Very bad at communication. First they lost the estimate emailed by my insurance company (CC'd to me, so I know it was sent) and didn't realize until after I'd already waited a month for my initial drop off date. So I had to set up a new appointment for another month down the line. Then when they began work they didn't remain in contact at all. It took a week and a half after drop off until they even started working on my car and realized they needed to order more parts. Things happen, but at no point did anyone bother reaching out to me to let me know it was going to take an additional week and a half so I could adapt. Worst of all, instead of ever seeming the least bit apologetic they blamed every issue on my insurance company when it was clear the fault was on their end.Service: Body & Trim

I have had a lot of experience with body shops in the past and I have to say my experience with Thelen Body Shop in Bay City was the most pleasant experience. Front desk was very friendly and gave me lots of helpful info. The new girl was very helpful and she was upfront about being a new hire which I always appreciate.They replaced my front bumper and it looks perfect. Exact color and it's flush to the body of the car. Very happy with the work done to my car.10/10 would come back

Vehicle was under a claim from my insurance took to them as I have a Honda and they are a HONDA dealership. They clearly do not know what they are doing. I am now taking my vehicle which was suppose to be fixed back for a third time as there is another problem happening from after they touched it that was NOT an issue before. Also they tell you to bring your vehicle in like no one else works for a living and then make you schedule an appointment instead of checking it like they said they would. Poor work and poor service. Also nothing makes someone more mad then telling them they do not know what they are talking about when it is their vehicle and treating them like they are dumb. Several reworks on the same part. Not to bad of a shop if you have all the time in the world to keep taking your vehicals back. Had problems with 2 separate vehicles with reworks. 8 months later same issue and now they won't take care of it. Take your insurance money elsewhere!

Took care of things pretty quickly for the insurance company. And looked the vehicle over very good noting all repairs needed.
