My car was backed into by an 18 Wheeler while parked outside my house. The back wheel and suspension was bent as well as the pictured damage. Hanover insurance recommended me to go to Salem St Auto body as it was one of their partners. I dealt with Carlos the manager and he was straightforward and honest on every occasion.This repair took a while and yes it they did not always know exactly when the car would be done and yes I could not always get someone one the phone right away. Carlos at one point gave me his phone number so I could text him. I thought that was cool. This guy is busy. He is not just managing the office he is working after hours to get things done. So I cut him some slack being in a different repair business myself I know how it goes. It is really frustrating not having a car for an extended period of time. But I wanted it done right and I got the impression that they were doing everything they could.Fast forward to the results. All the panels line up, the paint is perfect. The car drives just like it did before the accident.There was a little bit of overspray on the car on a portion that was not worked on. Not bad, but I told Carlos and he bent over backwards to make it perfect, right away.Also since I went over my rental coverage the owner Paul offered a reimbursement for some of the rental charges!This is great service all around. I guess these things take time now a days depending on parts, availability, etc. But as far as the people and the work done at Salem St Auto body I am very happy. :) Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience at Salem Street Auto Body. I came in with a scratched bumper, and they gave me a quote that was fair and reasonable. They told me exactly how long it would take to fix, and they made drop off and pick up easy and smooth. The people that work here are amazing. They are great people and operate with efficiency that I ve never seen before! Brought my car in on the 5/2 and it was done by 5/9! I want to give a special thanks to Carlos, a 19 year old kid, who fixed a spontaneous problem within a matter of minutes. Salem st auto body is lucky to have such young and talented staff! Nobody likes dealing with a car accident but these guys make it so much easier. They dealt with my insurance so I didn't have to deal with that headache. They were also able to get car done in less time than the insurance company had estimated. The best part was they even detailed my car before I picked it up. My experience varied from 2-stars to 4-stars, but they left me happy so I'll give the 4 stars. I unfortunately got into an accident in my BRAND NEW Subaru (~1600 miles) and brought it here for repairs, which ended up being over $10k. Their original estimate for completing the repairs was 3-4 weeks. It ended up being 8 weeks. Their communication was horrible at the beginning. It took several tries for someone to answer the phone when I called, they didn't call me back when they said they would, and they seemed extremely annoyed that I was calling to check why my car wasn't ready when they said it would be. I don't think the delay was entirely their fault (they were waiting for parts to arrive), but I do think they could have given me a more accurate estimate from the start. By about Week 6, Paul (the owner) became my primary point of contact, and my experience greatly improved from there. His communication was great, and he was quick to address a few issues that remained after I finally picked up my car. This included paying for detailing since they left a mess in my (again, brand new) car. And he had a rental car waiting for me when I dropped my car off again for a few hours to fix the remaining issues.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

I was referred to Salem St by my insurance after a little fender bender and the positive reviews are definitely accurate!Paul, the owner, was the one to greet me on location each time and to answer my calls. They re friendly, professional and punctual with their work. Absolutely no problems at all. He even called the rental car agency to ensure they were there on time for me when I dropped my vehicle off.Highly recommend!

Paul and his team were incredibly easy to work with. They were fast at returning our calls and they were able to complete all work while we were away to avoid using rental cars. They even cleaned and vacuumed my car when it was done and left us with a sweet treat upon pick-up. I would totally recommend them to anyone.

Paul and his team made this real easy and did an outstanding job repairing damage to both sides of my 2017 Corolla. Looks brand new! Since I have Hanover and they suggested Salem Street Auto Body, Paul proactively called me to arrange my dropping the car off and having Enterprise come at the same time to arrange rental. I had some pre-existing damage he repaired at a great price. When car was ready a week or so later, I dropped off rental at the repair shop and picked up what looked like a brand-new Corolla. Extremely satisfied, great work and customer service!

I was skeptical based on recent reviews but I actually had a good experience. I had a small dent on my hood on my 1 year old car so I went through Geico and they set up the appointment for me. Salem Street did a walk around of my car, gave me an estimated completion date of Friday, I called on Friday and they said that it would be ready by Monday as my car was still drying and needed to be assembled. Car was picked up on Monday, looks good as new!

I had a deep scratch on the passenger door on my Audi and these guys were perfect. Car came back like new, nicely detailed, and on time. They were also able to set me up with a rental at a shop cost that saved me a lot of money.

Unfortunately I have had to take a few of my cars to Salem Street for major body work. Every time they did a phenomenal job. Paul the owner is extremely nice and accommodating. I recently had a disappointing experience at SALEM ST AUTO BODY. I entrusted them with repairing my vehicle, specifically requesting the replacement of a damaged part. However, to my dismay, they decided to take a shortcut and merely "fixed" the part instead.First and foremost, their customer service was abysmal. The staff seemed to lack professionalism. It took them an eternity to finish a 2 weeks job, I felt like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer.The real issue arose when I discovered that they resorted to a patch-up job instead of replacing the damaged part as we agreed. I paid a significant amount of money, expecting a proper repair, only to find out that they cut corners and compromised the integrity of my vehicle. This shoddy fix leaves me skeptical about the long-term durability and safety of their work.Furthermore, the overall quality of their repair work was subpar. There were visible blemishes and imperfections that were not present prior to their intervention. It's as if they rushed through the job without any attention to detail or pride in their workmanship.The lack of transparency and honesty from this auto body shop is deeply concerning. If I had known they would disregard my instructions and opt for a quick fix, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way.I strongly advise anyone seeking reliable auto body services to steer clear of Salem st Auto Body. Their unprofessionalism, disregard for customer requests, and substandard workmanship are far from acceptable. I can t say enough about this autobody! Paul made the entire process easy. There is nothing more frustrating then when your car gets damaged. I was dreading the insurance -the autobody experience and how much it was all going to cost in time and money.Paul made the entire process so easy. From my initial phone call to dropping off the car to getting a rental-all took just under an hour Total!He s a professional at what he does and I wish all businesses worked as efficiently as Paul s!He even goes the extra mile and washing the car before pick up but I think he wiped down the inside and vaccummed it tooProfessional-easy and affordable!Thank you Paul!!!

Been waiting on my car for over 6 weeks now for a repair they quoted would be done in 3. Went here through GEICO - turns out it was a huge mistake. They don't call back. I have no idea when my car will be ready -- frankly don't even know if they have my car or have started working on it. They also rarely pick up their phone. I don't think I've had as poor an experience getting my car fixed in the 20+ years I've been driving. If I could give 0 stars I would.Service: Body & Trim

I read the reviews then selected this place to have my car repaired. However they never answered their phone when I called. What kind of operation is this? How can I leave my car at a shop that I cannot get a hold of? I'm taking my business where they actually will pick up the phone.

Such a bad experience. Terrible communication. Left the interior of my car a mess with their supplies (screws, drill bits, etc). Told me 3 weeks, ended up taking 6 weeks because "my car got put to the side" aka forgotten about. Messed up my tail light wiring so now I have to get those fixed. Horrible customer service. Dates of completion not correct and representative Kevin was super dismissive and not assuring at all. If you want communication think twice. I had to call multiple times over the course of days with no call back even thou they state they will call back within 4 hours of work day.

Great service! I was hit in my rear end. He went above and beyond. Even drove my van to empty when I left it with a 1/4 tank. Regardless still did good work

No communication around when my vehicle would be fixed or where they are in the process. Be ready to wait a month or more for your vehicle to be finished with no updates.
