Honest and reliable mechanic! Will gladly give them all of our business. On more than one occasion they've billed us lower than the estimate because they managed to wrap the job up quicker than anticipated or found more affordable parts. They treat their customers with respect and are happy to explain the work in detail.

These guys are the absolute best, particularly if you have a Jeep Wrangler. Trust them with big or small jobs, and on more than one occasions they ve told me nothing needed replacing and didn t charge me a thing. 5 stars all the way!

Staff here was super helpful! Although it took awhile to wait for the appointment, it s completely worth it! We were not charged for anything because we didn t operate this function of the car correctly. We were also shown very patiently on how to operate it. We got a call soon after dropping off the car, and there s a bus stop right next to it so it s very convenient to commute to other places nearby. Overall super helpful! And will come back if we need to repair the car in the future!

Came in with a little bit of an emergency. They dropped what they were doing and removed a stuck lug nut on my truck with no appointment. Great, friendly, honest and genuine people here. Talented mechanics. The reviews and rating speak for themselves. If you need a trusted mechanic go here.

I brought my car here based on the reviews I ve read and because I was told that it needed $2,000+ in repairs after taking it in for a recall. As a woman, I was skeptical but I am also realistic and know my car is older. It has also lived in Michigan it s entire life. I was prepared to be told that my car did in fact need repairs of some kind, but I just wanted a second opinion before moving forward. Not only did they get me in relatively fast, they also looked at and called me well before the day was over. They informed me that my car was fine and no repairs were needed none. I was shocked. I am almost always on the hook for something unexpected.They explained what they did, showed me pictures, and reassured me that my car was good to go for my upcoming trip. Seriously. Don t hesitate to bring your car here. What a fantastic experience!

This is the only car mechanic I have ever liked. Their prices are fair and I have never had an instance where I go to get one thing fixed and something else ends up breaking or I am up sold on other non-essential purchases. When I've been strapped for cash and had multiple things wrong, they told me honestly about what things could be delayed versus what things were more of an immediate issue. Shout out to Tim and everyone working in the back!

The thing is, these guys are honest, direct and conscientious. Some service they provide could be bought cheaper somewhere else, but they will TELL you that before they do it. They are also very competent mechanics. I've been very happy with the service and communication from this shop. It might not be the cheapest option but I haven't been disappointed in the quality and it's in my neighborhood. Would recommend!

They were able to get our vehicle in quickly and made the necessary repairs within 24 hours. We had taken our vehicle to another shop and they were incorrect about both problems we had. I had to get my car towed because it freaked out on me, triple AAA suggested Convenience Auto but when the guy called he was not very nice, and said it would take over a week to even look at my car. I looked at reviews and had the car towed to Steve's. When I called he asked me what happened and when I explained, he told me that they were even more backed up. But he told me he would take a quick look at it and at least let me know if he thought it was serious. He called later and said it didn't look good, and I said okay I'd wait for them to be able to run diagnostic. Four days later Tim calls and tells me that they tried a few things, reconnected my battery and reset the alerts that had gone berserk, and the car was fine! Didn't overcharge me, was so nice and helpful, even if it had been a bigger problem I felt like I could trust their opinion and advice. I would definitely recommend them - your problem may not be as simple as mine was, but whatever it is, they will try to figure it out and be fair - being nice, especially in a stressful situation, makes all the difference!Service: Electrical repair

Excellent mechanic. I have an older car, and I can always depend on the folks at Steve Steeb to give me honest estimates and talk me through what is worth fixing and what is not, given the overall value of my car. I trust them because they do thorough work and never try to convince me to pay for services I don't need. I recommend them to all my friends in the area.

The best auto service anywhere. Steve and his crew are honest to a fault, thorough, helpful, and will never sell you a repair you don t need. They treat everyone who walks through their doors with respect and dignity, and they ll probably teach you something about your car while you re there. Note: we ve had everything from our new cars to my classic car worked on by Steve. The more interesting the problem, the more excited his crew gets about the work.

Steve Steeb Service was recommended to me for installing a replacement hybrid battery in my 2008 Honda Civic. I'm very glad I followed up on the recommendation. The service was excellent and reasonably priced. The car is running beautifully (again) and I could not be more pleased. I also very much appreciated Steve going the extra mile to package up the old core and take it to UPS to return for my rebate. Outstanding service indeed.Michael Emlaw

Best car repair service in Ann Arbor. They checked out engine lights for free and only suggested reasonable repairs another time.Update: just had a bad light on our Honda and Steve fixed it immediately and at such a fair price. A few weeks ago the breaks on our 19 year old Honda failed. Hydraulic leak.Being new to the area, I had to find a trustworthy mechanic. I checked the reviews on this site and settled on Steve Steeb's, based on the large number of reviewers who rave about their services.A decision that I've since come to regret. I made an appointment and dropped the car off. When they called me back later that day, I was told that 3 of the brake lines were rusted out and had to be replaced, a service for which they quoted me $902.06. I was even offered a long-winded explanation why the repair was so expensive.To make a long story short, I took the car to Midas (the one on Washtenaw, which has a lot of bad reviews) and they did the repair for $428.33. That was a month ago and the car's been fine ever since. But here comes the kicker: When I picked the car up at Steeb, they presented me with a $72.27 bill for the estimate. I have driven this car for almost 20 years now, in both the north-east and in silicon valley. During this time I have interfaced with a numerous shops, some better than others, but not a single one has ever pulled a stunt on me like this and charged for an estimate. Now I do understand that there are cost involved, but at the very least they should have alerted me to the fact that they don't do free estimates, which they did not (Midas, by the way, clearly stated that estimates are generally free, but in cases where there is a charge they will first contact the customer for approval.). Besides, $70 to diagnose a "severely rosted brake line" seems a bit excessive, considering that Midas only charged $285 for labor to do the entire repair. This is either a case of price gouging or gross incompetence, and neither deserves a 5 star rating. In fact, of all the services that I have used in the past 20 years, my recent experience with Steve Steeb was by far the worst.

I have nothing but good things to say about Steve, Patrick, and the rest of the Steve Steeb staff. Most recently, the place where I (used to) get my tires told me I needed extensive front suspension repairs. When I took it to Steve Steeb for a second opinion, they found that the previous shop had lied about the need for repairs and everything was fine up front. Their cost to check out the car was very reasonable. This is the only place in town that I completely trust to look out for me and my Ford Focus.

We have been bring both of vehicles here for several years. They are both older vehicles that we are trying to keep as long as possible. Steve and his staff are not only honest, but knowledgeable to the extent that they made the dealership service people look very bad. They never do more than needs to be done. A couple of times because our vehicles are older we had problems that might be considered unusual, Steve his staff always have the answer and solutions that aren t going to break the bank. We are so absolute in our convidence of Steve and his staff that we travel over 50 miles one way to have our vehicles serviced !!!

I took my vehicle in for a diagnostic, and the team was very clear on price and next steps. There were no surprise fees, and I did not get the feeling that anyone was trying to "up sell" anything. I appreciated not feeling like I was being pushed to pay for something I did not need. I will definitely look to Steve Steeb Service for future work.

Great service, friendly and honest. I appreciate being talked to with respect as not being treated as a young woman who knows nothing about cars. I have a pinion seal leak and while they point it out every time, they say it won't really be an issue for several months to a year, which I prefer to being scared into an expensive fix. Honest guys who really take the time to make sure you know your options and to do the work well. Convenient location and very easy to schedule any work.

I have used Steve's shop for many years on a number of different vehicles and they have ALWAYS done a great job. Their work is excellent and they are very fair and honest. I have recommended a number of people to them and they have been quite happy. You will not regret going there!

I just picked up my car from Steve Steeb Service, and I was very happy with dealing with them. They clearly explain what needs to be done to your car. I do most of my own maintenance myself, but when I mess something up or can't handle it I will take it to them! I will recommend them to others as well!

I have an old car that wouldn't start very close to this auto shop. I was preparing to tow it, but thought I'd see if these guys could take a quick look at it for a last ditch effort to get it started. Fred went out of his way to walk down the street with me and help me get my starter working. Managed to get it started and didn't charge me anything. Couldn't be more grateful.

Can't argue with success. My durango has over 345000 miles on it. I have absolute confidence in Steve and Tim's assessments. They will tell you when a repair is optional, can be postponed or needs doing now. I always bring used cars being evaluated for purchase for their review. Saved me from purchasing expensive headaches.

I contacted Steve to check out a car at a dealer near him that I was interested in purchasing. He went and checked it out, gave me a full report, including 2 thumbs up on purchasing the car. My son is not the proud owner of a new car based on Steve's analysis! Prompt, Thorough and easy to work with!

Steve and his crew care about you and your car. The shop is spotless, the service is great. and your car will thank you for taking it to Steve. His 100 point service is worth every penny. Great to have a great neighbor like Steve.
