Mr. Tunes is the place to go! My old school Riviera needed the alarm serviced. It was installed about 20 years ago and it wasn t receiving a signal. Phil took care of me right away. Got me right in and found the problem and fixed it quickly at the most affordable price. Support local businesses. Mr. Tunes will take care of you for your alarm and sound systems and more!

Best place to get anything car or truck accessories related. Long time employees know their stuff.UPDATED 9-18-23..Had an Alpine system installed in my 2015 silverado. They hooked me up.. sounds amazing and looks even better. The f511 halo head unit is worth every penny. thank you phil and crew for the install. Couldn't be happier....What up craig?! Lol

The people here really seem to know their stuff. I picked up a radio for my truck and had them install it with the maestro connectors. They fit the USB cable in where I asked replacing one of the cigarette lighter ports in the truck. They also soldered the connectors into the OBD2 so I could monitor my truck from the radio. I'll also be heading here to pick up a tonneau cover as they carry 4 brands of tonneau here as well.Would recommend to anyone looking to get their stereo installed, way more knowledgeable and capable than best buy!

It s now been two months since my install so I have had enough time to evaluate my system and provide an honest review.In the mid-90s through the early 2000 s I had several custom systems installed in my vehicles by a different company, however, when I wanted to revisit my younger years and have a custom system installed in my current vehicle, the business that did all my previous installs no longer builds custom enclosures. In addition, when they specked out a system on paper, they did not include a DSP or address tuning the system at all; therefore, I started my search for a reputable and competent car stereo shop that would install the type of system that would meet my high expectations.In the end, I found Mr. Tunes of Ann Arbor and they not only met but exceeded my expectations when it came to a custom install! They offered a great product line and demonstrated outstanding customer service! I was kept informed and allowed to share in the excitement of my custom install by receiving pictures of the progress throughout the entire process.I have had many high-end systems installed over the years and I highly recommend Mr. Tunes due to their knowledge, fabrication of the custom enclosure and high level of customer service!

They are definitely pros in what they do. No dash kits were readily available for my vehicle so I needed a custom fabrication instead. Fairly priced and above all, the install turned out way better than whatever I had expected!

Very nice place. I would say they lean more towards higher end equipment. I've had a head unit and Amp installed. They also, rewired part of my existing system not yet replaced.

Great customer service!Had new speakers installed in my 2009 Toyota Prius to replace the stock speakers that had died, as well as a new radio and a remote starter.A couple days later I noticed the speakers would get quiet as I drove, and my remote start would intermittently flicker the lights on my dash. Mr. Tunes was very diligent in trying to diagnose the issues.Eventually the remote start on my car informed me the battery was low and a visit to O'Reilley Auto confirmed my regular battery was bad (not surprising considering its age; and it was still reading as okay when they tested it for the equipment install). I had the battery replaced only to continue to have a low battery read on my remote start. I bought the car into Mr. Tunes and they did a full diagnostic of the car to discover the auto shop that installed the new battery did not charge it and it was on 38%.The guys at Mr. Tunes let me camp out in their waiting room, watching TV and working on my laptop until they had the battery fully charged. The uncharged battery was no doing on their own, yet they charged it up for me at no cost. These guys care about customer satisfaction and it shows. Charging the new battery has fixed all the issues, and I'm happy with my car and the new equipment!

I talked to Phil, I wanted them to install LED headlamps, taillights and side marker lights (tied to my turn signal) on my Honda Civic. I told them I had a budget for 4 hours based on the price per hour that they were charging. He wasn t sure that he could get it all done in that amount of time in which case I told him that the most important parts were the headlamps and side marker lights. They called me letting me know that everything would be done in 4.5 hours and would only charge me for 4 hours! They did a great job with the installation. I would recommend them for sure.

I bought a brand new Subaru Forester from a dealer in AZ, but they installed an aftermarket car alarm. I never activated the alarm, but it was giving me issues, so I wanted to take it out. No mechanic was willing to touch it around Ann Arbor, but Mr. Tunes said they would take a look. Showed up at my appointment time, and within the specified time, they removed the alarm and that fixed all my problems. They were friendly, and they repaired all the wires like new. I was very happy with the service and quality of work completed. When I upgrade my speakers, I will definitely come back.

great experience! i usually go to the shops near my house for car accessories, but the shops i called didnt seem to know about the remote install for my '10 RL. ( no info on internet search for RL remote start install) but i called mr tunes and they seemed knowleable concerning my specific vehicle( other shops just said bring it in, and we'll take a look at it), so i was sold even though they were 45 minutes away from me. great service, and happy with remote start install. i also brought my truck in to have led headlight conversion installed. Great A++++

Knowledgeable and although pricy, it's done correctly the FIRST time around. You get the service and quality you pay for and that is what's paramount. 4 or 5 cars in and this is the only place I utilize for aftermarket installs! Phil and his team are great, your vehicle is in great hands.

I just picked up my car, the incredible folks at Mr. Tunes installed a touch screen radio and it is FANTASTIC. This is at least the fourth car I've brought to these guys and they always (and I mean ALWAYS) have provided excellent service. These guys are so incredibly knowledgeable about cars, their products and how to integrate them together. I've installed radios, aux inputs, and my personal favorite. . . remote start. This is the third car I've done that with, it is worth every penny. If you've been wondering where to go (because we are ALL sick of Best Buy), Mr. Tunes in Ann Arbor is the place. Don't think twice, just do it. They guarantee their work but I have never had a reason to bring anything back. Go for it.

Recently had Eurostart Remote start installed on my BMW. Phil and the Team at Mr. Tunes Ann Arbor took care of me with exceptional turn around time, great customer service and answered any and all questions. I would absolutely recommend them for any remote start services

Great service! I am not disappointed with these guys. I came in to have my speakers replaced, as they busted and I ended up needing a bigger speaker system than they thought but, they still charged me for the previous quote. I highly recommend coming to Mr.Tunes for good quality sound and customer service.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Our family has used Mr Tunes for probably 20 years- multiple cars have been taken there. Every time we have had a good experience. Phil is super helpful and the work is done right! No high pressure sales. Just helpful and informative ! Business done right. Thanks, Phil!

I have been a customer of Mr tunes for 14 years now. The one thing I have learned is to buy from an authorized dealer and have it professionally installed, that is the only way you will have a warranty that is valid!I have had a 2 boats, and 4 cars all equipped from Mr. Tunes. Outstanding service above and beyond, st a fair price. Support local and buy local it will pay off if you ever have an issue.

The guy attending was very rude because I showed up late to the appointment. I asked him if they could still put the alarm. His answer was that he was going to take several hours to put the alarm and couldn't get the work finished the same day.This was an alarm that I had installed previously (here as well) just in another car and it just took like an hour. Plus they were saying that because " the several hours" to install this system, the labor was going to be around $400. With all due respect this is a joke. When I bought this alarm it cost me $1000 (including installation). It's hard to believe that they are trying to charge me 400 just for reinstall the same system but in a different car. Very disappointed experience12/14: Regarding your reply:1) I arrive late, as I explained before. And you said that you need me to leave the car the whole weekend if I wanted the alarm installed. After you explained why it would take so long I told you that I just wanted the ON-OFF switch installed if that would take less time.Again, last time you put the ON-OFF switch, tilt sensors, shock sensors and battery in 1hour.2) you didn't have to remove anything from a car. I showed up with the alarm already uninstalled. Again, my final request was to put the ON-OFF switch which to me, the $400 that you were asking for seemed unreasonable. You can argue that previously installation was included, but $400 just to install an ON-OFF switch? and that would take you 6 hours? Your answer was that it was going to take you many hours because the alarm was already wired and you have to re-cut wires. The car I wanted to get the alarm installed was an smaller car compared to the one I brought before. You can argue that it doesn't matter, but the fact that you were just bringing more arguments to say it was going to take you long hours without even checking my request makes me think you didn't want to do anything at all. I keep my opinion, and next time, please post all the story not only the information that is convenient for you.

Phil got me in to install a car receiver I got for a gift. I brought my car in and it was done!! Great customer service and great expertise! If you need audio Mr. Tunes is that spot!!!

I cannot recommend Mr. Tunes enough! I researched every audio store from Lansing to Detroit. Mr. Tunes was by far the best out of all of them. Phil and his team did an amazing job on my car. I could not be more satisfied. They have an outstanding level of professionalism coupled with their friendly service that is unmatched in the industry. I will always take my car back to Mr. Tunes for any of my audio needs!

Installed a new Kenwood Radio in my Jeep Patriot because I wanted CarPlay so bad. The manager was super nice and the work they did was fast and done right! Highly Recommend! Best price and by far best customer satisfaction!

Gentlemen was polite and no issue with customer interaction. High estimate was given, just in case. 50% requested to schedule appointment. Told gentleman didnt have my credit card on me. Shared with him I had preference of using credit card in case of disputes and general security of my checking. Traveling and being in military, contractor, and government, it's been helpful. I've had my identity stolen more then once and credit cards give extra coverage and/or protection.Guy kinda was frantic, said felt insecure that I mentioned that. Refused to do any service.Told him my reasoning. Seemed a little frantic and bewildered. I left. That's the summary.

I had a pretty awful experience with Mr. Tunes and wanted to let people know to just be careful with these guys. I ordered an auto-dimming rear view mirror that I thought I wanted installed on my car. After it came in I decided that I did not want to have it installed and I was stuck with the mirror. They would not take it back as a return even though it was brand new and never opened.I held onto it for about a year and through my wife could have it installed on her new car. Unfortunately, it wasn't the right mirror and we would have needed to buy another part to make it work. She was told that since it was more than 30 days since it was purchased, that it couldn't be returned. In fact, they never accepted the return, even in the first 30 seconds after purchase, let alone first 30 days.It's sad to see local stores losing out to the Amazon's of the world and now I know why. I wanted to give my business to a local owner and now I know that I should have just purchased through Amazon in the first place. Guess I learned an expensive lesson and I hope you learn one for much cheaper.

Update: They replied to this review ONE YEAR LATER. They simply do not care...I wanted to have them test my car audio system and simply asked what they would do in detail about the test. They became super triggered and asked me out. I politely asked them why and guess what? They were afraid that I would be able to do it myself at home! How simple and unconvincing would their test be if I'm able to do it at home after knowing what they will do? In this logic, car washes shouldn't post what they spray on your car, and food shouldn't list it's ingredients because what if you do it at home, huh? I guess they indeed don't do high-level jobs given that they messed up somebody's $2500 system. Check out Jon's review one week ago.

Both Phil and Matt did an awesome job setting up my van with a new system. The previous speaker and amp wiring had been done incorrectly and they took the time to clearly spell out how to do it right and it made all the difference. Highly recommend working with these guys!!!
