Called every place in Michigan for the right motor, and no one had a decent motor for a reasonable price. Mike gave me an amazing deal for a great motor and great customer service. I can't wait to use it for my guiding season.

I have an older boat which requires "real" knowledge of mechanical parts and inner workings, which Mike has many years of experience with. He has diagnosed issues for me just by my description of a given scenario! He truly wants to be helpful and to impart his knowledge on you. Highly recommended.

First time boat owner here, and I took my boat out the first chance I got without having a mechanic look it over before i hit the water... big mistake... ill never make again. I ended up stranded on lake michigan... up creek and without a paddle. I called multiple boat mechanics that day and Mikes marina had my boat in that very day. Mike didn't waste my time he worked quickly and efficiently, was upfront with me and honest. Mike had my boat back to me in no time at all. Mike was in contact with me, provided updates, and answered all my questions. Mike took time out of his busy schedule and took me out on my boat for a test drive, he provided me guidance, explained the work he had done in great detail, and made sure I was happy and well informed of the maintenance he provided. Mikes marina provides quality service, hes reliable, works quickly and efficiently and had my boat back to me in a timely manner. Mike made sure my boat was up and running and reassured me I wasn't going to be out of luck this boating season. Mike truly cares about his customers, and is passionate about his work, he makes sure his customers are satisfied with the quality of his work and provides knowledge and education. From now on I'll be bringing my boat here anytime it needs repairs or maintenance. My boat has an older mariner engine that a couple places I called wouldn't work on. Another place I called said it would be 3 weeks until they could get me in, but Mike got me in right away and even let me drop it off after hours on a Saturday due to my busy work schedule. He rebuilt my carb and checked it over and had it ready just a couple days later. He also wouldn't charge me the full amount for the repairs until I've had a chance to get it on the water and check it out. I was pretty impressed at that! I'm planning on testing it out on the water next weekend. Thanks again Mike! You really went above and beyond and earned a customer for life

We purchased our boat through Mike, from the original owner. Mike has been servicing the boat all along. Even though it was 25 years old, the inboard motor looked, and ran, like brand new. The seats were immaculate. Mike knew everything about the boat and was completely forthright about it, both good and bad. He brokered a deal that was fair and "sweetened" it so we had even more reason to say yes. His knowledge and service makes it easy to see why he is so highly-rated. Thanks Mike!! Wow, we are so impressed with the service Mike and his team did for us. Mike came in the fall, pulled our pontoon out, winterized and stored for the winter. We needed a new boat cover and he connected us with Lou Ann who made us a beautiful new custom boat cover. Mike towed our boat to Lou Ann and we did all our communication via text. Made this process so simple. In the spring, Mike repaired our shifter cable and thoroughly cleaned the pontoons and interior. All services were at very reasonable rates. Communication was excellent through each process. We highly recommend Mike and his team for all your boat storage and service needs. On Saturday about 430 pm I called several marine shops after my Mastercraft died in the water. Mike was the only person that said he could look at it first thing Monday morning. (Other shops minimum 3 weeks out) He went out of his way, opened his shop so I could drop it off that night. Monday early afternoon he called and said come pick up your boat. He diagnosed that the distributor had broken several teeth and stopped functioning. Fixed it and got me on the water Monday afternoon. As my family is only here this week, I could not be happier with the work and customer service. Thank you Mike, customer for life.Service: Engine repair

Mike did an amazing job with helping me purchase my new Tri-toon! I have never experienced such great service and care from an owner of a business. My boat was ready on time, cleaned and oil was changed, it looked amazing!! He helped me with some trailer trouble that I had after I left and even gave me a spare tire to bring in case I had more trouble on the way home, who does that anymore?? Mike does, and anyone looking for boat service should definitely not hesitate to contact Mike's Marine Repair. They don't make them like Mike anymore, kudos to you Mike!! We had two boats with Mike and when the Edenville dam failed and we lost our lakefront property. We picked up the pontoon and left the speedboat. The pontoon looked great, the pontoons were acid washed and the wrap was still fully intact = dry interior. Mike was very accommodating with the other boat which we didn't have a place for, he kept it over the summer at no charge and gave us a spectacular deal to wipe down the interior, flush and change the coolant, re-wrap, and store for this winter. We took a chance with Mike several years ago after having a less than great experience with another local storage company. But Mike has been nothing but wonderful. He comes to your dock to pickup your boat in the fall, winterizes and stores it, then brings it back to your dock in the spring totally cleaned up. Many of his storage/cleaning services are all part of his storage fee, not a la carte/extra as with other companies. Also, if you need repairs during the season, he will come to you and try to repair your boat at your dock. My family & I are long term customers of Mike and Laurie. We have always been treated with respect & never let down. Mike shows up to pick up & drop off when he says he will. Whenever we ve had special circumstances or requests he has been able to accommodate in a timely manner. Mike is a hard worker & i ve never heard him complain about working hard! My pontoon is an older one and sometimes needs a little extra TLC. Mike has always been able to have it ready to go the following weekend. He has gone above and beyond in the past when I had an issue on the water. He answered his phone & talked me through my issue & got us safely back to shore. My family and I highly recommend Mike, you won t be disappointed. I have been around boats all my life. I found Mike's Marine on line last summer. He came out to my cottage on Forest Lake to install a new sound system. He did such a good job I let him store my pontoon for the winter. I called Mike in early spring about replacing the flooring from carpet to a seagrass water proof flooring. I did my research and read a couple of negative reviews. I have always been a pretty good judge of characters so I met with Mike in person to go over my flooring options and felt comfortable enough to pay Mike a 50% deposit to get the materials ordered. It's May18th and Mike delivered my pontoon to Forest Lake. I was extremely impressed with the new flooring and especially the cleanup of the boat which is part of the winter storage. My boat was cleaner than the day I purchased it 3 years ago. Mike did everything he said he would and kept his schedule discussed at the beginnings conversation. I would highly recommend Mike's Marine Repair to anyone owning a boat. Mike is a hard working and honest mechanic, something that is rare these days.

The tritoon had some cavitation in the turns Mike suggested a 4 blade cupped prop. It eliminated that issue. Mike's experience helped diagnose the problem and make our boating experience much better. I recommend his work. Thanks Mike!

I have been using Mike Marine Repair for years. He stores and does winterization each year. Every year my boat is cleaned upon delivery and communication is always great. One time I needed a repair and he did it during the week at my house instead of having to take it out of the water and made sure my boat was ready for the upcoming weekend. During COVID he stored my boat for free during the summer! My husband found Mike and trusted his work. He liked the fact that Mike came to your boat for repairs. After my husband passed Mike has taken me under his wing. He has taken care of the boat and has become a true friend. Since i m under a real tight budget right now, he offered to waived my winter storage and when we sell the boat in the spring, I will pay. Mike and his team did a great job with the Tritoon my in-laws bought, they cleaned the seats and the toons very well, everything that he told us about the tritoon was true and not mis represented. Mike has the best communication about the sale of this boat then I have ever had with buying something, very friendly and to the point. Mike has taken care of me for six years now and each time has gone far above my expectations. With owning a worn out pontoon he has been able to bring life back into twice now with no downtime whatsoever. Where do I begin!!! Mike saved the day for us 4 years ago when he took our boat out of the water at the very last minuteWe stored it with him that winter and have been with him ever since. Never worked with a nicer man.So helpful with everything we have needed help with!If only all businesses were run like his!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Mikes marine repair is the place to go if you need to store your boat or have work done! I hate to say it but the man knows more about boats then I do my own wife! Repairs are done correctly and in timely fashion and if you store your boat with him he cleans them and returns them to your dock for you at a great price to boot and you can t ask for more then that!

Mike's service was superior was available to answer questions with just a phone call . Any day I called or time I called . Mike stuck by his word when he said quick turn around. The boat was ready a week later.

We just got our first pontoon, the weekend before the 4th of July it broke. We were so upset and frantic to see if anyone could get us in to fix it before the holiday weekend. We found mike, called him on a Wednesday, he got our boat on Thursday and promised us he d have it fixed on Friday so we can have it for the 4th of July. It s Friday and we are currently sitting on our fixed pontoon. Not to mention, when we dropped it off he was working his butt off in the 90 degree heat on about 6 other boats trying to make sure everyone was taken care ok. I highly recommend Mikes Marine Repair, and will most definitely be using him for any future problems. Very honest and fair prices. Thank you mike for saving our weekend!

Took a 6hp Johnson in to repair steering bar. Mike said had to take motor completely apart to replace and would be $400 and probably not worth the cost. Then tried to sell me a motor for $400. I took to a friend who's mechanically inclined and it only took him twenty minutes to replace it and he's not an outboard mechanic. I don't know if he's incompetent or dishonest but neither one are good.Service: Engine repair
