Had to get my car towed to get the brakes repaired. Picked this place because Richard got good reviews in the community page and I can see why. He is so nice, fixed my car same day which almost never happens any more and was fairly priced. I'll be taking my car here from now on!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Is now my go to place for any auto repairs or needs. It's one guy - Richard who does all the work. Most of it same day too! He was so quick and explained and showed me the parts before and after his work which made me feel very comfortable. He was half the price of the Chevy dealership. They were also super friendly to my dog. Thank you for the great service! Keep it up

Richard is the best. Got there at 4:20pm without an appointment. My warning indicators on my brakes were making noise. He looked at my brakes and gave me a couple options on price. I asked how long it would take to replace the pads and he said he could get started right away. I was out the door by 5:30pm. I am so impressed by his work ethic and abilities. I have been going to him for years and he has worked on several of my vehicles. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. 5 STARS...

Richard is a family secret, an outstanding mechanic who treats everyone right. My sister and brother in law have taken their vehicles to him. Each time they came away smiling and raving about his excellent work, honesty, and fair prices. Now it's my turn.I brought my Outback in last minute after a holiday Monday because of a shrill, vibrating noise in the engine compartment. I feared an A/C leak. Richard told me it might take a few hours to get to, and he would call me after he diagnosed the issue. I walked home.Three hours later, he called and told me the heat shield was damaged. He tightened everything back up and resolved the issue. He tested the car, it no longer made a noise, and I was ready to go. Best part, the cost wasn't exorbitant like the dealer but very fair. He wanted me to make sure everything sounded right before payment, and it's probably the best $40 I've spent this year for a quality mechanic who stands by his work and is just so absolutely friendly. Genuinely nice, funny guy!I'll be coming back for regular service. His location on 11 Mile is in easy range of several good eateries (the Golden Grill next door, a couple breweries) so it's easy to get a bite to eat if you need. He is popular locally and it's a clear sign why: his shop is orderly, the cars are well cared for, and a lot of customers drive off knowing they're getting the best service. That includes me.

I agree with all the other positive reviews. Richard is very polite and a pleasure to work with. I dropped off my Wrangler in the morning for poor brake performance, and had it diagnosed by end of the day, repaired the next day. Complete opposite experience of dealerships trying to replace more than what is necessary to fix an issue.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I had a emergency leak after getting an oil change in my 2006 Toyota, called, dropped off my car and got it looked at same day. Had a price and was fixed by 10:00 the next morning. Good service and fair prices. Thank you so much!

Had such a great experience here! Absolute best price (I was quoted an insane number for brakes at a dealer, and it was half the price here!) the service was fast and Richard showed me what he replaced so I understood the changes. Professional and reliable service! I recently had my brakes (new rotors and pads) and A/C fixed at Berkley Auto Service. Richard is friendly and provided an initial assessment of the vehicle when I dropped off the vehicle. Later, he called and explained the costs thoroughly and the repairs were made in less than 24 hours. Highly recommend!Services: Brakes, A/C installation & repair

I have lived in Berkley since 2007 and I finally found my local mechanic for life!!! Richard is honest, fair, and a great mechanic. He took my car with no appointment and finished the work in half a day. His prices were lower than everybody else, and the quality of work was top-notch. I recommend him highly!!! I couldn t be happier with the experience...

Was referred to me by a person who used to fix his own cars.Saved me lots of money and grief over the last 6 years. Richard never takes on a job he knows isn't worth the owners money. Will readily say that a repair isn't needed instead of taking advantage like another shop might do.Most trustworthy and earnest mechanic shop I've ever seen.

Rychard has been my family's mechanic for 15 years! He is always truthful. He will let you know if he can fix it, not try too. His prices are very fair and so pleasent to deal with. I would highly recommend him.

This place is fantastic. Richard is friendly, honest, and cheaper than any other place you can go to. I always call him for my car repairs. He was honest about not being able to fix a major problem with my older car because it simply wasn't worth the repairs. Oil changes are also only $25.

Richard had the referral of my mailman; quite an endorsement after 20+y on this route- I have been confidently trusting Richard for my Subaru wagon for 7y+ now and I do NOT get ANYTHING done to it unless Richard says it is necessary... I trust him more than any mechanic ever bc from the first day I went in & asked if I could see what was under my car, he has been providing me with the answers to my questions- all of them- He is knowledgeable AND patient and I know my curiosity is painstaking and tiring but Richard has never ever seemed put out by my questions, even on the third explanation of the same thing- not that I'm stupid but my questions exceed my level of knowledge which is necessary to understand the answers- Richard gives me both. If he hadn't been so generous with his time and patient in his explanations about this last set of repairs, repairs that he was not doing because of part-specific tools, I would have had to go by what the dealer told me and what I found on line and have sold my car for lack of knowledge but, because Richard shared his expertise with me, I was able to search for the right shop to get the right work done and literally keep my car which, by the Grace of God and Richard, has 185,000 miles on it! I am a Christian, there is nothing more valuable than the truth- when it comes to cars, I know to trust what Richard says.

Great find - owner is kind and very trustworthy and went out of his way to help me, even though the issue was something I ended up having to go to the Jeep dealership for. They do not try to upsell you and service was very fast. Will definitely be back!

I moved to the area recently and wanted to find a local mechanic. This is the first one I ve tried and don t plan on going anywhere else. Good service, didn t try to up-charge, fast service as well. Needed a complete interior cleaning to remove a stubborn spilled substance and was completely satisfied with this company. Did what they said, even removing front seat for thorough cleaning, and it was a beautiful job. Would highly recommend this company!

Good service! Went on for an oil change, he was very quick. I was in and out in 20 minutes. He changed the oil, filter, and checked the tire pressure
