NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE! ZERO STAR ZERO STAR ZERO STAR! Worst experience ever. READING THIS FOR TWO MINUTES will save you from a horrendous experience. Took our vehicle in after a crash versus a deer. The vehicle was inspected only for cosmetics. No pictures of the engine or mechanical inspections were conducted upon the first inspection. The vehicle overheated weeks later and we noticed there had been a slow coolant leak that caused the vehicle to now be empty in coolant. The shop was notified that our vehicle overheated and had a coolant leak. Collision shop stated that they did not check for those issues during the first inspection. Collision shop advised that when we take it in for repairs, they ll take the vehicle apart and look for additional issues. Took the vehicle in and the collision shop stated they found 3 issues that they did not find during the original inspection. They stated they will take care of two of the three, but not the third one which of course was the most expensive. They proceeded to make the cosmetic repairs and charged us the deductible and then and ONLY THEN was a mechanical scan conducted where they said the mechanics were faulty and had to be taken elsewhere for additional repairs. This shop took our money and then decided to do what was asked in checking for mechanical issues in order to tell us to take it elsewhere for further. THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER, DONT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! This is the absolute worst experience ever and we were completely taken advantage of.Overall, the collision shop failed to take pictures of the possible mechanical issues, FAILED to conduct a mechanical scan upon the first inspection, and proceeded to ADMIT they missed two issues and didn t take credit for the third. Worst experience ever. The frustration is indescribable. I have been VERY vocal about this horrible experience with dozens of people already in order to avoid anyone else being scammed and taken advantage of. I will continue to voice my experience in an attempt that no one ever visits this place again.

I brought my car here because it was a preferred location for my insurance. They were quick to get my car checked over and gave me a date and time to bring it in for repair. From there they even scheduled my rental car with Enterprise. I brought it back at the scheduled time and was out the door quickly again with a two week flexible time frame that would become more concrete as they started to pull the car apart and order replacement parts. I got my car back a week earlier than scheduled. They settled the rental car drop off AND my car looks fantastic. Everyone at the location was nice and polite. From the lady at the front desk, to the guy who handed me back my keys. Given the circumstances, it was a very pleasant experience. I hope I don t need them again though!

Great people and great service but the turnaround time is a bit too long. Most insurance rental car coverage lasts for 30 days and the car was in there way longer than that. My car went in on December 1st and I just picked it up on January 16th. Luckily the management there gave me a week of rental car coverage which is something they didn't have to do since they understood my situation. Tammie is great and so is Amanda. They also did a great job on my car. I'd say the biggest issue is after I picked up my car I found evidence of a mice problem. I had a new pack of gum I mistakenly left in there and it seems like at some point mice got in my car and pooped in my compartments and ate my gum. Not a great feeling knowing there were mice in my vehicle. They did clean it out well though so I doubt I have any left lingering around inside but still jarring nonetheless.Services: Tires, Painting, Auto glass repair, Electrical, Body & Trim

Repair was completed promptly and professionally on time AND the first time (no return visit necessary). Price was as estimated and less than my insurance deductible (no claim needed). Gerber Collision rocks! TYVM

This was the first time i had to do any repairs to my car, i was so anxious dealing with the insurance and insurance claims and felt overwhelmed. Gerber made this whole process a breeze, they directly handled the insurance company, even offered to set up the rental car reservation with enterprise, it only took a week to fix my front bumper and they updated me throughout the whole process. Everything looks great, they did a high quality job! They did such a great job, but i hope i never have to return again!

After the first meeting, clearly meant to lure customers in, this was the WORST experience. They indicated the repair would take between 0 and infinity days, and cost between zero and infinity dollars. But they worked with our insurance company, so we let them. When we got the car back, after they switched out the hatch, there was a crack on the plastic. We were told "we switched out that piece from the old hatch, so we aren't responsible for the crack." This after they charged my insurance company nearly 4K for a new hatch. Avoid this place at all costs. I would give them 0 stars if it were an option.

Mitch at Gerber Collision went out of his way to help me today. I was in need of an estimate ASAP since I planned to turn my car in within a few days. Gerber is doing estimates by appointment. They have a two week wait as do other shops in the area. But Mitch, who was on his lunch hour, wrote up an estimate for me. He made me comfortable, offering refreshments while I waited. I would definitely recommend their service.

Just had my wife's Escape repair here. Turned out great! Especially the paint job in particular, I can definitely tell the time was taking to prep the new panels properly.

Communication was like pulling teeth. Every step of the way I had to call them to find out what the status was. Check other reviews, most honest reviews will list communication as a huge problem. The damage assessor, Amanda, was very confrontational about one repair. She was very adamant that my insurance was not going to cover it and yet my insurance did cover it.If you come here, be ready for a long wait and a shop that makes you feel they don't need nor want your business. Good luck!Service: Body & Trim

Repairs were mediocre. Fixed the things that it was brought in for. Had 2 service floor mats but contents of my center console were left spread on my passenger seat with items missing.

My repair was excellently handled from the first phone call. The staff was incredibly professional and thorough throughout the entire repair process, and worked to get my vehicle back to me quickly. They also handled everything with my insurance company and rental car, making it super easy for me to have the repair work with my schedule. Brian in particular made sure I understood everything with the estimate and repair work, and was super friendly during the whole process. The reception staff was excellent and always on top of things as well. I would definitely recommend Gerber to friends and family. Thank you!

Gerber is fantastic! I was rear-ended and took my car to Geber because it is the shop my insurance company uses. They completed my car four days ahead of schedule and kept me updated regularly. They and my insurance company worked out all the payments, so I did not have to worry about that at all. All the repairs look as good as new.I did get my car back with the low-tire pressure light on (it wasn't on when I dropped it off), but I was planning on taking my car to my dealership two days later, so I didn't go back in to tell them about the problem at the time because I had to go to work. I did call them to let them know about the problem as soon as I got to work. I had to take my car to the dealership because I get diagnostic emails each month, and my email that month said my airbags might need to be checked (but the airbag light was not on). My dealership did find something wrong with my airbags because of the collision and I expected to have pay for the airbag repairs and to send over documentation to my insurance company to be reimbursed. My dealership also found something stuck in the tire and told me it needed to be replaced and couldn't be repaired due to the area of the tire the damage was in. I called Gerber and spoke with the manager, Will, and explained that I got my car back with the low tire pressure light on and that the tire needed to be replaced. Will called my dealership and paid for my tire AND my airbag repairs, which was unexpected. Although it was not ideal to get my car back with low tire pressure, Will was understanding and I was very surprised at the level of customer service I received (I expected Gerber to do nothing, because I hadn't gone back into the shop when I picked my car up to show them the low tire pressure). Overall, I am very happy with Gerber s level of customer service, they went above and beyond what I expected, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Where to begin? My wife was in an accident on Nov 27th and we had the vehicle towed to Gerber for (right) front end work and a cracked windshield (about 1in.) They didn t even look at the vehicle until Dec 10th. We had Alex Loveless assigned to our vehicle who just blatantly lied multiple times throughout the process, was never right on his timelines, and obviously doesn t like returning phone calls. We were supposed to get the vehicle back Jan 3rd, but somebody at the shop ran over and destroyed our key fob resulting in an extra week of service (how a key fob takes a week to replace is beyond me) Let s fast forward to today Jan 13th, we finally pick up our vehicle only to find that the 1in crack in the windshield wasn t even addressed and it has stretched to 10+ inches now directly in the drivers line of sight! After calling the infamous Alex AGAIN, he stated that my wife signed off on the windshield being a prior issue unrelated to the crash. Funny thing is, we sent pictures of the windshield to Allstate the day of the accident, and we had the vehicle towed to Gerber so nobody was present during Alex s inspection and thus couldn t have signed anything. Currently waiting for our copy of Alex s inspection with my wife s signature which I m sure we will never see. Alex also told us that we would have to pay 30% of the cost for the new tire which would only be around $30 yeah try $100, only pleasant experience was the women at the front desk who cut the price of the tire. After running over my key fob, taking a month and a half to fix my vehicle, watching the crack they were supposed to fix expand over 10inches while they had the vehicle, you d think they d feel slightly at fault and apologetic but nope! Terrible company, terrible employees, if you do go here stay far away from con man Alex Loveless.Services: Painting, Auto glass repair, Body & Trim

My car was backed into another car while it was at the oil change shop so I was told they would send it to Gerber to get it fixed. I am extremely pleased with the body shops customer service from start to finish. Alex was our guy and he was very detailed in explaining what would be done. A third party insurance was taking care of my bill but Gerber called enterprise for me and brought the rental right to their shop, even turned on cartoons for my kids while we waited. The body work was done when they said it would be and they gave me plenty of updates along the way. I was also able to drop off the rental right at Gerber again when I picked my car up. I hope to not see them again (assuming my car isn t wrecked!) but if my car needs damage repair, Gerber will be my first call!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Left EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this location. After they replaced my driver side front door, I noticed my door panel was not clipped on properly. Called them and drove back for them to fix it. Not a big deal. However, a day or two later I also noticed that my window channel was not aligned properly (in comparison to the passenger side) which was not like that before I got my door replaced; thereby, resulting in me hearing passing wind every time I drove due to the gap. Drove back in, and Alex told me it was probably because the rubber shrunk after they took it out when they replaced my door shell. I showed him how the alignment was different compared to the other side, but was still told the same thing: your car is 10 years old, the rubber probably shrunk. What's worse is that he commented I was already hearing passing wind before I got my car door fixed. Yes, I was, which was why I even came there to get my car door replaced, which YOU said would fix it. By the way, that was due to the crooked door hinges, as YOU said before, NOT the window channel. Told me that my only option was to purchase a new window channel to have it installed, though it was not guaranteed it would fix the issue. So, I went to the VW of Ann Arbor for a window channel installation, and they told me that I needed to go to a body shop because the door does not sit/align properly. They showed me how the window channel is not aligned, which was the exact same thing I told Alex. They also said that it's not possible for my window channel to have shrunken after they took it off. I wasted my time, gas, and money going back and forth. Now I have to go back to another body shop to fix an issue that arose BECAUSE I went to this Gerber to get my door replaced. My guess is that they probably ordered the wrong door trim and did not want to fix their expensive mistake.

Let's face it, when your car is in an accident, you are already stressed. The Gerber Collission team took my call, got me an appointment, got me a rental car and fixed my car! What a well run location with professional staff - customer service actually exists here! I've taken my vehicles to this location on more than one occasion and each time, professionalism and customer service are stellar!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Got in a car accident about 2 years ago. My poor Genesis had its driver side door crushed in.Not only did they restore everything like new, while they had my car, they touched up other areas of the vehicle. You know, little scratches and things that happen to the paint job over time that are simply unavoidable.I asked them to change the decal on the rear of my vehicle from the Hyundai "H" to the Wayne to Genesis logo, since mine is a 2015, and they didn't start putting a winged logos on this model front wheel 2016. Gerber slapped me on there for me no problem.I don't recommend getting into a car accident, but if you have a late model baby like I do and she's injured, I recommend taking your vehicle to Gerber, even if they're an hour away!

Brian/ Bryan, Tammy and the Gerber team did an excellent job making me feel at home. As soon as I walked in I felt as if I was at a relative's house. Staff here is very friendly and outgoing, more importantly they made sure my vehicle was done on time and updated me often. I would most definitely recommend to anyone and everyone that needs work done on their vehicle. Above excellent! Thank you, Gerber team!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I really don't understand why Gerber's have poor ratings. They were great with me when they fixed my car door back in November when someone slammed their door into mine. I took my car back last Friday for an estimate when another collision center did not give me good service. Gerber's Collision made an appointment for me to be seen an hour and a half later after my phone call.I'm now taking my car in to get three claims fixed this Friday and I'm so glad I stuck with my gut and decided to go back here. They treat you with kindness and respect. The people look happy to work there and they are so friendly. Right now Billy is working with me and he's fantastic as well as the rest of them.

BEWARE(apologies for the long review but I feel it's important to be detailed, feel free to skip to the end for the summary)I brought in my vehicle from a collision someone else was responsible for. It was a large dent with some paint damage and they wanted $600 for something that probably only needed to be knocked out and detailed. Unfortunately, before I got it fixed I had another accident (I was at fault, I backed into a concrete post) where there was more significant damage to the opposite side of the bumper, tail light, and some of the paneling. They told me that they couldn't give me an estimate until they looked at the structural damage underneath the surface. After taking it in and looking further, they now had claimed it would cost about $2,500 to fix everything, and that they couldn't fix one side (the side I was not at fault for) without fixing the other because they insisted they probably wouldn't be able to put the bumper back on again after taking it off due to the damages.Unable to afford the more significant repair cost, I told them I could no longer have them do the repairs and then so they then informed me of a charge for $110 (including a $10 off "courtesy" ...) to put the old bumper back on. For convenience, I asked if they could also just replace my tail light while they had the car and they told me the panel was too impacted to replace the light so they wouldn't do it without the comprehensive repairs. Well...I just got my routine oil change and not only were they able to EASILY replace my lightbulb, but they also found a screwdriver underneath the hood of the car. While I cannot say definitively that the screwdriver belonged to the repair shop, they are the only ones I have known to have worked on my car since there was no screwdriver under the hood. If the screwdriver did belong to the repair shop, I am not sure what they could have been doing in there while having my car and after refusing to complete the service...this is just a warning!I never initially insisted on writing this review but after being led to believe the light was not replaceable and a screwdriver randomly finding itself under my hood, I thought it might be worth mentioning for others to be aware of.Short version: I paid $110 to get my car back in the exact same condition it was in (to my knowledge), and it's possible they MIGHT have left a screwdriver under my hood for a repair that required only work in the rear of the vehicle.

Unbelievable! This place is only at 4.1 for ratings? Should be a 5! Service was amazing from start to finish. Professional and polite workers. The job was done in a timely manner and looks perfect. An added bonus they cleaned the interior of my truck and the exterior. I'm still blown away. I had my Tesla repaired here. Someone hit my car door with their care door and left a decent dent. They fixed the dent and painted the three panels nearest to the dent (both doors and the front quarter panel) so the red paint all blended well. They got the job done in two days and everyone was very professional. I'll use them again if I need to.

The Gerber staff and technicians have performed several services for me over time, from simple paint buffing to major collision repair, and including the special service of installing a hitch. The crew at the Industrial Blvd. and Jackson Road locations have consistently done a great job. The work has always been of the highest quality and at very fair prices. Everyone in the process, including the estimator and service manager Danny Vogel, Jessica at front desk, Eric the shuttle driver, the manager (sorry, I didn t catch his name) and all of the technicians at this Gerber location were great to deal with.During my most recent visit for the hitch installation I had a freak problem with a jammed seat belt that occurred when picking up the car. This was my fault and not the result of any work performed by Gerber. The manager and technicians solved the problem and refused to charge me for this critical repair. This is the most recent in a series of great customer service experiences I have had with the Gerber organization.

When I initially called Gerber Collision about my mirror, they told me to come in for an estimate. My friend who works for my car company was able to get me another mirror so I just needed to pay for the labor. Upon coming into Gerber Collisions, not only did they squeeze my car in despite being full of appointments, they REFUSED to charge me! I even asked if they took tips and the general manager just told me to repay them in donuts! I can t say how much I appreciate such kind and friendly service! This company clearly doesn t try to rob their customers, I ve gotten a very reasonable estimate from them before (like three hundred dollars less than what my dealership estimated) and I d recommend them before any dealership!Thank you, Gerber Collisions!

I took my car here, after being rear ended in a driveway. They told me the car would be done right away, as I explained to them, I leave out of town on the 8th. They told me not to be concerned, and they told me they would keep me updated. Well, I called them, and they proceeded to tell me they ordered the wrong part, so although the approval was in, they need a new one. They string me along telling me they are calling the insurance company every few minutes, and I will have my car by Wednesday. Then, they tell me Friday. Then, Friday comes, and I find out they lied to me. They never heard the insurance company tell them they would review it Friday, because the company was closed Friday!!! This means, you guessed it, I didn't get my car back. This left me having to turn in my rental on Saturday, as Sunday they are closed, which means we had to deal with only one car, two days before getting on a plane. My friend had to call in off of work, because he has to go can pick up my car! It wasn't until he told them either this is done today (as he called off work), or they deliver the car, that suddenly they got the approval done. The manager, had the audacity to tell me, "it doesn't matter if you leave your car, we won't charge you for holding it." Gee, how nice! So, here I am, fuming at my lay over, writing this review. I hope I never need a body shop again, but if I do, I guarantee it will not be this one. I should have known when I walked in the door, and they were trying to calm some man, who picked up his car, and they had put a miss matched part on his car. He was furious, but I figured, not my concern. I would not go to this place, they do not care about the inconveniences to you, and seem to act as if this is business as usual.
