Great guys there Bob rebuilt transmission 2yrs ago and it had some problems and he helped me out and fixed the issue was to no-fault of there's.. and got us back on the road..Thank you BAY TRANSMISSIONS..

Overall, I'm happy with the quality of work. However, the fact that they used up over 1/2 tank of fuel test driving my vehicle, and having left me with less than 1 gallon of gas in the tank, is upsetting. I also found the communication and efficiency of getting the work done sub-par. I had also asked to inspect my old parts, which they never could find when I was there in the shop on 2 different occasions.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair

Bob is a delight to work with! I wasn t able to meet him until the day i picked up my truck, and he treated me as if he had always known me.On NYE my truck broke down over 200 miles from home. Over that weekend I dropped it off at a Bay Auto Repair (who were great as well) with only a note. They weren t able to repair what was actually broke, and kindly had it towed to Bay Transmissions. With only being able to talk with me over the phone, Bob put so much work and effort into getting my truck fixed and returned back to me.On the trip back home, I had zero issues. I didn t think I could become happier with the service i received, but the long trip proved otherwise!

We called in advance, told them we needed the car to do to Texas for Christmas, made an appointment well in advance, drove 300 miles RT, 5 HOURS on the road, dropped off our vehicle the night before appt. The car sat for 1 week before they called to say they were short staffed, had bad weather, and could not get parts to rebuild our trans. They ruined our holiday plans to go see our daughter. We understand things can happen, but to let it sit for a week was inexcusable. We lost valuable time and money going back and forth. Beyond disappointed.

This is one of the most helpful and sincere automotive businesses I have encountered. Bob is so knowledgable, and treated me as an equal and not a naive woman. Honest people are hard to come by theses days. I would 100% recommend there services. These guys are the real deal.

Very poor communication, have had our vehicle nearly a month(after telling us it would be a week), I've had to call them several times to check on the status of said vehicle only to get excuse after excuse and promise after promise, the last time I spoke to the owner he made it seem as if I'm harassing him and/or rushing him to hurry and get it done.Unfortunately they either received or damaged said parts the first time they got it and tried to just weld it together and put it on but realized it wouldn't work so had to order yet another part which nobody communicated to us that it didn't get there til nearly 2 days (I called one day they said give them til the following week)after they were supposed to have the car fixed (this is after the second deadline of saying it would be fixed) and the owner was so gruff with me the last time I spoke with him I was nearly in tears and I'm no crybaby it was that bad.

I was hauling cabinets from Wolverine down to Detroit and happened to break down at the Bay City exit. Called these guys and they were super nice and helpful. They had an employee drive me to the local mall while I waited on them to look at my truck. Then after they informed me the parts couldn t be in until the morning, they drove me to my hotel and offered to come pick me up the next day when the truck was ready to go. You won t find more helpful people! Highly recommend!

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very fair prices and high quality work. I can't praise Bay Transmissions enough. As a classic car owner, I trust Bay Transmission with some of my most prized possessions, and they never disappoint. Quality is sometimes hard to find , but it still exists at Bay Transmission.

I drove up from Arizona and had problems with my navigator staying in 4high. They rebuilt my transfer case and even installed a part I brought in myself to save me some money(on a vacation budget) got it all done in 4 days and at a fair price!

Bob and his crew replaced the clutch on my 2001 blazer and did an awesome job. There stuff went above and behind to get my blazer fixed in a timely manner. If you are need of a transmission fix this is the place to go. Most definitely be bringing any transmission problems i have to bay transmission.

I recently had occasion to take my automobile to Bay Transmissions upon recommendation of Morgan's garage which I have patronized for years. I found Tom and all the gentlemen who work there to be very professional and friendly. He kept my car for two days and determined that the problem is not transmission-related. I truly appreciate his taking the time to explain everything to me in language I can understand. I recommend this fine Bay City business to all who require this service. Diann Gorte

I ve had my vehicle in the shop 3 different times now. My car was reliable before they touched it. For the amount you pay to have them put a rebuilt transmission in for you, you d think you would get some sort of quality. Super disappointed. Don t go here.

Called there to get a pricing on how much fixing a part in my car would be & the guy told me twice the amount as every other auto place. Took advantage of me being a girl. Luckily I knew it wasn t that much. Watch out for unfair pricing.

Fast, friendly, affordable!With a quick inspection, they diagnosed the problem and got the parts to fix it. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to my friends.

My Volkswagen Beetle's transmission was not going into second gear until it reached 40 mph. I had a long and difficult experience trying to find someone to fix this UNTIL I walked into Bay Transmissions. The Volkswagen dealer wanted to charge me over $8000. Bay Transmissions saved the day!!!!! They charged me a very reasonable price and my Bernadette purrs!!!!!! I cannot thank them enough for saving my car!!!!!;

Bay Transmission is a great place for quality reasonable transmission work and replacement. It is not only for transmissions though and they will check out any problem and if they cant do the repair they can send you elsewhere to a good reasonable place that will take care of your problem.

After keeping our truck there for 2 days, the apparent owner told my husband that he was too busy to do any work on it... when it breaks down then bring it back to me...wow this company needs more employees, here's a thought HIRE MORE MECHANICS....

Straight forward, knowledgable, great work. Shifts better than the day I bought it. 2004 avalanche 4l60e. Smooth shifts, no more hard 1-2 shifts.

In my personal opinion this is the best transmission shop in mid Michigan very respectful staff the owner Tom is just an awesome guy to deal with I would highly recommend this shop to everyone
