Awful experience. Had them replace the brake and rotors. After, when we used the e-brake, it locked up on one tire so we brought it in. They tell us it needs calipers replaced for ~$400. They replace them and next time the e-brake is used it gets locked up again. They say it needs a cable replaced for $200. After noting that the calipers likely never needed replacing as it did not fix the issue, the employee refused to repair the cable because I "had a problem with their diagnosing ability". Absolutely ridiculous.Service: Brakes

We love Gardner Automotive! They never try to rip us off, the most honest and forewarning automotive shop I have ever dealt with. I do believe that their mechanics are not expert and confident enough regarding their jobs. I took an Infiniti FX 35 2008 to change the blue headlights as the car failed the state inspection. When I bought the car from a dealer of a Newyork I found the car had blue headlights although it passed NY state inspection. I guess the previous owner fixed it to have some fancy experience with his car. In Gardner, the mechanic after inspecting the car was totally scared and said that the car has after market headlights and he can not touch or do anything there. He just surrendered instantly. I was shocked to see and this place is a AAA approved garage with ASE certified. How can they are so inefficient and scared to do anything on that. Even other low quality garages also told me at least they can change the headlights. With so many high ratings in google, Facebook, and certifications I just found them totally numb and helpless in this situation. Later on I went to Premier Auto which was located on the same road and have the same ratings like them, they solved my issue by changing the HID bulbs. Yes they said the wirings were not properly fixed but they did their best whatever they could. As a car owner you always want a high rated mechanic to solve your problem, not to say you we can't do anything.

I switched Garages almost 1 Year ago, and could not be any Happier. I had a repair done recently and once again fast service and great Job. Each time I have had something done the price I Paid was Lower than what I was quoted. The staff is also the best always Polite and Nice. Had major damage to the subframe after the truck in front of me had it's drive train disassemble. Fixed in a reasonable time and price and the people were super friendly. Of course so far I have had it back for only a day but so far, great!

Gardner Automotive has been our fleet Mechanic for a few years now and they have always done a great job. My driver's have never complained about the workmanship of a recent repair. They are usually always able to help me manage the fleet with little notice and communicate clearly on what and when they are able to do something. The customer service is also very good and they all have an attitude geared towards helping their clients over helping their pockets.

Gardner Automotive took care of all my air condition issues in my car. Very professional, courteous and fair prices compared to other places I went to.I recommend them highly as I was very satisfied with their exceptional work! Great people! A 10 in my book!!

My parents have been taking their Subaru here for a few years. Recently, my father passed away. So when just two days later the heater fan blew, I brought it here. As soon as I said his name, the office folks knew who he was and were extremely sweet. They fixed it quickly, within 1.5 hours including time to have part delivered. The best part was the cost was quite a bit lower than their estimate because it took less time than expected. Highly impressed.

The quality of the service at Gardner Automotive is exceptional!! Julia and her staff have always taken excellent care of my automotive needs. Their pricing is more than reasonable. I recommend their services highly and make no hesitation to recommend their shop to friends and family.

Gardner Automotive performed an oil and filter change, state inspection, and headlight bulb replacement for me. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of my call. I have certainly submitted some challenging jobs to Gardner and they always worked professionally, efficiently, and with integrity and honesty to get the job done. There is no way I would have been able to drive one of my cars for almost 220,000 miles without their help. Julia and team are an amazing group of people. I not only have used her for my own personal car needs, Our company Electronic Security Group, Inc. sends all our fleet vehicles for regular maintenance and repairs. Great Old school customer service and honest advice.

Had over $500 worth of work done to front end. Car drove worse once I got it back and was never told what was wrong when it was given to me. When I brought it back was given a quote for more work. It may just be a coincidence so I understand that but it was more their attitude. They refused to acknowledge what I was saying, told me the car came in like that. It did not. Basically making me feel like I was lying to them. They could not have cared less that I was not happy. New customer is now a last time customer. Going back to my old garage. This place does not care about their customers only money. Nice bathroom for a garage but that is all. I want good car care not good coffee and a fancy bathroom.

Reasonable, reliable, honest mechanic..... What else could you ask for. I bring my Jeep, my wife's Honda and my mother's Honda here for service For the better part of 8 years. I strongly recommend this place if you need a trustworthy mechanic.

I had my A/C Compressor replaced at Gardner Auto. They gave me a certain quote, but I asked they put in a serpentine belt too. The cost worked out to exactly the quote even with the new part. They were honest about finishing quicker than usual. Most shops charge by the job and if they are quicker it doesn't matter. I was very pleased.Also, I have been using Gardner Automotive to do pre-purchase mechanical inspections for private party cars I buy. They do a wonderful job diagnosing potential problems which helps with price negotiating.Great Mechanic!

I came in for an inspection and everything was quick and easy. They noticed the lights for my license plate was dead so they replaced it after asking me about it. I checked my dash cam footage and noticed one of the mechanics described me as a "f*g", however it's all just honest work. 4/5, definitely coming back next year for another inspection.

I heard they had a good Subaru mechanic and had my 11 Imprezza in for cylinder head gasket, oil pan, water pump and timing chain. Price was fair and the work completed on time.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair
