Betten Baker Chevrolet in Allegan is positively the best experience I've ever had when purchasing an automobile. I and my wife Dawn bought a 2016 Chevy Colorado. What a beauty!! We walked in at 10: o'clock, talked to Collin for about 1.5 hours, came back at 3:00 with our old vehicles paperwork and talked to Christi and in another hour or so, we had a new vehicle, all finished and drove away! 3 hours = new truck. Man! Good value, great vehicles, fast and efficient service... everything a great auto dealership has to offer is right here at Betten Baker Allegan Chevrolet. 5 out of 5 stars!! The Service Department continues to do an excellent job. Matt is well versed on vehicles and offers very worthwhile advice on the pros and cons of any repairs I may need. I have two vehicles, one being a 2011 Impala with 215,500 miles on it that I am keeping for the sole purpose of driving my brother back and forth to dialysis. Matt is very versed in vehicles and gives me excellent advice on the pros and cons of repairs that may be needed. Matt s guidance has helped me keep my older car on the road this long. The new lady employee, I think her name is Clarissa is very courteous, friendly and most importantly has knowledge of vehicles and can answer questions about repairs. If I have a further question or she is unsure she goes to Matt so the customer gets the right answer.

Had a very positive experience purchasing my '21 Blazer. I'd highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Destiny Emmons at Betten Baker. She was extremely helpful & took the time to explain everything, but never pressured me. I left there feeling I got a great deal & was treated well by other staff, too! Was a pleasant buying experience. P.S. I named her "Hot Wheels".

I'm thrilled with my 2019 Chevy Silverado LTZ. Christi Foster was great to work with. I received a very fair price for my trade-in. This is my second purchase from this dealer. They are very good at what they do and made me comfortable with the whole process.

Very pleasant,got every concern taken of. Very helpful, attentive in what needed to be done. Collin and Christi were helpful and got it done. I had a light pop on and I brought it right back and it was fixed with no charge.

Don't over Think it.... Took way to long for an oil change. Never showed me the cabin air filter. I believed it needed changed and receptionist said they would show me. Almost two hours lady went to check to see if almost done and didn t come back. I went out to find out and they said she was finishing up paperwork doesn t say much on it but she did get me my discounts and was very nice.I really don t know if I will go back.

Service was great! Staff was great! Loaner car was terrible, but the bright side is they had one available! Smelled like sweat inside, dirty with 221,000 miles plus on it, chugged all the way back when we returned it, but better than sitting at the dealership for tons of hours for two recall issues, and oil change and tire rotation to be completed! Took us back to the days when we could only afford a "Hooptie"!

Mitch Nelson is one bad dude, I tell you what I had searched the entire Midwest for a crew cab f150 with the 6.5' bed and 5.0l engine and could not find one anywhere with minimal rust or decent mileage. Mitch called me as soon as this truck hit the ground at the dealer, and says dude I got your gem right here. I went in to check it out and it was everything I could have asked for and Mitch made the experience extra simple and fast. I couldn't believe it after my past dealer experiences. Thank you so much for helping me make my dreams come true !

We just picked up our 2021 Chevy Trail Boss. We are extremely happy with not only the vehicle but our interaction with our sales person, Christy Foster. She went above and beyond the service and attention to detail she gave us. She kept us informed on the status of delivery in this difficult time of chip shortages and delivery delay. Super simple and convenient. When I got my notification from the app I needed service, Heather made it super simple to schedule the appointment. When it came time I handed her the keys and everything got done in a timely fashion. Marco the tech even talked to me a bit about my truck and was a good guy to boot.

Staff at BB in Allegan Mi are the best. Maintenance department is quick and easy and so friendly. My salesman Bret Mallory is the best ever. Goes above and beyond. Knowledgeable and helpful and really makes sure I buy what I need for the best price. Never pushy!!! Won t buy from anyone else. Ever!

Service Department was excellent. Was able to schedule an appointment the next day! Kyle, the service advisor, was great to work with. Betten Baker did not have the part initially but went out of their way to come to my work to pick up the vehicle and bring it back once the part was in stock.

The first time I took my car in to this dealership, one of their technicians (who has since been fired) made a nearly fatal mistake, causing our brake calipers to fall off onto the road while we were driving, and drain all our brake fluid out, leaving us unable to safely stop the car. This could have killed our family. They promptly fixed things, and we were very lucky to have that accident occur where it did (on an empty section of hwy), and not be in a terrible accident as a result. I decided to give them a second chance after learning that employee had been let go. Unfortunately my most recent experience was also terrible. I brought my car in for an oil change, prior to leaving on a cross country drive this weekend. I had also asked that they do a quick check the AC while they had it in there, which was 90% functional, but would very occasionally blow warm air for short periods of time before going back to cold again. After receiving my estimate for repairs, I was told I had a leaking rear evap core which was the cause of the inconsistency in my AC. I initially decided to pass on the repair, because the cost was extremely high and I was not prepared to pay that at that time. It was only THEN (after the test had been done) that I was informed of the full process for diagnosing an AC problem. I was informed I would have to pay for an "evac and recharge fee", regardless of whether or not I proceed with the repair itself. And this is where it gets really shady. I was informed that because a leak was discovered, they were obligated to drain all the freon from my system, leaving it completely non-functional. My AC would no longer work UNTIL I moved forward with the expensive repair job. I was completely blindsided by this. In that moment, I had to decide to either drive across the country with my kids for 2+ weeks in the summertime with NO functioning AC, or pay the outrageous repair costs to fix it right then and there. I was never told of their diagnostic process in advance, or their obligation to remove the freon, should a leak be discovered. I was never given the chance to decline the diagnostic test from the start, which I would have done, had their process been explained to me ahead of time. I was essentially forced into a repair job I wasn't prepared for. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone after how things have gone down with them. It seems they lack moral compass and integrity, and are willing to put their customers in financially devastating situations. After speaking with others who have used their services, it seems I am definitely not alone in my experiences either. I'm extremely upset about how they handled this situation, and will not be bringing my vehicles back to them again.

He had everything ready when we got there and answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend Betten Baker Allegan, and will be shopping there in the future for our vehicles!

Had an appointment for 10:00AM. They took my car in 4:00 PM.I live in Holland and waited all day for my car to get done. It went in for a diagnosis check and checked my brakes and other things that I did not ask them to do. I will not go back there for service . They also did a half hr recall on my wind shield wipers.

So, on our 3rd 1K plus repair on a vehicle "repaired" by Betton Baker Allegan. Along with several smaller ones. A warranty Engine replacement, which meant we had to use a dealership shop. Unfortunately, replacing the engine required them to tear apart the old one, and remove the top end, along with all accessories to install on the new one. 3 week process, they said, turned into 3 months. Non-stop issues after. Didn't help to bring it back to them, (or apparently the Hudsonville shop hoping for better results), when they just band-aide it. $800 headlight. After I showed them their own paperwork stating they worked on the headlight and arguing, they agreed to replace it immediately. 2 months later, I had to get a hold of the GM, just to find out the service manager never ordered the new one. Finally got done. They then tried to cover it up, claiming impact damage, and get us to "split the cost", in fairness. They showed us a cracked light from a different truck (which I still have), but it had a "refurbished 2017" sticker on it, when we bought this vehicle in 2015. Not possible. $1100 traction control issues, from bolts left loose in drive train, (they found tightened the bolts but didn't repair any damage the loose bolts caused), $1100 drive train issues caused by same loose bolts. They didn't return emails or calls regarding these (I still have them all). 6 months later, they start calling and emailing non-stop, because they forgot to get the numbers off of the new motor, and file them properly with GM, so they didn't get paid for the warranty work. Which means they lied to me when I picked the truck up, and the 5 year, powertrain warranty on the new motor was not even registered. Now $1000 AC cracked line, (you guessed it, loose bolts) that they and Hudsonville already "repaired" once. Meaning they just kept putting freon in, and hoping we went away.This was just one incident on one vehicle. There have been several with service. They sold us new lug nuts ($300) "that wouldn't rust, yet were just as rusty 6 months later, than the originals.They have issued several "free oil changes" for unproffesional work (which I won't even use), for scuffing rims while rotating tires, leaving DEF streaks down the side of my truck after a service, etc.. Very unprofessional. Unfortunately, they don't fix any of their mistakes, and create other problems identifying them. When confronted, they were more interested in trying to give me a good deal to trade off the truck, then to fix any of it.Paying for the motor and using a quality shop would have been cheaper and less headaches for sure....... It's a shame. Had a 2 decade long relationship with sales team. Many vehicles, both business and personal. But service has definitely severed that relationship.
