Was very happy with my experience here for my oil change! Everyone was kind and the service was quick and efficient. Price was very reasonable. Also appreciated the post-service check up to make sure everything was running good.

The entire team was thoughtful, patient in their explanations, thorough in making sure I was safe on the road. The portal with diagnostic info was easy to use, and kept me in the loop through the whole process. Definitely a trustworthy shop, I highly recommend!

The strut on my back hatch broke while I was trying to get my grocery shopping done in Ann Arbor, causing my hatch to be unable to close to drive home. Abbott was the closest shop nearby. I stopped in, explained my issue, they came immediately out to help me remove the broken strut and I was back on the road within 5 mins. Not to mention it was pouring down cold rain when they came out to help! Thanks for the kindness and for turning a bad day around Abbott Street Auto Service!

Over charged, overpriced, and mediocre workNot angry, not vengeful. Just giving an honest review. Came in to get my front strut repaired around 3 months ago. Was charged more than any other shop in the area and still had problems afterwards.

Stopped by to get my heating and cooling along with blower motor fixed back in February. Same issues resurfaced only 7 months later. I called in to let them know that the same issues have presented themselves to be told I could have an appointment in 8 days at the earliest. I have my doubts that the $800+ repair was done properly, which I expressed on the phone when I called today to speak with the service department. There wasn t much concern and I was told to call back if I cannot find an appointment with another shop sooner.

Everything was explained clearly before the work was done, the work was completed on time and the car runs great.Since my first post, I have visited this shop twice and continue to be impressed. They use a streamlined phone app for updating me on the progress and estimated costs. Very much better than disruptive phone calls...Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

These people do good work. They are courteous, friendly, and competent. They also work quickly so you aren't without a vehicle for long spells. I highly recommend them!

My brakes were in desperate need of replacing and they scheduled me the same week to get them done. On my way to drop my car off the night before my maintenance light popped on and they even managed to get my oil change done at the same time. My brakes were smooth as butter after. I'm satisfied with the speed, price, and quality of service, as well as the customer service. Would definitely recommend.Services: Brakes, Auto maintenance

I had a great experience with Abbott Street Auto and I definitely plan to return to them in the future. My car broke down and they took the time to research the most cost-effective solutions for me. They communicated with me regularly and explained my options, their recommendations, and their reasoning. As someone who doesn t know much about cars, I really appreciated their patience and explanations. In the end, they were able to get my car back on the road and it runs great. Moreover, I needed the car by a deadline to make it to an out-of-town meeting, and they went above and beyond to get my car to me in time for me to leave and make it to my event. They quickly got my van to the shop, diagnosed the problem, provided clear and thorough information to me and a very reasonable cost estimate. Came in for service on my 2001 Lexus430 LS. Needed a safety inspection and a splash shield repair or replacement.I had an appointment and they addressed my problem timely. My splash shield could not be repaired, but an original equipment part was found and could be obtained and installed 3 days later.Last summer I brought the same car in when a rodent ate through the alternator wires. They diagnosed the problem, located the part needed, and repaired it.They are friendly,efficient and professional. They provide photo's of the problem, and keep you posted on the repair progress. Their pricing is very competitive. They may not walk on water but I would recommend them to anyone needing service and repair on their out of warranty Lexus vehicle.

Came in this past May, in which they proceeded to misdiagnose an alternator problem as catastrophic engine failure and told me it needed to be brought to the dealership, which couldn t get me an appointment until the end of August.This resulted in an entire summer without a car, which in turn severely impacted the seasonal business I own.But I ve heard they re great otherwise lol

I am very pleased with Abbott Street Auto! I took my car in to get an inspection for a potential repair. I had been told by my dealership that I use that my struts and front suspension needed to be replaced ($$$). Even with that info, the mechanics conducted an extensive inspection of my car and found nothing wrong with the suspension and saved me around $2200 if I were to listen to the dealership. They identified an issue with my brake pad and included a video to explain what they found. They were very transparent and did not take advantage of me when they very well could have. Their location is also easy to access from UMICH central campus via the bus.Services: Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection

I'm very happy with my experience with Abbott Street Auto. Both Bailey and John explained the state of my repairs with informative detail. When we settled on what needed to be done, they were able to schedule the repair appointment within a few days. The fix was finished the same day I brought my car back which was very helpful. They were accurate with their estimates in both what needed to be fixed and the price that came with it. I'll definitely come back for my next repair.Service: Exhaust

I have been going to your Stadium Auto Service since it opened and totally enjoyed the friendly service I received there from Jim, Jon and all the employees. Recently my mechanic, Zach, moved from the Stadium location to Abbott Street Auto Service since he specializes in Asian cars and I couldn t be happier! Both John, the manager and Bailey have been great to me since I walked in. I had some major difficulties going on with my car and they got me through the process with their knowledge, wonderful customer service and especially their kindness. They were willing to take the time to explain to me in detail what needed to be done for my car to get it up and running. I can t tell you how nice it is to walk into a business and be greeted with a smile and your name!Service: Auto maintenance

These guys are awesome. Friendly, great communicators and affordable. They kept us informed from start to finish, including a compete set of images of critical inspection points. For the few minor issues they detected, they took a very thoughtful approach as to whether they should be resolved right away or if they could wait. I dropped off the car. My wife picked up the car. ****UPDATE 5/28/23*****Had my oil changed and brakes done and even was given a loaner. Everything went off without a hitch and my cost matched my estimate almost to the dollar.Again, super kind and professional folk and in my belief, great mechanics you can trust.ALSO....the below issue was addressed and corrected and how the original price happened was clearly explained to me.These really are stand up people Wanted to love this place and after 3 visits I just can not. My last visit was +$500 for an oil change and 4 headlight bulbs. I was sticker shocked for sure ( guy in front of me got his brakes done for about $50 more than I paid for bulbs and oil change...whaaa)and even though everything was explained to me, there are greasy fingerprints on my hood and their supposed "credit" for service, that you get to use towards next service, I apparently have none... even though my 60k "service reccomendation" 3 months ago was +$1000. I appreciate everything costs more now but these guys are dealership pricing in my opinion. I brought my car into Abbott thinking it was the previous provider where I had work done five months ago. John quickly put my mind to ease, letting me know he would do his best to honor any previous warranties. While there was not time to get my car on the lift without scheduling, he generously took it for a quick drive and reassured me there were no urgent safety issues. He also guessed the source of the two noises I was hearing, which was confirmed the next day when they did a thorough inspection. They texted me a link with detailed photographs of the inspection results and discussed the estimate by phone. They were able to quickly order parts and schedule the needed repairs. John and his crew were very professional and knowledgeable and I felt confident that my car was in good hands. Everyone I met at ASAS was helpful and friendly. For my initial visit/evaluation, I told them I planned to wait for my car so they made sure my car was one of the first in line. My son s car broke down out of state on Mother s Day. I had to find a shop for the vehicle to be towed in an unfamiliar area. They were honest, prompt with communication and overall great to work with. Couldn t have found a better shop!

I ve been to Abbott Street Auto a few times now for my very particular 2000 chrysler sebring classic and every time leave feeling comfortable that she s in good hands. Their communication is great throughout the whole process and I love being able to see all the findings with photos in their comprehensive vehicle inspection report. I highly recommend that you have your car inspected and repaired by Abott Street Auto Service. When my car started to shake while idle, I was honestly pretty nervous. As a young woman with a limited understanding of how my car works, car repair shops can be an intimidating space for me, and I ve had poor experiences with other repair shops. This was not the case at Abbott Street Auto Service. Both Ed and John treated me with a great deal of respect while my car was in their care. The mechanics were able to diagnose the primary issue with my car, and upon inspection they also found that I was driving with dangerously thin brake pads. I was able to have both issues repaired during my car s visit to the shop.Not only was the process completely transparent (I received a checklist of all the inspected areas of my car, with pictures of my damages attached!), but they were also super timely. The turn-around time on my repair was even faster than originally estimated. I brought my car in on Tuesday (12/14, right before Christmas!) and they had my care inspected and repaired within 48 hours. Now, I can travel to spend time with my family over the holidays without having to worry about my car making the 12-hour drive. I feel very fortunate to have chosen Abbott Street Auto Service.

I would absolutely recommend Abbott Street Auto to anyone needing repairs. I was looking for a reliable local auto repair shop for maintaining my Rav 4 after the manufacturer's care was expired. I was so happy I found Abbott Street Auto Service. They are a new, but professional auto repair shop. I was referred by the Stadium Auto Service, which is owned by the same owner. The Abbott Street Auto is more specific for Japanese vehicle. I went for the oil change. The customer service was very helpful to squeeze me in during a busy time. I have got my oil changed the next day in the early morning. Everything was done smoothly and on time. They ran an inspection during the service and showed me the report in a very clear and professional way with pictures. The price they charged is also much better than dealers and very reasonable. I was very satisfied with the service and feels confident while I am driving my car now. I definitely will go back and would like to recommend them.Service: Oil change

I needed an exhaust repair quickly. While other shops couldn't even look at it for 3 weeks, Abbott got me in and done in 3 days! They saved my catalytic converter, so I didn't have to buy a new one.
