junkyard experience i have had in a while. Would recommend to a friend for sure.

Tom was super helpful in handing my Porsche Turbo and Mercedes AMG needs! He had great attention to detail when sending me information to address all concerns I had buying the Parts I needed. I highly recommend Tom and his team at August Pohl. I look forward to buying from them again.

I will change the rating to 5 stars as soon as you fire the front desk rep AJL, the rudest person in the World and business killer. This review is based on multiple experiences with this rep. It is a shame to keep this worker that hurts this business every chance he has.
