On March 6, 2024 we took our car in to see about repairing the windshield wiper fluid hose which had been damaged by mice that had gotten into our garage. They looked at our car immediately, suggested a fix, performed it, and sent us on our way without charge, all in a matter of 15 minutes or less. The fix worked and we were so grateful. They couldn t have been nicer. Would recommend and would go back again.

Beware of this shop. Caught a flat nearby and couldn t take it off because the screws were stripped so I drove to the shop. They quoted me at almost $800 something about having to replace the rotor. They refused to simply remove the screws unless I got the rotor. So I had it towed to another shop that charged me $30 to take the tire off and saw nothing wrong with my rotor. This was a few months back. The experience really bothered me because I was already in a bad place and these guys thought they could get over on me

I had a great experience here! I wanted my "seasoned" car to be inspected before I attempted to drive it across the country, and I needed a tail light to be replaced. First, they were very flexible, helpful, and friendly with scheduling an appointment around my activities. When I brought the car in, they gave me a ride home .. I had given up hope that auto places did this anymore!! That was really nice because it was very hot that day, and it saved me a good chunk of time. They were done in just a few hours and gave me the option to pick up that evening or leave the car overnight. I arrived to pick up my car just minutes before closing, which didn't bother them in the least. They said everything looked fine and my car would make it across the country with no problem. Then, they informed me that I didn't owe them anything, because all they really had to do was replace my tail light bulb! I was really impressed with their old school focus on being helpful and having positive relationships with their customers. Definitely check them out if you're looking for an honest mechanic and a pleasant experience.

I was glad to get recommended to this shopThe shop manager, Joe, was extremely helpful and so nice and professional! My car was repaired, and everything seemed to be working. I was given a nice discount. They have a clean and comfortable waiting room, and the shop provides a free ride while your car is getting worked on, as well as picking you back up when your car is ready!

I love these men in this shop they areso sweet and so caring. I lost my car due to an accident on October 21st and the car i bought isn't any good and i loved the way he spoke to me and let me know he didn't talk down to me Joe was honest and i truly appreciate that. I also loved that they asked me if they could keep my number incase a car came in that they could sell to me, y'all this is my first time here and i just moved to ann arbor and this shop will be my shop once i get a car again lol but come and spend your money here i promise you you won't be disappointed

The service at Convenience Auto on Jewett Ave is great! They are able to deal with a wide range of issues. They are fast and professional. Joe & his supporting cast were friendly, efficient, & reasonably priced. He shared work that might be needed in the future (our car is 14 years old) but didn't try to compel me to do right away, unlike the dealership. My cost for the major repair was over $900 less expensive than the dealership wanted to charge. We have two older cars (Jeeps) & will definitely get our work done there in the future. Giving highest recommendation!

I've been taking my cars to Convenience Auto for several years now and each time they continue to impress me with their skill, efficiency, politeness and just general care for my vehicles. They always go out of their way to help no matter how unique the issue or the vehicle may be. And believe me, I've given them a variety of vehicles to work on over the years: 1965 Pontiac Bonneville, 1991 Ford Mustang GT, 2002 Supercharged Saleen Mustang, 2008 Buick Lucerne. They make vehicle maintenance very easy and Convenient, hence their name. Absolute 5 star rating for these guys! Joe and his team are so friendly and so helpful I thought I was on a different planet!We had a tire catch a flat before we were supposed to go away for the long weekend.The team was able to accommodate and do a patch that prevented us from losing a day of vacationCannot say enough nice things about the way we were treated, had steps explained too and they even topped up our wiper fluid because they noticed it was lowTruly can't say enough nice things

I used to use Convenience Auto Service for my wife's 2012 Subaru Forester for several years but I no longer recommend them. I had them do some expensive suspension work that they suggested I do again when I went in a few oil changes later. When I pointed out that they had done the same job they were quoting a short time earlier, they were totally unaware and said they wouldn't honor their warranty, claiming I must have hit a pothole (I hadn't). They also said that my engine was about to die and wanted to replace it for $10,000. It turns out Subarus of this engine type just require a lot more oil as they age, and I've driven it across the country several times now without issue. After a bad experience with another shop, I brought my 20 year old BMW to Convenience Auto for service and inspection. They took excellent care of my car at a price that was significantly lower than the dealer. After some minor maintenance was completed, I asked them to inspect my car and recommend any additional work they felt was needed on a 20 year old vehicle. They came back and suggested I change the brake fluid (I found out it deteriorates over time) and a couple of other items. They did not know this, but I had asked my dealer the same question and they had made the same recommendations, but the dealer wanted more money for the same work. Convenience Auto has earned my trust and I will use them for my other cars when their warranties run out. For me, they were very professional and honest with very reasonable rates. I don t know much about cars, I usually call my dad or brother for help. But the manager- can t remember his name, but he was so very informative and helpful! Grateful for his patience and knowledge and told me what was going on with my car.Super happy with their help and I ll definitely be back!This is the place you trust with your car! Highly recommend!! Went here to get my brakes repaired. Following their inspection, I initially chose to think on it but shortly after realized I needed the job done ASAP and they were kind enough to take my vehicle back immediately and had it done within a few hours. They were very understanding of my situation and did a lot to make it a quality experience despite the brake issue being more significant than I'd anticipated.Service: Brakes

I brought my car in for a random rattling noise it was making and various other small problems and they had my car fixed up the same day. Not only were they quick and did an amazing job fixing my car up but the young man Nicholas was extremely helpful in explaining what was wrong with my car too me and had amazing manners. Will definetely be coming here for future car problems!

Best service, fabulous staff!I m so happy to find a trustworthy, reliable repair shop!The mechanic was great, explained everything in layman s terms without the typical condescending rhetoric too often used with women.Prices are reasonable & repair was completed on time. I highly recommend Convenience Auto.

Quoted $700 to fix a 2007 toyota prius driver front wheel bearing. Asked how many hours of labor that was and they replied it is 2 hours labor. I know the part is $110 after taxes and when I asked how much they were charging for part he could not give an answer and responded "it'll be $700 parts and labor." Called around and just about anywhere else was cheaper and polite staff. Not sure if employee I spoke to even researched it because he did not sound sure and could not give me answers of breakdown of price.

I am so impressed with the quality of service I received at Convenience Auto! They were attentive and transparent with their service and even tried to save me money on the extensive work my car required. Their team was readily available to pick me up and drop me off while my car was being serviced, and all of my interactions with their team members were very pleasant. I had taken my car to two other repair shops before going to Convenience Auto and can honestly say that I highly recommend taking your car here for maintenance and/or repair over any other shop in Ann Arbor. Time certainly flies. I started bringing my cars here a couple years after the warranty expired on my 2000 Audi. I think they had just opened. They immediately saved me a ton of money over the dealership and I had them service it until I sold it and bought my 2011 Subaru which is going strong at close to 200k miles. My husband has been taking his 2016 Mazda there since buying it, too.I try to get all my oil changes done there do they can keep an eye on things that might need attention. This has been especially helpful as my cars have aged. They often give a heads about something that will be needed down the road.Great place!

We have had to take both of our cars in for service in the past month. With easy online scheduling and friendly service, it was a breeze. Convenience was polite, efficient and easy to work with. In our most recent experience a part was supposed to arrive in 3-5 days at which time they could fix our car. The following afternoon I received a call saying the car was ready to pick up. Price seemed competitive/appropriate too.

I've had my Outback and my Impreza serviced at Convenience for five years, and I've found them to be ethical, not suggesting unneeded repairs, fair-priced, and efficient. I think this place outscores dealership service for price, quality, courteousness of the staff, and work being completed when promised. They are also very honest about what work I need to get done right away and what I can hold off on. A few times when it turned out to be a super minor fix, they didn't even charge me!No nonsense and no scams, just a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

I LOVE convenience auto. They always get our cars in quickly, give a fair estimate and do wonderful work. I so appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff is. I went in for an oil change the other day and needed more work then I had originally thought. I was on a tight schedule and Joe made it work! They made a special trip to get the parts needed and John repaired the car quickly. Thanks guys, you are the best!

If I could leave a minus stars I would leave a -10! A tow company brought my 84-year-old mom's car here by accident and this shop repaired the car even though I told them "do not touch the car". They knew days before they shouldn't have repaired the car. Then, they held the car hostage for over a week now wanting to be paid for the repair. They've lied saying they have an audio recording of my mom giving the okay for the repair. However, when I asked repeatedly to hear the recording one excuse after the next comes up ending in "comcast has to send a pin number". Comcast's answer to that? "We don't record or save any of our business account's phone messages". So they're essentially trying to rip an old lady for thousands of dollars. I'm not sure and cannot swear but it seems a whole lot of shady going on at this shop. AND THE WORST, MOST SLEEZY OWNER I've ever had the displeasure to meet. Be careful of this over-priced, overblown stick-up shop! Worst ever. And most of the positive reviews are from friends/family because no one would like them really. Go figure!Update: I literally had to take legal action to get this resolved. They tried to sick their attorney on me and he threatened me with the cost of their legal fees. Blah blah blah... I stuck to my guns and in the end they settled and had to pay! Terrible terrible experience. Don't waste your time or money! I promise you'll regret it!Hope they've learned to not rip people off.Services: Engine repair, Brake service & repair

Mike M and the team at Convenience Auto were absolutely wonderful! I chugged my broken vehicle to them after hours when it spontaneously broke down on me, and they had the whole repair done by 3:30pm the next day. They were up front with pricing, provided us a full report with pictures, and Mike M took the time to break things down for me without making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. I don't usually review, but my experience here was fantastic. After less than stellar service at the Honda dealership, I decided to give this place a try. The customer service was great & the pricing (I had to get a new alternator in my 2005 Accord) was fair. I loved that they didn't try to take advantage of me or discount my description of the problem, due to the fact that I'm a woman (I recently had this issue at the Chrysler dealership here in AA). They were also super flexible/accommodating to my schedule (I'm a poor & busy grad student at UMich). All in all, I highly recommend this place & will go back for ANY issues with my cars.

I took my 2008 Ford Focus in for a series of repairs (from heater Core to sway bar links). All the work was done the same day and at a reasonable price. The work is quality and I m satisfied.

Knowledgable and friendly consultation! I called asking about safety devices to prevent my catalytic converter from being stolen, because thefts have been spiking this past year. They told me that the design of my car s model and make is such that a thief would have to be incredibly dexterous and dedicated to steal the catalytic converter. Very nice and helpful of them. I ll call back when I need other things.
