I had a lot that went bad on my car and they quoted me a week and a half for them to get the parts in and get the work done, so after they got the car in two days after I dropped it off they called and said we're going to order the parts. The guy told me the parts should arrive next week by Thursday at the latest and your car should be done early to mid next week, so they would have had my car for 2 weeks or a little less, but after they called me that Friday, they called me one week later saying my car was done and ready to pick up. They are really good and had my car done in less time then what they were quoting me it would take. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and they got it in 2 days later on Friday to find out what was wrong and order all the parts they needed and a week after they got the car in the garage the repairs were done. I would recommend them to anyone who needs repairs done on their car..

The only issue I had was getting my truck in in a timely manner to have the check engine light looked at because they were so busy with other customers. They are honest and fair when it comes to their assessments of vehicles and can help you locate other services (go to car dealership for covered service issues) that can be fixed cheaper to the consumer.

The people that work at George's is great. Very friendly, professional, and very thorough in their work. I've taken more than 1 vehicle there to get inspected before buying. Very honest people. I've had work done on my vehicle also. Appointment was just a few days out and work done same day. They even came and picked me up to get my vehicle. Family owned and operated. Love the atmosphere and honest work. I would highly recommend this company.

I would definitely not recommend taking your car to George s besides trying to over charge me $111.65 they where rude and unprofessional! I would double check your bill and the work they claim they did on your car.

I have taken my vehicles to them several times and always felt I was being treated fairly, the work has always been done on time, and I've never had a problem with the work after. One thing I love about them is that they will inspect the vehicle and provide a written result of their findings, give you honest advice about what is important to fix and what can wait. They don't pressure you

I brought my truck in because it was stuck in limp mode. They managed to repair grounds and get it out of limp mode but now it won't shift correctly and they refused to refund or fix it. Was told to take it to Bullit Transmission. Long story short, brought in a non-working truck and endeded up with a non working truck and an 800$ bill. Will never return and HIGHLY reccomend you don't stop in either unless you'd like to be robbed.Service: Engine repair

Great service. I had a leaking fuel tank. They replaced the tank and the fuel pump since it was old, fuel filler neck as it was going. They also flushed the rear differential, changed plugs and gave the car a once over for 100k miles. They had misplaced the plastic engine cover and lost the nut, however they found it and ordered a new nut. Went to great effort to make sure I was happy and made it right.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

Tom always makes sure I m taken care of. If they can t squeeze me in, he does what he can to get me on the road again. First time I went here with my POS 2004 Ford Taurus, they quoted me about $450 to fix the issue. I told them that was going to be really hard for me to afford but I didn t have a choice cause I had to go to work. When I went to pick it up, it was only $250 as it went a lot quicker than anticipated and they passed the labor savings on to me. They forever got my loyalty after that. They maybe lost $200 on that transaction but I go to then for everything now cause they helped me out when I was desperate.

i bought a car for my wife for $1,000, and i knew there would be problems, at the time i never heard of georges, it was Tom (front desk), whose son Tommy, who has always been my car salesman at Feeny Chrysler Dodge of Midland, who referred me,i am so happy i brought the car here, and took the risk(because some small single owner shops are trying to essentially do a quick fix, and basically steal from you...Thats no Georges, just giveit a trym u wil be happy with price andd he work done, not to mention the fun environment...doint take my word for it, get yiur butt down there

George's is one of the best auto repair shops I've ever dealt with!! To me, they are heroes!! I was in Bay City on business, from Ontario, Canada and before I left to go there, I'd had work done to my vehicle which included new wheel bearings on the front. As it turns out, the driver's side bearing wasn't properly tightened and, after a 600-mile drive, my car had become quite dangerous. George's took it in first thing on a Monday morning when they were very busy and had many customers to deal with. I was out of there within 2 hours, job complete (fixed) and my car running just fine. The price was extremely reasonable too. Hats off to these people - I will never forget their kindness. Shout-out too to the folks at Travel Inn down the road who told me to go there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

George's is by far the most honest shop in the area. I've taken several cars there over the years and sometimes they didn't need the work I thought they did. Instead of just doing it and charging me, they're honest with me every time and tell me it doesn't need the work yet.They also don't upsell you, and any work they have done for me is always top notch. What more can you ask for from an auto shop?Wouldn't take my car anywhere else, these guys are the best.Services: Brakes, Auto brake replacement

Recently brought to them for a diagnostic test on my vehicle, was reported of failing cam and lifters.Quoting $3500 to $4000 on an extremely easy engine to work on.Price was way too high, granted 8 hrs labor and OE parts should have ran around $2100.Me and the boys fixed the issue in around 10 full hours.I've had better days with them, granted they don't like backyard mechanics.Vehicle was a Silverado 1500

Timing chain and Cam phasers replaced on my 2013 F150 Ecoboost back in November. Service was good. Few days after I picked it up after repairs preformed. Truck had a turbo air leak and the check engine light would flash upon acceleration. Took back replaced all spark plugs and fixed air tube that was installed wrong. After a month of driving we have a smell of burning oil coming into the cab. Thought maybe it was just left over oil from the repair burning off. Over the weekend 1/29/23 the smell is worse. I found that the left valve cover is cracked on the intake side causing oil to leak out onto to engine. I will not take this back to georges. I will repair this my self. Because i don't want the hassle and them to say it is something that just happens. That it wasn't there fault that their mechanic didn't break it. Like he said he made sure everything was installed correctly, like the turbo air tube.Service: Engine repair

We currently have our vehicle in their shop for a somewhat extensive engine repair, they called with an exact price to complete the work, at this point we re satisfied with how quickly our problem was addressed! I ll post an update after the repair is completed with more details2/14/22The repairs to our 2012 Equinox were done as expected, they actually were able to make the repairs sooner than expected. Use George's 3 times now, treated me great, got me in and out. Great pricing I will only go to George's for my truck for now on. I read the positive reviews and expected a good experience. However, I quickly learned that it was not to be. I had an appointment in the AM, so I dropped it off the night before. I waited 8 hours to hear from them and when I didn't, I called them. My car hadn't even been looked at yet. When I asked if it would be completed that day, as was my expectation, he told me to just come and get my car. Apparently, he did not take kindly to me asking a pertinent question! Very poor customer service. Very poor attitude. I will not recommend this auto repair to anyone I know.

The guys at this place actually heard my concerns and was able to answer them. The service was fast and thorough. And the prices were exceptional compared to most places. I will definitely be taking my vehicles here from now on

Wish I could give a 0 star review. Showed up to get brake lights fixed and they cracked my windshield and told me it was a stone chip. After having my vehicle for a week and leaving me in the dark on the update on it just to wreck my windshield. DO NOT BRING YOUR CARS HERE

I had a severe gas leak on my Chevy cobalt it is a common thing for those cars, I took my car to Raymond s auto repair on Columbus Ave. he was very unprofessional, complained about his life for over an hour. Took my car to get looked at he calls me couple hours later yelling telling me my car is leaking gas like crazy and I need to pick it up. And as I get it he says the same thing like I KNOW THATS WHY I TOOK IT IN. Priced me $600!!!! To fix it, so I called George s they were very professional and friendly fixed it for $300 half the price Raymond priced me. Had it fixed in 2 1/2 days! Great place highly recommend and definitely will be going back for more repairs on my car!

Awesome auto shop. We take our work fleet vehicles there and recently they weren t able to completely repair the problem due to no fault of their own (engine damage requiring replacement) they got the vehicle going and fully explained the issue. It earned our trust and continued business. Amazing service by Leslie, George and the auto technicians. 5 stars and much thanks!

Honest and reasonably priced. They've worked on every car I've ever had and kept them running longer than they should, giving me time to save for an upgrade. There aren't words for how much I appreciate this business. An honest car mechanic is worth gold!

I had my truck in to have the windshield wipers and headlights fixed. When I picked it up, the windshield wipers did not work. When I brought my car there for an engine problem years ago, they cleaned out the throttle body and said it was fixed. But the problem I told them about was not fixed. So, they don't check thier work, and they say they did. I'm not disputing the charges, because they did do the work, I checked. But I won't bring another of my vehicles there again. I pretty much feel I paid to have something done, and it was done, but there was absolutely no follow-up to make sure the issue was properly taken care of.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Electrical

Great service quick and the staff is awesome! Even tho we did not make an appointment we called and they got us right in. We live in Houghton Lake and it is well over an hour drive. However, we are happy to drive the distance if your looking for car repair call Matt or George up!

George's Auto is absolutely fantastic!!! I will be recommending everyone and anyone to go see them. All I needed was a coolant temperature sensor replaced and they beat every competitors price. If you're looking for cheap and quality work, they are the place to go!!!

Recently: My fianc� called 2 weeks out to have a heater core replaced in my vehicle. The man he spoke to stated the repair would take 6-8 hrs. and if there was any problems a day at the most; he also stated if we dropped the car off the night before or the next morning when they opened they would get it in right away and start on it cause it's a big job. We dropped it off that morning the day it was scheduled @ 8a with the parts for the repair. I called in the afternoon shortly after 2p on the same day I dropped it off to see if there was any problems and if they needed me to drop off any other parts. The man told me you know this will take a week and I wont be able to get your car to you till next week; he also stated they didn't even pull my car in to start it yet. He proceeded to tell me at that time they only had 1 person to do heater cores and they have put him on diagnostics as well. So my problem with all of this is I took 2 days off of work to get this repair done because of the time frame I was told when it would be done. My car sat the entire day in the parking lot without being looked at. When we went to drop the keys off the first thing said to my fianc� is you know this will take a week; clearly it was stated to him a day at the most. If you have 1 person for that certain job you should have scheduled him for that day. I fully understand there may be other vehicles that needed to go in before mine, but I made an appt 2 weeks out to get this repair done. Big job or not my car shouldn't have sat in the parking lot. Lost my business and I will be going somewhere else for the repair. I did pick my car up the next day.

My car was overheating and I had just enough time to pull into George's. Tom was at the front desk, came outside and went above and beyond to help me get it back on the road as quickly as possible with a full shop. Quality service. God bless George's

I usually never go to a mechanic shop unless it's an emergency because I try to do everything myself. But well my car broke down and the car was towed to this place. The car was fixed in a timely manner and the shop advised me to get some other parts that were worn out. They weren't ripping me off because the car, previously was pulling to one side when braking but as soon as the part they recommended to be changed was changed, that stmptom was gone.On top of that, the labor and parts were i would say competitive but again I wouldn't know because I usually DIY everything myself.The experience was fantastic and the owner was such a pleasure man to talk to and work with.I hope people use this shop rather than other shops around.*I'm not hired by anyone or got paid from his place. Just wanted to leave a genuine review
