This place is honest! They took the time to look at my daughter s car, without an appointment, found the issue and corrected it within a few hours. Might not have been a big deal to them, but it was to us, especially being hours away. Highly recommend!

Their repair shop was so good to me! I live in Ohio, my daughter is in college in Grand Rapids! Her starter went out in her car, I had it towed to them on Monday and she got it back Tuesday morning. Trust worthy shop. It s nice to know that I have a shop to depend on with her car!

My daughter is a student at GVSU. They dropped her off at her dorm and picked her up when the service was complete.Charged me $300 less than the job was quoted.Very professional and very honest establishment.Thank you Ensing's!

I was recommended by a friend and Max, was had knowledgeable mechanic, he a straight shooter and he was very nice to me. I enjoyed talking to him and telling him about my car problems. His timing was great. I would highly recommend Ensign s Auto, to my friends

I have trust issues. It seems impossible to find an actual mechanic that is honest and doesn't charge an arm or leg for everything....THEN I find this place. SUPER nice, and always available for whatever you need. Even if just need questions answered etc., they got you! They are also VERY affordable compared to most places around. Great work, great service and great people. I won't take my car anywhere else.

We trust Ensings with our cars and they always come through. They are professional, honest, and give great advice on follow up steps for our cars. It feels like they care about us and the state of our cars and not just a paycheck. I highly recommend their service.

All the mechanics I interacted with, especially the owner, are very professional and honest. They tell you up front how much things will cost broken down by parts and labor. I have had issues diagnosed and then I decided to wait on repairs and drove away for free. They can be busy but when I made an appointment they always did quality repairs in a timely manner. I had a specific issue with a strut needing replaced, and instead of recommending new for higher margin, they recommended and sourced a used part for much less money. Very honest people, will always give them my business as long as I am in the area.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

My son s car had been rear ended the night before & was making a noise as a result. I called the next morning to ask them if they could inspect his vehicle to be sure it was safe to drive. They worked him in and took the car for a test drive. They made the small needed repair that afternoon. Staff was very friendly and gave me peace of mind about my vehicle. I have a decent commute and had some recent issue, but they ended up not charging me since they couldn't find a problem. Chuck and Diane have the most honest and fair shop in the greater Grand Rapids area. I have never felt so comfortable and confident with their services. Trust goes a very long way, and they give you every reason to give them yours. Honest and fair pricing, thorough explanation of the problem and the process they will do to fix it. Plenty of other service centers will fear monger and nickel and dime you for various repairs. Ensing's does not - the only place I'll ever take our vehicles to!

Hands down the most honest mechanic shop around. They are the only independent shop in the GR area I recommend anymore. Prices are fair and they go above and beyond to make sure your car is fixed.

We have been using ensings auto repair for almost a decade. There is absolutely no other place we would consider going. They are a small town business who truly cares about their customers. Chuck and the staff are always more than helpful and have been Lifesavers for us more than once. Chuck even gave me a ride to my kid's school after I brought my car in and we realized it wasn't in any condition to drive. I was worried how I would get to their school to pick them up and without a thought, he gave me a ride. I would have been stranded otherwise. Their prices are always fair and they do excellent work. I feel silly it took me so many years to review them, but I tell anyone and everyone about their wonderful service all the time.

They tell you everything about the state of your car but give you the options on what you want to fix. They are very personable, and while I waited for my car to get fixed in the middle of winter, the receptionist dropped me off at home and picked me back up because I had no ride at the time. Prices much more reasonable than local Tollman's.

Ensing's fixed my previous repair that I had done incorrectly and explained what I had screwed up. The price was very reasonable as well. Definitely will go here again!Edit: I came back for something different a year later & they once again were incredibly helpful. They put the car up for me & showed me the different parts that were broken and explained why they thought it was better to not fix it & instead buy a different car. You can't ask for better service!

I 300% recommend this shop, especially Dylan. I bought my car from an auction and didnt know what it had done to it exactly. He went over my cars records with me, looked at my car in detail, and made recommendations for me based on what it really needed. He knocked 3 or 4 maintenance items I didn't need yet off the bill, while other shops surely would have just done the items, made the money, and sent me on my way. Thanks Dylan!

Wonderful people to work with. They made sure that everything was ok after I got my truck back, and also made me feel comfortable that if I have any more issues they will do what they have to to make sure that they are taken care of. I won't hesitate to use their services again if needed.

Great service/people/experiences here.A few years after my car was serviced I got a call from the owner stating that a part he remembered replacing for me was recalled by the Ford. He went through the trouble of finding my phone number, passing along this information and even sending me the receipt to take to the dealer (because of course I had lost it).In the end, Ford reimbursed me for this $1,500 service that I wouldn't have known about if not for Ensing's.

Appointment based. Ensing's got me in on time. With their expert knowledge and upfront honesty they are by far the best repair shop I have delt with. Pricing is fair. I always go back to these guys for repairs and have never been let down. 5 stars all the way!

This auto repair is squared away. My family has gone to then over the years and we have always gotten great friendly service. No issues we've brought to them they couldn't fix yet! Would recommend.

ATTENTION SUBARU OWNERS: Austin here at Ensings is by far the most knowledgeable subaru specialist I've been able to find around the GR area in the 10+ years of owning Subarus. I would honesty trust him over any subaru dealership. I'd also imagine he and the other mechanics here are equally as reliable as far as any other vehicles goe, as well.

First they look at your vehicle and tell you what is wrong and have a service technician (not a mechanic or a customer service person) look at your car. He tried to get me on the road, but my vehicle was leaking transmission fluid. They took it in, found out what was wrong and fixed it the next day. This is one of those places where you wish everyone was like them. Nice, trustworthy, and will help you get a deal. They even accept third party parts. I haven't heard a bad experience from anyone who has been there. In short, these guys are awesome!

I stopped in last minute as from my drive from Muskegon to Allendale to surprise my husband at work. I stopped at Walgreens and when I left my car was making a horrid noise and smelt like burning. I was a little (lot) concerned so I went to the closest auto shop across the street. I walked in and just said I need some help and that was all it took. They got it right in to take a look, we re super nice about it and didn t treat me like I was a dumb woman (as some car places tend to do). Turns out my spring was broken. I was REALLY impressed with how well they took care of me! Extra thank you to Austin and Zach and who fixed my car!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Im.new to the area used to go to holland at Christan brothers to get car fixed.. never again since I found ensings. The ONLY downfall which why they wont get 5 stars. I'm having issues with a job they did and my check engine keeps coming on throwing a code for the job they just fixed well now its 2 codes and ones showing red warning sign.. and they are still making appointment for almost 2 weeks out for their mess up?? I think the response should be get it in asap since they have already been paid and apparently something isnt tight

Way over priced. Quoted me 3X the cost of parts, and refused to work with me on price or would not even take a suggestion when I tried to show them cheaper parts that were OEM. Front counter was very rude. Save money and get a better repair at Auto-Lab Of Jenison.

Had kids car towed there at midnight the next morning at 7:30 AM Chuck called and asked what the problem was with the car and within hours the kids car was fixed and back on the road. Thanks Chuck. He was affordable and for two kids that go to GVSU they are glad to have their car back for weekend.

These guys went to Speedway to try to help my daughter with a flat tire. It wasn t able to be repaired, but they took time out to do what they could do - free of charge. Our girls will go there for all service and oil changes while they re away at school. Thank you Ensing s!

Horrible! College student, (only $5 GVSU discount in which I had to ask) asked for an estimate was told $400 they took my car for over a week and didn't even look at it.Finally after calling several times, ONLY 2 hours worth of labor spent $600, which was $200 more than the estimate they told me on a cooling line with there "life time labor warranty" ended up leaving the place and they put a hole in my radiator!! Called them to ask them how they were going to compensate since I was stranded on the side of the road and they told me I would have to bring the car there and I would be responsible for towing fees! Had the car inspected and was told there was a perfect size whole drilled into the plastic on my radiator! OH YEAH THEY SEEM LIKE GREAT PEOPLE UNTIL YOU PAY THEM AND LEAVE now I am just waiting to see what auto problems they are going to cause next! SCAMMERS I will make sure everyone knows the truth! And my attorney will be contacting them! TOO SMALL OF A TOWN TO BE THAT CORRUPT AND STAY IN BUSINESS!
