I dropped my vehicle off in the evening with no appointment. It was quickly looked at and fix the next day. I problem was clearly explained to me and all my questions were answered. They did a great job. I highly recommend them.

OEM part had started to fail. I was recommended by a friend to use the aftermarket part instead. I brought the part to A2 Advanced Automotive and the tech agreed to install it although it isn t something they normally do. Installation required modifying a hose and acquiring some additional hardware that wasn t in the kit. Understanding the time involved in reading the instructions and troubleshooting these installation issues I asuggested adding an hour of labor to cover it. The work was completed swiftly and correctly, and I sincerely appreciate the effort and quality of the work. They went the extra mile on a job they don t normally do, saving me hours of time and enabling me to address this repair quickly and easily. Thank you.

Poor customer service, they had my truck over a week. The only thing was done was the engine cover removed and heat shield for the turbo. I called a couple of days after dropping the vehicle off to get a status on my work vehicle and was told the the mechanic was not in yet. He will be in around 9 or 10am. Called later in the afternoon still no status mechanic was gone this is on Wednesday late afternoon. I was would be called tomorrow with a status and that it would about $2,200.00 to repair. I told them this is my work vehicle to go ahead and repair that I need my vehicle repaired. No calls the next day. Called Friday, late morning mechanic/ Owner was running late did not know what is going on with the vehicle. She would call me later with a status. Once again no calls. Arrived late evening took pictures of the engine compartment. The vehicle was not touched and no called. Called MO day morning, still no status. Arrived at facility and no one was working on my vehicle. I told them I will have my vehicle picked up on the next day. Was charged over $400.00 dollars for removal of engine cover , heatshirld for turbo and some ducting. If I didn't know how to work on my own vehicle he would have taken me for a lot more money.

Was buying a used car, and had the guy who was selling it to me meet me at Advanced Auto so they could inspect it before I bought it. They charged me $150 for the inspection, test drove it, put it on the hoist, and told me that it was in good condition, but would need new front rotors in a few months. I negotiated a price and bought the car based on this information. They said they would do the front rotors for $1,100 if I wanted. That seemed pricy to me, so I decided to take it to Ann Arbor Muffler instead. When Ann Arbor Muffler looked at the car, they noticed that the Driver's seatbelt wasn't catching (meaning I would go through the windshield if I got in an accident), the passenger airbag was malfunctioning, and both the front AND back brakes and rotors needed fixing. Ann Arbor muffler did the front AND back for $770, ($330 less that Advanced Auto was charging for just the front) and they did a great job. Not only did Advanced Auto try to gouge me for the front rotors, they MISSED THE FACT THAT THE DRIVER'S SEATBELT WASN'T WORKING (and the passenger airbag too). Had A2 Muffler not caught this, and I got in an accident, I could have died. Negligent, not thorough, and overpriced, go to Ann Arbor Muffler, Brakes & Shocks instead.

I know front end work can be expensive, but I knew it had to be done. Noise and feel of the vehicle before repair was an indicator. AAT gave me a quote, which was fair. Final price was pleasantly under the quote. Ride and feel of the vehicle is solid!!! Thank you guys!!

This was my 7th visit to Advance Automotive, and again they did not disappoint with friendliness, professionalism, price, and work performed. Very pleased as always, and please take other reviews on here with a grain of salt. I've been taking my cars here for years and they always do a great job. They don't upsell you stuff you don't need and tell you whats most important to fix or if it can wait. Office staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

I was in a pinch with my car and everyone there s was very helpful! Nicole was very sweet and out going and the rest of the techs in the back got my car done in a matter of hours. Every other place told me it was going to take 4-5 days to even look at my car but these guys got me in the next day. Not only that but the cherry on top was the price, the dealership quoted me about $400 and the crew at Advanced got me a little under $250 out the door. Overall I m upset I couldn t do the exhaust work myself, but I also shouldn t have gone neck deep with my first attempt. Overall 10/10 service, highly recommend!Service: Exhaust

Stopped in to have the owner perform a test drive on my car to confirm my manual transmission was still working well. He took me for a short drive. He explained everything he was doing and what he was checking. He informed me that the transmission was good. No cost for the test drive!!! I have never been to this shop before, they were recommended by the guys at Ross Beaks collision. It is refreshing to have a repair facility check out your vehicle and not try to take advantage of the consumer. He was honest and trustworthy! Highly recommend this shop. Will review again after I take my vehicle there for service.

I chose this shop because they were referred and had decent reviews. Also, their price they quoted was on par with everyone else we had gotten quotes with ....or so we thought. We dropped off our car after hours and got a polite and courteous phone call first thing in the morning letting us know they were about to test drive and checkout our vehicle. By late afternoon we had heard nothing further so my wife called to check on the status as I was on my way home from work. When she called they told her a new price that was more than double the original quote. As a manager who works in customer service myself, I would never quote my customers one price to book the appointment and then change it let alone more than double it during their actual appointment. We were very frustrated with this outcome so we picked up our car without the work being completed. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because they were polite and courteous otherwise and apologized for the misinformation. Now I have an appointment at another shop who has assured me the appointment would take half the time this shop suggested it would take and that nothing would change with their quoted estimate.

Customer service was awful, extremely limited payment options and the sheer unwillingness to work with customers on any issue. Aside from customer service, the quality of work performed does seem sublime but it s only been a few days.

Bumping up my review of this work by a star. That work was 11 years ago, and I'm still using the truck. I can still be a little cranky about some of the work, but the pinion seal and other drive train parts are hard to work on. They did a great job on that, as evidenced by the fact it's worked fine ever since.I had three jobs done on my truck - transmission swap, exhaust system replacement, front U-joints replaced. I had planned to do some of the work myself, so I had bought many of the parts and priced the rest. I also wrote up a detailed description of the work I wanted done and which parts I had already bought and were in the cab of the truck.

Their part price of Denso Mass Air Flow Sensor is too high, almost triple of Amazon price and double of AutoZone price or Toyota dealer price.

Incredibly straight forward process from start to finish, dropped off my car after hours with no problem, fast response with quote and work was done even quicker than expected. Informed me of some other focus points on the car and let me off with a good price and no hassle. Very Knowledgeable professional and efficient. I brought my car in and within 24 Hours they identified the issue, explained the repair, and provided a price that did not change upon completion, less than a week later. Spoke to service rep, agreed on total cost of fix, fix was completed in a timely fashion. After repairs were complete, without discussion the price had doubled from $400 to $800. I scheduled an appointment for my car, but when the problem got much worse, they had me come in immediately. Despite coming in unscheduled, they had it fixed and ready within 24 hours. Estimate was very close to the final price. They did a good job of explaining the problem and what was done. Doesn t do the job correctly. Everytime I ve brought my car to them they fix it within a day or 2, but then I have to bring it back 2 or 3 separate times for every single issue. From now on id rather just deal with the wait times from a place that is more trustworthy.

After paying the $135 diagnosis fee, I received a quote of almost $900 for the repair. Two other auto shops in Ann Arbor quoted the same repair at $425 and $450 respectively. I'm extremely disappointed to lose $135 since I was already aware of the problem they found. The money is down the drain since I certainly won't be using them for the repair because they are more than double the price of other businesses. Really regret having stopped by. I wish I would have read all the negative reviews sooner,because I certainly would have avoided this place all together.

Car was taken in for front brakes and steering pulling to left and steering wheel shake--they rotated tires and replaced tire rods--supposedly. Brakes were noisy when car was paid for $1600. Still pulls to left. Tire valve caps were welded to stems so questionable that the air pressure was checked in tires. They then recommended that I go to Tire Discount to have the valve caps removed and tires checked. Tire Discount did that for free. Went back and they rotated the tires, again but did not fix anything and did not consider refunding any money. Out $1600 for front brakes and got a lot of shoulder shrugging. Used to be good place. Not going back unless they invite me. NO STARS because the repair is still incompleteServices: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

I ve been going here for years and they ve always been great. However, they really got me through a tough situation tonight. Had to stop at a few places on the way home after work to get parts for my car the day before thanksgiving when most places are closed. They were my last stop and I got there right before they closed. I expressed that I was sorry for coming in so late and that I was stressed, and they were so cool about it and helped me out big time. Wish I asked for their names, but they were two awesome dudes.Service: Brakes

Not many shops will work on my 1963 Dodge Polara. Advanced took it on and did a great job. They found the needed parts and I now have working brakes. I will go back to them again for work on my various collector cars.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Horrible experience! Over priced and did not do a complete diagnostic. They wanted me to spend 6600 dollars on a repair and when I continued to talk to the person, he offered to buy my car. He said he would purchase it for 6000. Which means the owner was going to do quick repair and then sell my vehicle and make a profit. Went to another shop and the repairs were 3000. Don t ever go there. Not a trust worthy place!!!

They got my car in on short notice and finished before the quoted time. Good prices and friendly staff! They checked out the rest of my car and told me some minor issues to be aware of but didn t push me to buy anything or fix any of it which was awesome. I hate feeling pressured and they seem to genuinely care about your safety and awareness rather than your money. Highly recommend.Service: Oil change
