I have a 2014 Ford F-150 Lariat. Has 106k miles on it and thought, geez, I probably should have a tune up. I like to shop around and get the best price and great service so I started calling a few places in Battle Creek. They all asked for information about the truck, my name, my number etc,etc. They would work up a quote and get back to me. There was one exception. Double E Auto asked for all the same information BUT they gave me a price right then, on the phone!None of the other places called me back!So, took my truck into Double E on the day and time of the appointment (which was like a day or two later). They called me ahead of the promised time to pick it up and the price, well it was less than what they quoted. I mean, quicker than promised, less than quoted .. who does that? Double E, that s who. I highly recommend them for vehicle service.

I was able to get my car looked at and fixed in the same day. GREAT work. VERY professional, honest and reasonable. I've been looking for an honest mechanic and I found them today.

This is a 2 man team certified and work hard.They may take a little longer but, worth the expertise and they focus on one car at at time.They do amazing work, this isnt the first time I have been here and wont be my last.Before you judge just remember its not 6 people randomly fixing your car.They give your car all the attention it needs.

Great mechanics my alternator suddenly went out (previous repair) they got it replaced and buttoned back up and back on the road in a little more than an hour.

I called to get some info on a problem my car was having. After speaking with the guy for a minute or so, I asked what the cost would be for the specific part I needed. He sighed like he was upset and said ..." I guess I can look it up". I told him that I didn't want to put him out. Look. I know people are busy. I also know that my car is in need of repair and that is their business. I will not take my car to a place that acts like I'm an inconvenience. I've never used them before and I definitely will not be using them in the future.

Never once had an issue with the people or the work I get done at this place. Hard working employees, very polite and very helpful. They will make sure you understand what's going on with your vehicle as best they can and will answer any and all questions you have. Pricing is reasonable for any repairs or replacements. Really appreciate the fact that they could work with me on a time that fits my schedule as well. 5 star service.

There are very few mechanics in Battle Creek. They all take forever to get your car back. At least they are trustworthy with the work they do. Reasonable pricing.

They are extremely professional and informative! They actually take the time to explain everything and they thoroughly answer all of my questions. I ve never seen a garage that worked so hard and diligently! You can t find a more professional and hard working group, then Darby and his crew!!! Highly recommended! Their respect, honesty and perfection of repairs... will always keep my business.Double E is where to be when your car is in need!

Double E went above and beyond the call of service for us. We were recommended by Lakeview Body Shop and we had to get the car fixed fast for an important trip to Chicago.Right now all auto repair shops are short on mechanics due to covid. The previous (won't mention) auto repair center wanted to replace the catalytic converter and quoted almost two weeks to do the job. Double E found the problem to be just a simple fuse, and was able to fix the car within a few days of making a reservation.Honesty and Integrity are a great find, and we are glad we were recommended to go to Double E.

Had my A/C motor go out, gave them a call and it was repaired and back in my hands in under a week. Came in under the estimate and was very pleased with the work. Fast, friendly and affordable! Not sure what else you could ask for from a garage. I will be back for sure.

I do not even give them one star.They had a friend of mine's van for almost two weeks for it to sit for the first week no one looked at, when my friend called to how it was doing after week they say Internet is down, only thing wrong is breaks need done an said all the other noise we hear is nothing. My friend tells them after almost two weeks an says he will be there today to pick car up what time you close? They said 5. We came at 3 an everyone left early.So far three people have showed up also about their cars.Very sad an bad business.Never againAn hour later an still no one answers. SMH

Our car started acting up on a trip from Michigan to Illinois. We luckily just happened upon Double E. They were extremely nice, honest, reasonably priced, and had our car fixed within a few hours. Highly recommended!

This place is great -- very honest, which is hard to find at a repair shop. My caliper seized and I had to get it towed, knew nothing about any repair shops in Battle Creek, so I was nervous on what the price would be/work done, etc.I went in the next day and Dave was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Real friendly, and just made the experience great (no one likes to go to a repair shop!).He then called me to let me know it was just a loose bolt on my caliper and that he tightened it up as well as the others and said, "we all have to get lucky sometimes!" I thanked him for his honesty as I thought for sure my caliper had seized and my rotors, pads, etc, were all shot.Definitely a place to go for any repairs -- I think I'll be taking my cars there for any future repairs even though I live in Portage as a good repair shop is like finding a good Dr. = very hard!

I have used Double E since 1995. John, the old owner was always very honest and easy to deal with. I trusted them with all of my vehicle needs.I was pretty sure I needed a new battery for my car. They scheduled my appointment for 11am. I was told if I dropped the car. Off early, they may be able to take a look before then. I dropped my car off the night before. We waited all day...no phone call...my fianc� called at 1pm. They hadn't looked at it yet! Then I called around 3pm...they did an oil change and still hadn't looked at it! Finally, at 4:30, they called me...they were told to call my fianc� because I was at work...My fianc� took the day off so he could take care of the car issues for me while I was at work. Anyway, at 4:30, they tell me that I need a new battery...which I already knew! Then they proceeded to tell me that it would be almost $400!!! Then on top of that, they couldn't even get to the battery today because they were too busy! I spoke with Warren, who is the manager...he was extremely rude. He was actually upset with me because I was mad that the car was not fixed. I accused him of overbooking the shop so he couldn't get to my car. He was quite irritated and told me that he had 15 cars to repair! I told him he just totally lost my business. He could leave my keys in the car and I would pick my car up after work. His response..."What about the money you owe me?" You know for the oil change and the once over look at the battery. $112.13! I told him I would leave a check in the drop box.I figured I am going to cut my losses and say lesson learned!I then went to pick up my car...after hours...my car would not start! These people are total crooks! I miss John and Dave! I will never go back ever again! I even wrote it on my check so that at least the bank can see it! Please beware! This is not the same Double E Auto I knew and loved!Now just a week later, I'm leaving work an I noticed an oil leak!!! I have NEVER had an oil leak!!! These people messed my car up!

Had an occasional low pressor sensor warning in the instrument panel display and the gauge would show it drop down and then come back up. I knew it was an oil pressure sensor and that it was located right next to the oil filter so waited until due for an oil change and took it in here.Told Casey when I dropped it off what i suspected and the warnings came on along with the service engine soon light. Got a call 5 hrs later that it was ready for pickup. Picked it up and it was 1 hr labor to replace the switch when all it does is unscrew out next to the oil filter that they were right at when they were changing the oil. Questioned and they said we charge standard hours for what it would take a average joe to replace it. Even though it took them 5 minutes.Also charged $81 for a the part which is $22 from Napa auto. I expect some markup obviously, but not $174 to replace a $22 part in 5 minutes of work. In addition to not providing any estimate of costs as required by Michigan law.After all that and when I pick it up the Service Engine Soon light is still on... They didn't even clear the lights.Was looking for a new honest service shop and apparently this is not the place for that.

This place had my car done very quickly. I am very pleased with the prices and the professional business not to mention they are honest and that is hard to find. Would highly recommend them to anyone will also go back if I ever need to. Thanks Double E !!! Great service!!!

Dont take you car here! The manager Warren tried taken advantage of my family's misfortune. Offered us way under value for are car and when we said no he chared us for doing nothing when he said we would have no charge for them doing nothing. He got upset and even told me he was charging us 93dollar's for taking two bolts off and putting them back on. He was upset that we didnt let him screw us and he screwed us any way he could. Are car set there two days what a crook and ill gladly pay 93dollar's to learn a valuable lesson, stay away from double e

They kept my car for 10 days before they had a chance to look at it during those 10 days they put 100 miles on the car they said the repairs would cost $900 when I refused they offered to buy the car from me NEVER NEVER GO HERE STAY AWAY. I took a picture of the mileage just before I brought it to them when I asked them about the 100 miles they lied directly to my face and said no they didn't do it When I asked them how much was the estimate the estimate they said we didn't owe them anything I thought that was very strange it's very obvious they used the car.

I went to had my 91 van il change and both output seals where leaking. Both seals where install incorrectly by a mechanic at Professional Muffler. I had ask that Charles Safford to work on mt van, but other mechanic done the work. I did maintenance for the U.S. Army for 29 years and was a maintenance instructor for 23 years and train Soldiers the proper way to install seals. When Charles went to Double E and started to go to Double E and all 8 of my vehicles. I am not the only one who change shops I know of two business that use to be at Professional Muffler that now use Double E plus lot of customers who have done the same.

BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!Not the old owners.. They're crooks that will swap your parts with bad ones, Warren the manager is a shady rude character that will drain your $ while actually setting you up to fail in the long run. Never going back, If I broke down across the street, I'd call a tow to the nearest garage.

I had a small issue with my car and they were able to fix it right away. I was in and out in less than an hour. The price was little high but I had excellent service.

awesome service great guys casey and charles they are very knowledgeable i took my van there and they not only took me out and showed me what the problem was they gave me a great price on the repair i will definitely be taking all my work there as well as all my friends and family

Truck wasn't done when expected also fuel gage wasn't repaired but is running now. Also have brake and abs lights on after returning to me
