Dave was very helpful in helping me restore my Graymarine engine Phantom 4-45. I had quite a few issues to solve for which he either suggested a solution, or found parts to replace broken ones. Dave is an amazing source for all things classic boat. His passion for early Chris Craft triple cockpits has been a tremendous help in our quest to complete the restoration of a 1926 26 Chris Craft. His experience, knowledge, collection of resource materials and inventory of parts have been a key to the completion our work. If Dave does not have a needed item in stock, he either knows where to acquire it or has the ability to reproduce it. Every visit, either in person or by phone is an educational experience. As we near the end of this restoration, it is obvious to me that the quality and correctness of our work have been enhanced by the involvement of Northwoods Boatworks and the relationship that we have built with Dave.Ed FairchildFairchild Boatworks

Being a novice at most mechanical things and acquiring a 1939 Chris Craft Barrel back by sheer luck, Dave took the time and patience to explain to me the workings of the boat. He made me feel like I was his only customer! I felt guilty the amount of time he spent on the phone explaining what I should be educated about, I tried to get him to charge me a consulting fee, which he would not. He is a true craftsman, there's not a lot of people around anymore that have that kind of knowledge and passion for their career.Service: Engine repair

Many thanks to Dave Moore and Northwood Boatworks for diagnosing and repairing manifold and transmission problems on my 1947 Deluxe Runabout. Dave also gave me valuable advice on DIY bottom repair and showed me the proper way to winterize the boat this fall.
