I ve had great experiences with Lakewood Auto! The check engine light came on in my 2017 Malibu. They were able to get me into the shop really quickly. They did thorough research to try to figure out what was going on (my car can be a bit of a mystery) and were able to get it worked out at a really decent price!

Lakewood is the best car mechanic shop in A2 hands down! My car had been having lots of issues and I decided to take my car in here for a repair. Don was very friendly and Jake (the mechanic who worked on my car) did a terrific job working on this car. It s like brand new now haha

I had an amazing experience with Lakewood Auto. Don and his team were very prompt and professional. Communication was great and the price was very reasonable. My car runs like new thanks to the team. I would highly recommend Lakewood Auto to anyone in need of car repair or maintenance.

I've been here several times over the last 3yrs, and if I wasn't moving I'd keep going back. They check out what's going on, show the parts and explain the problem, and do excellent work at understandable prices. The owner and the guys in the garage are all nice and fun to talk to. Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood garage.

I was in Ann Arbor doing a job and my work truck had an issue. I got it towed to Lakewood because they were highly recommended. That is an understatement...they knew I was in a jamb needing my truck to finish getting the materials and equipment to complete this job and quickly ordered the parts and completed the repair for me first thing the next morning!!! On top of that they could have charged me an arm and a leg but they didn't...a matter of fact it was less than what I thought it would cost!? Thank you so very much and it goes to show there are good people out there to be trusted! I also highly recommend them!

Lakewood Auto is now owned by Don. I honestly went there thinking it was the same shop I had always been to the last time that my vehicle needed some repairs. While at first there was confusion, my concerns were put to rest shortly after speaking with the new owner. He was willing to listen to my concerns & he & his team got to work at putting my mind at ease right away. When I came back to pick up my vehicle one of the mechanics came out with all of my broken parts & explained fully the repair so that I could understand. I am grateful for their attention to detail & attitude. I feel good about taking my vehicle there for any needed repairs in the future.

We were in town visiting family and of course the day we try to leave our vehicle breaks down. Family recommendation had us call Lakewood. Don said he could diagnose and get us back on the road as soon as possible. After a quick AAA tow and less than 24 hours we were heading back to MT. Highly recommend these guys! Great service all around!

Previously known as Jamie's Lakewood Auto Service, and now owned by Pete. My mom had been taking her van to Jamie for years and was quite pleased with his services. During my recent visit here in Ann Arbor and while using my mom's van I encountered some engine trouble. Unfortunate timing as I really needed a vehicle the next day by 1:30pm. With Jamie no longer in the business we decided to give the new guy a chance. After a quick call to Pete, we were soon at his shop with her van. We expressed our concern about getting the job done quickly and he promptly diagnosed it and called us back with a quote. He said he could order the part for UPS delivery and hoped to get it in the earlier part of the next day. I made a reservation with a car rental company just in case. The following morning he called and said that he still had not received the replacement part, but as soon as it arrived it would only take him about an hour to install. He kept in touch with us and when the part arrived he let us know and sure enough we were able to pick up the van in time and cancel out the car rental reservation. He seemed to be a very knowledgable mechanic and the van is now running just fine. We were very grateful for all his efforts in expediting the repair and also keeping in touch with us on the timing as it all happened. I may mention also that the girl at the front counter was very pleasant. Our first experience with Pete and his new company was a good one.

This is my second time at this garage and both times they have treated me very well. Honest good people who want to help you get on the road again and understand if you re more interested in being safe than having your car look good. They ve never tried to oversell and were quick with the repairs. I recommend them to all my friends!

I've been taking my family's vehicles to Jamie for years. He is one of the best mechanics I've come across. His rates are very reasonable and he always does a great job. I've never had an issue. Customer service is good and they always stand by their work. Highly recommended for both domestic and overseas cars/trucks.

They went above and beyond for me! After having a horrible experience at another shop which led to part why I needed these repairs they made sure I got back out on the road and told me to come back if anything acted up! I had something unrelated to the repairs go wrong the next week and they took care of it for free for me! I felt very heard and welcomed which isn't something I can say about any of other experiences I've had when it comes to getting car repairs! I can't recommend them enough! I will be back even if it's just for an oil change!

AC wasn t working. The did a systematic troubleshooting and communicated all along the way. It ended up being the compressor, so not cheap to fix but the air is icy cold now!

I use my car all day long for my job. To be without a car means I don t get paid . I live in Flint Michigan but I drive all the way to Ann Arbor so that I can take my car to Lakewood auto because I know one thing comes with this trip and that s trust . It s sad to say but sometimes you can t trust mechanics and it s very hard to find one that s going to do a good job and not force you to repair things that you don t need or mess other things up so that you have to keep coming back . This is the reason that I go to Lakewood auto because they re so trustworthy . Its bad enough that you have to go into your pocket and come up with money for car repairs but at least when you go to Lakewood you know it s getting done correctly and your money isn t going down the drain. Everybody I came in contact with ,even Mariah at the desk, were very professional very friendly and very knowledgeable . I am very satisfied with the work that was done on my car.

As a single woman looking for car care issues, you can get schiestered a lot. But that will never happen to you at Lakewood Auto. I trust these guys, they have given me quotes for 1/2 the price of other centers and then they honor their word when I arrive. I always get in in a timely manner and their employees are professional and courteous! I am a LIFE LONG CUSTOMER!

Pete's Lakewood Auto is amazing. He has gone the extra mile for me on several occasions. The service is exceptional and he treats you like you are family. Every time I walk through the door I always get a smile. My car is always fixed quickly. Petes Lakewood Auto is a one of a kind shop that is constantly amazing and does amazing work.

These excellent people fixed my exhaust manifold for less than half the price quoted by a dealership not too far away that rhymes with guburban crev row hey. They also did it the same day I brought it in.I've had my car for 6 years, and after taking it here it has never driven better. I feel joy every time I hit the accelerator. It's remarkable.Good job, everyone. Great work. Hell yeah.

I've taken my cars and trucks to Jamie's for a couple years now. I know a lot of people in the automotive repair world and when the other mechanics can't handle the job or are too lazy to do what's needed they send their business to Jamie and crew who gets the job done. I'd rather start here than with some shop that's gonna break something then send me here to get it fixed anyway.Jamie and the team are a great bunch and have a reputation both with me and everyone else I've talked to as honest and fair. Their work has always been outstanding and their prices reasonable. I'll gladly continue taking my vehicles here and never hesitate to recommend them to absolutely everyone I know... except maybe the people I don't like.

It was a fuel pump that it needed. My car died on stadium in AA2. I had it towed to his shop. He took the car and worked it into his schedule. He had lost electricity and waited for me to come instead of shutting down. He got the job done well. Thank you sir!

This is the only place we will take our cars. They are always honest with you, and are always helpful! The people here have always been truthful about when something didn't need to be done to the car (while any other shop would have done it and over charged). They answer all questions in an understandable way and are so nice about it!! Seriously the best car place I have ever gone.

Had a weird problem with my starter it would start off and on, they took the time to drive it around and figure out the problem. Don kept me up on what they were doing. Gave us the best price in a starter replacement. Would highly recommend Lakewood Auto Service!

Pete is a great mechanic. It is a great feeling to go to Pete's Lakewood Auto Service and know that you are not being taken advantage of. Pete is a very trustworthy mechanic, who goes above and beyond for his customers. Great company, Great staff, Great work

Went as planned. My car was low on oil (hadnt changed it in about 10 months as miles driven during COVID was low). I was informed of this and they decided to put a dye in the oil so I will notice if I have a leak in my car.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

BEST AUTO MECHANIC AROUND!!! I would not trust my cars to anyone else! Friendly, fast, efficient and doesn't bully you into unnecessary "fixes". Make sure to ask for Robert, he is literally the best mechanic ever!

Great service! They alway explain in detail what needs to be done and what caused the issue. Very happy with service and price. I won't take my truck anywhere else.
