If I could negative stars I would. Bought 2023 Maverick Sport.Pros: Salesman was great to work with and very knowledgeable. That's it.Cons: Machine and service suck.First week drive shaft needed to be replaced. It was terribly loud and had a recall. Breaks squeal terribly. Steering loose. Brought in for First 1000 mile oil change ($584, insane) to have issues looked at, and the steering is still loose and now off center. I asked if the breaks were checked, and they stated they "don't know". Needless to say, I pull out of the parking lot and the breaks are still squeeling. Also, the rattling coming from this machine (up to 30 mph) is unbearable. I'm not sure which is worse, the machine or the dealer. Emailed BRP and they recommend bringing the issues to another dealer. Really? That's the solution? They also forgot to install a handfull of rivets on the skid plate when they removed it. I will never buy or recommend a Can Am or this dealership. Should have stayed with Kawasaki.STAY AWAY.6 months later gone through 3 batteries (with nothing plugged in).

My son and I were on a 600 mile trip from Wisconsin when he broke a track adjusting block. Part was available the next day, but the parts man went out to his truck and took the block off of his sled so we could continue on our trip. Awesome group of people at this store!

Awesome experience with Deven, Derek & the entire crew at Ride North Houghton. Came in because my sled was having clutching issues they got the issue resolved same day on such short notice. Next day I came in because I realized I didn t like my new Summit like I thought I would. I wanted to get back on a Rmk. The entire staff did everything they could to make it happen. I got a good trade in value and a great price on my new sled. Overall extremely happy with my experience. You have earned a repeat customer!

Have worked with the service department multiple times very helpful had my machine back up and running in a very timely manner I live an hr and a half away and still reach out to them before going anywhere else!

A bunch of frauds working here. Brought a couple of brand new kayo k4 dirt bikes that were purchased from here to be fixed under warranty and they attempted to ignore me telling them many times about the warranty. The bikes were returned in not good condition. Wires and air filter were chewed by mice while sitting in their lot for a month, several bolts were very loose and I had to fix their mess ups. Bikes run good now that I did the work. Wish I knew of somewhere else that sold Kayo parts so I didn t have to go here

Bought a new sled from these guys. Rick was easy to work with!!! Devon is a great finance manager!!! Love the sled. First one I ve bought that was new!!! I highly recommend these guys.

I purchased a new 2022 can am 450 outlander on 2/1/23. When I arrived home with it and tried to unload it from the truck it would not start. I was able to get it started with my battery charger and brought it into the heated garage for the night and put a 2 amp trickle charge on it. The next morning it would not start again. I called ride north and told them what was going on and they had me go to the local can am dealer where I live and get a new battery that they paid for. (I didn't buy locally because they didn't have any stock left)I used the 4 wheeler 5 times ice fishing and it was fine each time, until this past week. I tried starting it and it would not start. I put a trickle charge on it and it still wouldn't start, until I put a 10 amp boost to it.I called ride north again and explained what was going on. They commented "weird", and Matt the service manager said it could be the stator because he had that happen to another new can-am that they sold.The machine only has 12 miles on it and it is stored in a heated garage, it shouldn't have another dead battery.After talking with ride north in Houghton, I have brought it to the can am dealer locally and they have it in their shop at this time.I purchased new so I wouldn't have these headaches from a new machine.The good news is my 2000 Arctic Cat 500 is running fine.The personnel at ride north were basically the same as many others, as they are in the business to sell.As far as my overall review and any follow-up, that is yet to be determined.The local Can am dealer called and said they had to order a new voltage regulator for my new Can am I bought from ride north on 2/1/23 and has 12 miles on it. The part is supposed to be released 4/25/23 & I am hoping I have it back in proper running condition, shortly after.As far as Todd Royce, the guy who responded to my initial review, you should respond in a timely fashion if you want customers to actually think you care. I responded to your email week ago with my contact info and haven't heard from you at all, must be poor cell service.Regards

Every time I step into Houghton Power Sports I have an amazing experience! Your always greeted when you walk inside and you will receive Top Notch sales, parts, service and financing. I personally want to thanks Rick and Todd for their exceptional knowledge of the toys your interested in and will walk you through every step of the process. Jonah in the service department rocks and gets your needs taken care of ASAP! HPS has a large inventory of toys and if they don't have it there they will find it at their sister stores. You will not be disappointed from this Team!

Had a clutch problem on a Friday afternoon. Talked to Matt by phone and he told me to come in, but I was a couple hours away. I pulled in 30 minutes before closing time. Matt and Luke pulled my clutch and fixed the issue. Saved my weekend! Can't say enough about how awesome these guys are!!!

The only place to buy toys! Tremendous staff-- they all go the extra mile to ensure that everything is right. Deven handled a hiccup from my bank with ease and confidence. I couldn't be more happy about my time. Buy your sled/ATV here you won't be disappointed!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Called earlier in the week to get a new key programmed for our older skidoo. Spoke to Jonah who over the phone was very helpful and said their schedule was wide open just bring it in. My husband gets one day off per week, so he brought it in and thats where the customer service nightmare started. The mechanic told my husband he couldn't get it started and the carbs needed to be cleaned , no problem let's do it. The mechanic said well it will be two weeks before it's done (again no issue but confusing as we were just told you didn't have much of anything going on). Finally after the mechanic didn't have any more excuses the mechanic said he wasn't going to take the job on because he had newer sleds to work on. Complete waste of time, slipped on ice in their parking lot and the lack of professionalism is ridiculous. Called Jonah after the fiasco as he knew exactly what we were bringing in we take great care of our machines and for him to waste our time was just ridiculous. If you treat all your customers like this you won't be in business long

Awesome dealer! I was out of town on a snowmobile trip and my new sled wasn t running right. I called these guys on a Thursday morning and they had me bring my sled in. They diagnosed a bad fuel pump and replaced it in the same day! Great group of guys who know their stuff! Just wish I lived closer so I could bring my stuff there every time! Thank you again!

Thanks to Brad in the parts dept for his help to solve our helmet problem. We are 10 hours from home and didn't buy our helmets from them, but he found us a replacement for the brand new cord that broke so we could continue to ride. Everyone there was friendly and helpful -- highly recommend!

My son and I purchased 5 snowmobiles for our business in the late fall of 2020. We asked them to deliver them to us in December and they graciously agreed when we wrote them a check for almost $50,000. We asked several times to be delivered were told they were trying to get an enclosed trailer to bring them out after several attempts it was suggested they would bring them out on an open trailer in a couple trips and we could power wash them from the slush and dirt , in December! We made three trips back there with our 2 place enclosed trailer and picked them up! They didn t say anything to us at this point. We brought our used sled back there in January/February for warranty service they fixed it we paid our $500 deductible and after 20 miles of use the exact same problem occurred they told us there was nothing they could do we paid the additional approx $700 repair, agin! Not happy. Called Ski Doo customer service they have reached out to us after approx 30 days of us calling them. After 3 months now no resolve. I m 55 years old and own several businesses this is my first review-ever of any business. If your all too busy to take care of your customers that dog will come back to bite you some day!

We were on a back pack trip from Wisconsin. The break light was on the dash and not going off. I called and they said to stop in and they will be able to look at my 2020 850 Polaris snowmobile with 350 miles on it. I stopped in and was told that they would have to charge me $60.00 to look at it. I was shocked since it s a new machine with a 4 year warranty. Then I was told if it was the switch they did not have one in stock. How can you tell me it was the switch without even looking at it. I felt like there customer service was awful. Not even willing to take a look at the machine if it was a simple fix. The kicker was the service guy told me he wishes he could do something but the manager stepped out for an hour.

Excellent experience, great customer service and would definitely recommend to others. A family member recommended Houghton Powersports for the purchase of a new sled and I was extremely happy he did so. Brad, my sales rep was very knowledgeable and assisted me in building an awesome custom sled that fit all of my needs. Brad made some great suggestions and provided quality feedback to all of my questions and would recommend using him if your in the market for a new sled.

Not a good experience. Needed a new helmet while on a trip so went there due to no other options in town for what I wanted. We walked in and spent 15 mins looking at helmets trying to figure out what is what. My wife had to go ask someone to help us and was told oh we didn t see you guys. Sorry to interupt coffee time. Even though we walked in as the guy unlocked the door at opening time. Purchased a helmet only to find out 10 mins up the trail it was missing the bottom piece that blocks the wind from coming in the helmet. I called to ask and was told service was to busy and they would need to call me back or I can call back later if I wanted to. Super helpful. We rode the sleds there and it was confirmed I was missing the piece I needed. Service half way installed it then handed it to me to finish while they walked away and 5 people stood there and watched me try and figure out how to install it. I know I m from out of town, and not a normal customer, so I am sorry to bother you all, I hope next time I m in town I won t need anything and won t inconvenience you.

My father bought a brand new Polaris voyager snowmobile from this dealership. He drove my Polaris pro rmk and commented how well it handled. I noticed on his sled, that they did not install the spacers in the ski to adjust the ski stance.We went to the dealership and they refused to correct the problem stating that there is no way they could have missed those spacers during assembly.He has bought a lot of machines from them but not anymore. He will be shopping elsewhere from now on. Customer service lacks care and respect.

Had Michelle and Tiffany help me with my new sled purchase a month ago. I live 8 hrs away and would buy from them again in a heartbeat. Customer service is top notch, best I've seen in all honesty. I'll be back

Been here getting help for the last few hours, just a random motorcyclist in emergency need of a tire. Why would they care? They have absolutely gone way above and beyond any reasonable effort to help me out. These people, specifically Melanie and Dominique in service are awesome as hell.

Bought a set of handgaurds, the led light strip, and brackets from them on from Facebook. The bracket kit were missing pieces. Contacted them, they set up a game plan then the person I bought them from left and was left forgotten until I got back in touch with them. Worked with Tyler then and he got things taken care of right away. Would definitely buy from them again.

Went here last year with some issues on my turbo etec, they weren't comfortable with working on my sled but they stepped up anyways. What could have been a trip ending issue with my sled going through a set of reeds the sales manager stepped up and hooked me up with a used set of reeds out of one of his personal motors at his house since the nearest set wasn in Madison. This is what dealerships are supposed to be like, going above and beyond to make someone's riding enjoyable. I will not go anywhere else when I visit the UP, hands down awesome customer appreciation and quality from the service, parts, and sales departments. Thank you again Houghton Powersports!!

These reviews mean nothing when they re all from employeesI don t need permission to disregard fake reviews.You are artificially inflating your ratings with business exchanges that never happened.As a salesman you must see the issue at hand.Nobody likes a dishonest salesman.Let your work speak for itself rather than sending out a mass message to all of your store locations employees
