Honest and professional.We needed a headlight replacement for my Ford and my son took the car to this location... they could have easily taken advantage of the situation but they did NOT... instead, they exhibited courtesy and charged us an extremely reasonable price while completing the job within minutes.They just earned our commitment to their business for the foreseeable future.Thank you!

I ve been getting my oil changed here since moving to the area and always have a great experience. The employees are kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. They have you in and out quickly. Cars are not my expertise but they make it quick and effortless. Definitely recommend!

I have been coming here for 20 years and the crew has always taken care of me and my wife. They are fast, friendly and Ed s always has a coupon I can use. Best part of using Ed s is you can come in between oil changes for a top off or a tire pressure check. Thank you Justin, James and the rest of the crew for keeping us safe and filled. You guys are the best!

For my whole life I have hated getting my oil changed. Always felt like I was being taken advantage of, things I didn t need were being upsold. And I always was procrastinating on getting it done because of this so the oil was often low/dark/etc leading to reprimanding. At one point I told my partner I had to wait a couple weeks because I couldn t afford it. He was like, it only costs like 30$ what do you mean?? I was so mad because I don t think I ve ever paid less than 75$, event with coupons. So after that he did the oil changes.3 months ago I was way over on miles and he was out of town so I pulled in here. These guys were courteous, knowledgeable, explained everything and it was less than $75. I ended up coming back today because I m getting close to the date. They remembered me and my car and again had a good experience. Gonna keep coming back here.

Professional and Honest! They are upfront about costs, and they don't take advantage of people.I was observing how the techs communicate with each other and treat other customers while I was here for an ATF change, and I was very impressed. They have an effective system of communicating what they're doing so they can tag team on different cars to speed up the service. It's clear they have quality control practices to avoid mistakes.I watched a foreign elderly couple who didn't seem to know anything about cars pull up with a check engine light. James, the manager, was very courteous and honest with them. He identified their problem (their catalytic converter was starting to go bad), politely explained it to them in words they would understand, and sent them on their way free of charge. He could have totally taken advantage of them if he wanted, but that's not the kind of shop he runs. It showed me what kind of character these guys have.I will definitely be coming back here, and I plan to tell my friends and family about my positive experience.

They took awesome care of us. My family was driving through on the way to Ohio and the car was acting up. It was an issue I d had people try and fix, but kept coming back. I knew and oil change would help, and Justin did a little more investigation and have us a great lead on the true issue. Changed the oil and fluids, took care of the tires, all super fast. great folks here.

Justin provides the best customer service around town. He remembers small details that I do not expect, he never upsells me on something I don t need, and is real about when something is wrong. As a woman in this economy, I know I can trust Justin to tell the truth. I ve gone specifically to this location for years because I feel safe bringing my vehicle to a space where women are often taken advantage of.

I LOVE THESE GUYS. as an obviously gay man whose knowledge of cars is limited to they eat gas and fart energy , I have had almost nothing but negative experiences getting work done on my car. Condescension, outright lies, and getting scammed by people who have treated my straight friends and relatives fairly has all been par for the course.Uncle Ed s is fair, kind, and honest. They don t talk down to me or trot out the hard sell to pressure me to get additional services done. They are honest about the relative urgency of each service they recommend, and explain things patiently and clearly with kindness and a sense of humor. I cannot overstate what a joyful relief it is to have these guys around. God bless Uncle Ed s fr.

I have been getting my oil changed for years here because of excellent service. I've had an exhaust issue in my car cab for a long time. I brought the car into two exhaust shops with no relief. Lo and behold, I mentioned the issue to Justin (manager) he said, "Give me one minute, and I'll see what I can find." He took a photo of the leak and said he could fix it if I brought a patch kit to him. Justin put the patch on, and I'm breathing fresh air in my cab!I want to let everyone know that Uncle Ed's will continue getting my business.I went to Uncle Ed's on a friend's recommendation to begin with.This is a business that believes in excellent customer service.Thank you, Uncle Ed's!

The staff here is always very friendly and helpful. Recently (December 2023) I purchased a new car battery from a local auto store and brought it into this washtenaw location to have it switched out with my new one. The staff did wonderful work, but discovered that I was sold a dead battery. Since they had already removed my other dead battery I was left stranded and the auto store was not being accommodating. The staff that night worked together and had one of their employees drive to the store to exchange the battery for me while others stayed past their shift ending to help finish the work. They went above and beyond and remained professional and friendly throughout the entire experience. I'll continue to be back!Service: Oil change

I had a very nice experience at Uncle Ed s Oil Shoppe. The technicians were very pleasant and helpful. They were so fast too! They changed my oil, headlight, windshield wipers, and fixed the air in my tires in about 15 minutes.

For sure a little pricey but the people working have always been super nice and very fast. I don't have to make an appointment or plan, I can just roll up and they check all the other things that usually slip my mind maintenance wise.I appreciated Nicholas and Nathan's help today!

They really saved my day. I was the way to my daughter's basketball game and driver wiper broke. Yes winter snowy day too. Snow turn slush at that. They quickly replaced my wiper and filled fluid and a tire check. For the price of a wiper and fast. Thank you guys.

Came for an oil change early before a big road trip. Even with some delays for internet problems out of their control, it was still the fastest and most professional oil change experience I've ever had. Super friendly and knowledgeable technicians made it an ideal trip taking less than 30 minutes total, and I didn't even have to leave the car.

Went in because my oil light and tire lights were on. However my oil light has only briefly appeared but I wanted to get it checked out. They looked at it and realized I just needed to top off the oil and they inflated the tires. I appreciate that they did not try to upsell me and were very helpful.

I had a wonderful experience here, this is the place I always go for an oil change!! Wonderful service from some kind and helpful gentlemen, David, Jay, Justin, and Brendan. The guys were informative and took the time to explain things to me, because I like to understand what s going on with the miscellaneous tune-ups I sometimes get when I get my oil changed (like light replacement, cabin filter replacement, recommended upkeep measures for my car s model). They even did my radiator fluid at no charge, which was so appreciated. Highly recommend. As a girl who doesn t know cars, the guys at Uncle Ed s have always been so kind, transparent, and helpful!!! Today I was worried about my coolant on my Volkswagen Beetle and James and Trent helped me not only with that but with my oil, wiper fluid, tires, and more! Uncle Ed s on Washtenaw Ann Arbor.It started just fine until I noticed cars coming and going and I was not.I had to finally ask what the problem was, Oil filter . Then I was asked what kind of vehicle I have. I responded with, Your kidding, right? Then I saw they found the oil filter.I continued to watch the MEN come and go again. 30 mins into the oil change, I asked again what the problem was. I was told by Nick that the oil plug was rounded out and they had to order one for delivery. After a few words with Nick he said, I don t know what to tell you . Nick then offered to have a visiting neighboring store manager talk to me. This manager showed me the oil plug with the socket stuck on the top. While talking to me he looked at the socket and plug and said what a minute . He then gave the plug and socket to Mike and Mike went outside to the front of my bay and proceeded to throw the socket and plug on to asphalt several times. Then the manager took it from him and released the socket from the plug using two wrenches.They then installed the plug back into the truck oil pan. When I asked the manager he offered to let me see the plug, but they had to remove it from the truck and upon my inspection of the plug, the plug threads were damaged.Earlier, Nick ordered a new plug from O Rielly s auto parts and after 1 hour and 20 mins they finally changed my oil.I received a $20 credit for a $112 bill.I have been visiting this location for probably 20 yrs and it s been sad to watch it errode.Going forward I will need to rethink who changes the oil for our families vehicles :(

These guys are the best! They helped me when I was in a pinch and were so helpful and nice! Will be coming back to them from now on for sure :) James is awesome!
