Small, cozy place, easy to miss. We had a relatively straightforward repair that the dealer just couldn't be bothered with - but Chris took care of it in one day, courteous and honest, and reasonably priced.

After a previous bad experience with another auto repair shop in the area, I decided to give Christopher's a try. I was not disappointed in the slightest and walked out of there wishing I had gone there in the first place. I went to shop needing a new tire after hitting a pothole that left a large bubble on the sidewall. Luckily I had tire insurance but it involved Chris needing to go the extra mile by communicating with the tire insurance company in order for it to be covered and free of charge to me. On top of that Chris was extremely accommodating with my schedule to get the work done in a timely fashion that was of no obligation to me. Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere else for my future needs and I highly recommend this shop to anyone.

These guys are amazing! My car was dead/stuck in my driveway after the barrage of winter storms. Not only did they come to my house to get the car started they also took it with them to the garage. Something AAA couldn't manage to figure out!They took great care of my car and got everything fixed for an incredibly reasonable price. He even suggested things I should look out for in the future since my car is over 100K miles.To top it all off Chris took my car to get inspected because I had a rejected sticker! I never would have expected them to go above and beyond in the ways they didCustomer for life. And I will be telling anyone who will listen how great these guys are.Thanks!

I have been bringing my cars and my daughter's cars to Chris for 15 years. Since being his customer, I have become disable and now drive a very expensive handicap van. Chris will try and get it fixed quickly so that I am not without transportation for my medical appointments, and goes through it like a fine tooth comb for my safety. Chris is a caring, honest and very fair mechanic, I can't say enough about him, plus he is active in his town of Winthrop also, and goes above and beyond.I know when I get my van back, it's safe to drive, I trust him totally.........Josie from Revere

No one answers the phone. I stopped by on Thursday to see if I could get a leaky tire checked out. I was told return at exactly 830am on friday. I was there at 825am and waited until 905am. Not a soul was in this place. Very unprofessional and clearly no respect for peoples time. I went to Woodies in everett

Absolutely hands down the best auto shop I have ever done business with. Chris is honest and stands by his work. I ve been going there for a few years since I moved to Winthrop and I have had only good experiences. I will never go anywhere else.

I recently moved to Winthrop from downtown Boston and have been looking for a place to service my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. When I went to my old neighborhood shop in Back Bay. Ell Bern Service, to get a headlight bulb changed, they told me my brakes needed to be replaced and that it would cost around $450 for the rear brakes plus another $250 for a rear caliper that needed to be replaced. I decided to wait since my Fiance and I were buying a home in Winthrop and we were cash strapped.This week I called Christopher's and spoke to the proprietor, who quoted me significantly less than what Ell Bern had quoted me for the rear brakes and the caliper replacement. I said great, go head and do the work, and perform an oil change while you're at it.Expecting a $500+ bill, I arrive and Christopher charged me $35, just for the oil change. He said he inspected my brakes and I had just under 50% pads left, which did not need to be replaced. He also said my caliper was fine and did not need to be replaced. In addition, he tighted a shield under my car that had been rattling and driving me crazy.I absolutely could not believe it -- this guy had the go-ahead to perform hundreds of dollars worth of service and I would have never known that I didn't need it. He chose to be honest and tell me the truth. He didn't even charge me for the time it took them to put my car on the lift, remove the wheels, inspect my brakes, and tighten the loose metal piece. If you ask me, he didn't charge me enough for the work he did.Honesty and integrity are qualities I truly admire in people. This guy will forever get our business and I highly recommend their service.Thank you Christopher.

Chris's Auto is a hidden gem, they are honest and fair. They will do their best to figure out your situation and work on it. I recommend anyone I know to go to them, they have been great to me.

Took my truck in knowing it needed a ton of work to pass inspection....was done in a day and for much less that I was expecting. The most honest mechanic I've ever delt with...you won't find a better auto repair shop in the area!!
