He ll charge you to diagnose issues you already told him exist , last time I took my car there it looked like he didn t even touch my car still doing the same thing and part didn t look to be replaced or new tell I said something to him to get it back in the shop , I then started doing all my own work and noticed a few things not put back together correctly and I had to drive my car for about a week to get it back in to fix what I already paid him for. Russ came to my business a few weeks before Elite opened to let me know that he was opening up his own shop in Bark River and he needed some banners and signage made. He performed work for me previously when he was working as an employee in another shop and produced great results so when I found out he was opening his own shop, I knew I had to give him my business. I have 6 vehicles and one of them always needs something done to it. I just picked up a new summer vehicle and it needed a good amount of TLC to make it daily-drivable. I let Russ know all of the things I THOUGHT were wrong with the vehicle and let him know what was important to me(this is not a vehicle that needs to be perfect so I just wanted some main specific things done) and within 1 day, he had a estimate for every one of my concerns. When the time came to book my appointment, he was able to get me in right away(within 4 days) to diagnose and fix these issues. He kept me in the loop the whole time, informed me of what he would do to it if it were his vehicle, let me know exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and an exact quote for every individual thing it needed and let me pick and choose what to get done. Within 2 days, I had my vehicle back and I couldn t be happier! I will be back for any of my automotive repair needs! Incredibly honest, super efficient, informative, kind and professional. Russ is so knowledgeable! He knew exactly what was wrong with our car, got the part and fixed it within an hour! He is also very honest and fair. He had given us a price before working on the car and it actually came out to be less than expected! Very personable business and kid friendly. 5 out of 5 stars!

STRANDED ON A SATURDAY NIGHT....A LIFE SAVER!We were traveling to Hancock from Traverse City area when our alternater went out. It was a Saturday night (yikes!) The parts store highly recommended Russell and contacted him for us. Russell said he'd offer his services early the next day... which was a Sunday! Not only did he go out of his way (after hours), but he did an excellent job, and for a very fair price! He had us up and running in no time. I can't say enough good about him! What a great feeling to finally bring my vehicle in to a garage where I didn t have to worry about getting ripped off! Besides doing an oil and filter change, addressing electrical issues, Russ went the extra mile and had a battery delivered to the garage for my Jeep at no extra charge. The battery was still under warranty so I would have gone to Auto Zone to have it replaced, but Russ saved me the time by having it done for me! What a wonderful surprise . Thank you so much, Russ! Had such a great experience at Elite Auto Garage! Russ was very knowledgeable and helpful for the hand full of issues from electrical to diagnostic to coolant flush, to replacing worn parts on my F-150. He kept me in the loop every step of the way, didn t overcharge, no hidden fees, and made paying him very easy. Russ is an all star mechanic. He can diagnose any issue quickly and fix it accurately. Absolutely fair rates. Quick turn around time. I rarely trust mechanics but I 100% trust the work of Russ. You won t be disappointed!

My schedule is week to week for work, so it is hard to plan far ahead, I called for a much needed brake job on my Nissan and they got me is fast! I went to another shop who told me I needed a new engine. Rus diagnosed and found out I only needed some new head gaskets. He was very professional and did excellent work. Russ changed out the Rear brakes and front sway bar links on our vehicle, added an oil change in there when I realized it was due, as well as a quick diag from a pesky light. Russ has done a number of things for me personally including an engine rebuild on my race car. This guy came to the races and when I had trouble (the trouble was with my transmission, something he didn t work on), Russ came literally running from the grandstands to try and get it fixed.
