Dropped my car off with a sudden exhaust issue and it was fixed the same day! So happy and relieved that it was an easy repair. The front desk was awesome to deal with as well! Would definitely go back!

Recently, I took my car in for an inspection sticker. I was in and out in no time, and the staff was very helpful and informative. They even checked my fixed my tire pressure for free after I got my sticker. The mechanic who checked my tires was just friendly & chatty as he performed the task at hand. Didn't grumble once.Aside from and before that; I was also impressed by the way the staff treated the other customers. They were all very friendly and welcoming, and they seemed to genuinely care about helping their customers and spoke to them like neighbors.I only went in for a sticker but, if you have some bad luck with your whip in the area, I would highly recommend Expert Auto to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy auto repair shop.Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection

Jimmy is amazing, and all the mechanics are wonderful. Anytime I drop my car off i know i can trust them and they don t rob me of all my money. Expert auto is very reasonable, fast and thorough. Thank you Jimmy! <3

I would recommend expert auto to anyone who needs a trustworthy and very good repair shop.The time frame that my car was fixed after an accident was unbelievable.

Highly recommend! I have been coming to Jimmy and Expert Auto for 2 years now. As someone who doesn't know much about cars and who has also been taken advantage of from Valvoline and other places, I was hesitant to find a mechanic who I could trust. I have had many problems with my car because she is very old and each time I have brought it to expert auto where they gave me accurate diagnosis and fair prices. Even when my car was no longer fixable and needed to be junked they made sure I had the information to get the best quote from a junkyard. Thank you for all your hard work to keep my 2008 running for as long as she has!

Great place to get car serviced repaired and State Inspection. Staff friendly ,respectful and tell you exactly what needs fixing. They always answer questions.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Jimmy and his great mechanics! I have been going there for a few years and my daughter and her boyfriend have brought their cars there too.When other mechanics can't find the problem, they always do.So, I guess that's why I feel a little disappointed that Jimmy has been ignoring my calls to repair my wipers, even though they were under warranty. I called for 3 weeks with no answer and he told me he was on vacation. Yet, when I called 3 times in one day and he didn't answer, I drove over there and he was there. I guess you could say I was more hurt than disappointed because that is so not like him. And it honestly wouldn't be that big a deal, except this year has been raining......no pouring, every other day, and my wipers are extremely dangerous when they stop in the middle of my windshield while driving on the highway!Anyway.......this is not a negative review by any means. I just had to vent my frustrations.

Overdue review, Jimmy and the team are fantastic. They help me with all my routine checkups and unexpected issues. Jim and his crew can be trusted. I have never come away dissatisfied and I have been a customer for over 20 years. They handle everything from changing a directional light to major repairs. Busy little shop!I came here for an inspection. I'm new to the area and struggled to find reliable places, I got scared by most of them.Jimmy is busy but kind. In and out in under an hour and there were plenty of people in front of me!I'll be bringing my car here for anything it needs!Important note: Cash only for inspections, its currently (April 2023) $35 for an inspection.Hope this helps you make a good and solid choice! :)

Easy state inspectionThis time Aug 10th 2021 , took car in for possible brake issue. They determined the brakes were fine. It was some tiny other issue. Fixed it cheap. Very honest mechanic. If I lived in this area I'd never take my car anywhere else. Honest mechanics are hard to find. These are the guys you want. Thanks gents.Service: Brakes

I have been going to Expect Auto for approximately 12 years. I can say without any hesitations that Jim s Repair Shop is the BEST! This statement is not an exaggeration. If you are like Diogenes, the famous Greek Philosopher, who was searching for an honest man stop looking for that man now! Just go to Expert Auto because Jim is that honest man. There are three words that most repair shops no longer practice. These words are honesty, integrity and respect. However, at Expert Auto those three words are always part of the customer services policy that Jim and his staff perform daily. So if you want quality work, done by a person with a huge smile on his face and save prodigious sums of Money just service your car at Expert Auto. Jim I want to thank you for the outstanding work that you and your staff has given to me in the last 12 years. Jim and his crew have been working on my multitude of cars for the past 8years. They have always been extremely honest, fair and responsive. If I lived within 100 miles of Expert I would always take my vehicles to them.

Consistently the worst customer service out of any other shop I've worked with in Winthrop.On the rare occasions that I have had to interact with Expert Auto because my go-to shop was booked and these guys are right down the street, I've had the same bad experience.They're rude, short, and treat you like you're a waste of time. I can't speak for their honesty or quality of their work but based on every interaction I've had with the guy who answers the phone, I wouldn't do business here if they worked on my cars for free.Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

I CAN'T IMAGINE KEVIN OR JIMMY BEING RUDE TO ANYONE!! THEY DO FAST INSPECTIONS FIX TIRES AS YOU WAIT. THEY HELPED ME OUT SEVERAL TIMES! I TRUST THESE GUYS!! I WILL ALWAYS GO TO EXPERT AUTO.

Thorough, efficient, honest -- and no charge if they have to refer you to another mechanic. Always explain what needs to be done, without talking down to the customer.

I used to buy tall glass bottles of Coke here in 1977 when I was a kid. This place, & its owner, Jim, actually care about customers. Don't think twice, have your car repaired here.
