I've gone here a few times and both times were a pleasant experience. Jim is straight forward and direct and I respect that alot! My last experience I brought in a car that was obviously damaged.. He looked at it thoroughly and didn't charge me anything.. You've got a lifelong customer in me .. ps. Love the signs in the waiting area

I found Jim and Sons when I was looking to have my Campervan worked on and inspected. They did such a great job I now bring all my cars and trucks here. Just a great honest garage that is quick to repair and their prices are very fair.

Jim & sons serviced my vehicle and diagnosed and replaced the starter the same day it was towed to them. i am so pleased with the experience as a whole, all communications were very professional and polite very quick service (I was lucky to get them on a slower day but even so they wasted no time getting my car back to me) the price was very reasonable for the work that was done they did a really good job and correctly fixed the issue. You can tell they are very experienced and good at what they do. I have really struggled finding a good auto shop to go to with my car in the past and I have had work done on it and not had the problem resolved immediately knew I will not be returning to previous places but I'm so grateful to have the exact opposite experience with Jim and sons. after finding Jim and sons and having such a positive experience I can happily say I will absolutely be going back with any and all my car issues (I actually am bringing my car back in the upcoming week for a separate problem that's been going on for awhile and I've avoided but now I can confidently and excitedly bring it here to be resolved, that's how satisfied I was with them and the work they did) as well as recommend them to everyone I know. Finding a reliable honest professional mechanic is priceless and if I could give them 10 stars I would , don't listen to any of the bad reviews honestly this shop is amazing if you don't take your car here you are missing out and going to risk it with all these other shops in Worcester but I can guarantee that Jim and sons will not only treat you as a valued customer but also do a really good job with your vehicle at a realistic and honest price , thank you guys so much!

I showed up to Jim and Son s before their official 8 am opening. A very nice gentleman (sorry, I didn t get his name) took me right away (car inspection). As soon as I got there, they immediately knew what I needed and assisted me right away. I enjoyed talking to the man who worked there. I forgot to ask for his name but he was very nice and it was super quick from the time I got there and left. I got my inspection sticker and I got the chance to have a little chat with the man as well. Very very very nice guy definitely showed that he cared about his customers and his business. I 10/10 recommend !

I came here for a vehicle inspection, which went smoothly enough. I came here because it is close by and most of the reviews on Google were positive. But I won't be back.-The guy doing my inspection didn't wear a mask. I didn't feel comfortable asking him to put one on based on the right wing rhetoric posted on the walls of the waiting area. After reading one of the other reviews, I'm glad I didn't! So he sat in my car with the windows up, heat on. When he delivered my car to me after the inspection I got in and didn't want to take my mask off. There was a strong smell of cigarettes even 10 minutes after the inspection. I drove around with the windows open to air it out.-The place just doesn't feel like a modern professional business. I'm new to the area and I get that a mom/pop small business like this is probably typical for Worcester, though it seems like things are changing somewhat. Just not my thing.

I've used Jim and Sons twice for inspections. Being new to MA, they made the process easy and got me in and out quickly. I mostly handle my own repairs, but if I needed a repair that is above my pay grade, I wouldn't hesitate to take my car here. As to people complaining about perceived political leanings or COVID precautions, we are all individuals and entitled to our own opinions. While MA was the birthplace of the Revolution, it seems they don't really teach about it or the ideas behind it. Thanks for the great service.

Inspection sticker took more than 30min and at the end charged me $2 extra when I paid with my credit card! I would never again go back there!

Great place to get a sticker, Jim and Son's is a very well known, highly regarded business, which services the Worcester area. Jim, the owner, is a very nice man who takes pride in his business. The employees are also pleasant and respectful. As long as your vehicle is up to code, you'll be in and out. Fast friendly service... 5 stars all the way!!

Jim and his son Jamie are reliable, efficient, professional, knowledgable and kind gentlemen who always do a phenomenal job on my car. They go above and beyond to give great service and I truly recommend supporting a small family-owned business like Jim & Sons for any work on your car. They have an excellent team and always do a very thorough job; hands down the best place to go in this area to get your car worked on if you want it done right. Great staff, very knowledgeable! I own a paving business and they have been keeping my fleet tip top shape, sticker worthy, and they are always willing to work with people!!! I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of repair,(commercial/auto) , inspection sticker same thing (commercial/auto) !!

These guys did a decent job on my car. But the customer service is horrible. The owner hung up on me while I was discussing my car with him. Furthermore, he demanded that I pay with cash and not card, lest I cancel the payment before it went through. How could I trust a car mechanic when he up front doesn't trust me to pay him? I was not satisfied with the way he spoke to me. I'm sure they can fix your car but they won't treat you well. Just go next door to Roland's and they'll treat you much better.

The inspection was quick. Friendly enough at the start.Not a safe place to go if you take covid seriously. A sign out front says 'please wear a mask', but if you ask him to please wear it (he doesn't) he says, and I quote:"F-ing biden supporting liberal p-ssy. I should have f-ed up your car." (He used the full word).I didn't bring up anything to do with politics, no stickers or anything on my car. We hadn't actually spoken at all, so I found it to be an interesting response to handing him my credit card to pay.He also told me plenty in advance about the extra fee for credit card so that didn't bother me.Just go somewhere else. Can confirm with yelp. As of writing this review, he has all 1 starts on yelp.

I take back my past 5 star review - NEVER returning here again! Unfortunately met Jim who tried to upcharge me $900, he is extremely rude, impatient, and completely unprofessional not only to me but everyone I witnessed come into the shop today. Time to retire!!!

I called the shop and the man said to come right in. He took my car in the shop within five minutes and fixed it within a few minutes. It was only some small issue with my car but he didn t even charge me! His shop was a blessing!

I go there every year to get a sticker for my vehicle and my son's. Jim is always polite and easy to deal with. This is where you should go if you need something done. Thanks. A+

I highly recommend Jim and Sons. I needed brakes and an oil change. They were very polite, professional and took care of my car in a timely manner. The prices are very reasonable too.

AVOID at all costs. Paid Jim almost $2000 for major work. Vehicle was released and had same issues. After numerous phonecalls and requests for invoice, an employee was embarrassed to say they didn't have one. Eventually had to pay a 2nd licensed shop to do the same intended work. Jim never took accountability and only answered phone when threatened with a suit. Too many other options to risk your hard earned money and your safety. I take my truck here for inspection every year and they people are cordial and fix or tell you what need to be fixed it in advance and how much will cost, nice friendly people. I recommend it for women like me that need help with this stuffs for your car or in my case a Dakota truck.

Stopped in for a an Inspection sticker and the owner had an attitude right off the bat. Asked him to grab something out of my car and yelled at me like I was one of his employees. Stay away.
