Wow! Never in my life have I gone to a shop and the people were so nice and honest! Anthony gave it to me straight! I got my transmission serviced today and my truck came back clean no oil on the steering wheel no mud on the inside. Anthony took the time to explain everything his awesome crew did .they were far and honest with the price .If I could give them 10 stars I would!!! Thank you Anthony and crew. I will definitely get my truck serviced there for now on!! GREAT SERVICE!!!!Thank you!

Very courteous, honest, and thorough service to address issues with my 2008 Volvo XC 70. Anthony facilitated every detail with care and transparency. The service technician (I'm sorry I forget his name) even had me go for a drive with him to see if I could recreate the sounds that were concerning me. Everything came out great and I trust them moving forward with any repairs that are needed.

400 flawless miles on a totally rebuilt transmission. Not only was the job done in a reasonable time but customer service was bar none. Friendly and on point to let me know progress. Highly recommended for all transmission service and repair

Angelo, Gil and their crew are amazing! My check engine light has been on and was showing a transmission code. I chose to have Angelo and his team figure out the problem and fix it because I truly trust him. The work was done quickly, at a very reasonable rate and my disgusting car was even vacuumed! Gil stated late on a Friday until I could get a ride after the work was done, so that I wouldn't be without a car all weekend. I am so relieved and thankful!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!!! they told me I needed a new transmission and that I shouldn't be driving my car and here I am 3 years later still driving it with the same transmission!!! I went somewhere else for a second opinion and they told me no transmission codes show up. They tried to get one by me! Be careful people!!! Don't let them fool youUPDATE: They responded to my review with more lies. The guy at the front desk told me specifically that transmission codes came up and even wrote them down and showed them to me! I told him I needed some time to think about getting work done from them because it was a lot of money. He then Told me I shouldn't drive it too far. Angelo is saying this never happened, but he's not the one who had this conversation with me while I was there.Another update: a phone call between the two of us is not going to inform the people of your bad business. It has nothing to do with being "mature " and I'm not hiding behind a computer. You just don't want honest bad reviews posted about your business. I don't write reviews just to write reviews. I just want the people who have no idea about cars being fooled into paying for something they don't need!

A relative needed a rebuilt transmission and Gil took great care of us. Excellent customer service and turned the job around in less than a week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I want to thank Angelo, Gil, and the crew at Aamco, Wilmington, for their service to my truck transmission problem. I live out of state and needed service. They were very prompt to diagnose and solve the problem. And I want to express my appreciation for their courtesy, respect, their understanding of my position, and friendliness of all. I had to have my transmission rebuilt on my car, and these guys did a fantastic job. No more stuttering and a smoth ride. Very friendly and have a sense of urgency when it comes to getting your car back in your hands ASAP. I would recommend anyone to this shop.

I will never come back here again, had work done on my car. It was not tested properly and needed to come back because my engine light comes on and my car is unsafe to drive. Was TURNED AWAY even though they messed up.Unprofessional, incompetent and certainly unacceptable. If you pay for a service you shouldn t have to go through hoops to get what you paid for. *** updated responseInteresting point of view as to what occurred, from someone who has something to lose when a customer has a complaint..Your rendition of what occurred this morning is not only false but appalling, and of course I was upset I paid for a service that was told the car was tested when it clearly was not.I also understand that it was a difficult day. It was also a difficult day for myself, but I did not disrespect anyone nor did I grab my keys from anyone? I was told to come get my keys at which point an existing/ex customer exited the premises and left unsatisfied underappreciated and upset. So instead of trying to backtrack on my review, why don t you try to treat your existing customers better

I have brought my car to the team at the Wilmington aamco many times for maintenance over the past few years and every time they have been great about setting up timely appointments and getting the work done quickly. They are always trustworthy with what needs to get done and how much it will cost. Recently I had an electrical issue with my headlight. They found the problem, fixed it quickly and gave me a fair price! They saved me from going to a dealership like other shops had suggested I do. So happy and I will use their services in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent customer service, from Angelo being up front and honest, to Gil giving me a call at the end of the day with a status update on my car. Rarely do you get that level of customer service. And the car is running great now, very happy with the results. Highly recommended, if their services are needed again in the future, I wouldn t hesitate to call.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

what I thought was a transmission problem that would cost $$$$$ ended up being a one part fix with this wonderful staff. I was misdiagnosed at another shop and told I needed a whole new transmission and that it would be over $4000. I got a second opinion here and it was the best decision ever! They told me exactly what was wrong and explained everything in detail. It was only one part that needed to be replaced. They even went to pick up the car part personally for me when they learned that the delivery driver was out! I dropped it off on Friday and they had it ready buy Monday. They were nothing but kind and wonderful and I appreciate them from saving me from a very expensive and unneeded repair!

I have been there today to get inspection and diagnostics on my car. I contacted them last week and made an appointment but the appointment was not made. The front desk person was really rude and demeaning and disrespectful. They stated I was intentionally trying to find fault in my car, I feel they did not even wanted to conduct the inspection and wanted me to walk away with their bad attitude. It was not a pleasant experience dealing with bad behavior early in the morning. Also, I saw one person waiting on the lobby but they said I could not wait inside. They should have good staff to assist their customers.

The whole team here was great. The value of my car was close to what the transmission would have cost to repair and these guys were prompt with diagnosis, completely knowledgeable, agreeable and patient with me while I waffled over a decision. In the end but I did not go forward with service they helped me with final decision and way to wrap up my experience with my car and I am quite grateful. Thanks AAMCO Wilmington for everything! If you have been looking for a repair facility that you can fully trust and have them stand behind their work, look no further! In my 35+ years of owning 25 different vehicles and having them serviced in the various states that I have lived in, I have never seen such a friendly, professionally run shop as this one! All the way from the genuinely friendly and helpful front man Anthony, to the experienced crew of mechanics, you can be assured that you will be given the best service possible at a fair and reasonable cost. No need to look anywhere else, the best is right here in Wilmington, MA!

Great work with rebuilding my transmission on my 08 Colorado. No issues and working great! Not even a residual drip of fluid after all the work completed. While in the shop they had noticed a few other things that may cause an issue later down the line and worked with me to get them replaced while it was on the lift. Nightly updates on my truck. Anthony the manager very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

I checked my my Company Vehicle in on 11/02/21 it was completed and back on the road making money on 11/9/21.They documented all my issues I was experiencing.They diagnosed the issues the following day and had proposals ready for review & approval within 2 days.Once I reviewed them and they were authorized to repair they had it completed within 1 week.They performed the following:Rebuilt the rear differential with new bearings.Transfer case with seals & bearing.Replaced transmission cooler, lines & fluids.Replaced serpentine belt & tensioner assembly.New Fluids.Checked in with updates every other day and on Friday before the weekend.Very professional and a pleasure to talk to on the phone.Bottom line is: You knew what was being done, how much it was going to cost and when you would be getting your vehicle back.Much Appreciated!!!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I've had two different transmissions rebuilt here. Angelo, Anthony and the entire crew are nothing short of great. Their friendliness, attention to detail, communication during the process, and focus on customer satisfaction is exemplary. I heartily recommend them.

If I could give this place six stars out of five, I would do so. To say these guys were amazing would be to sell them short. Not only did they fix my car, they did a thorough examination of what my car needs done before proceeding. Anthony is amazing in recognizing what parts are needed and for getting the best prices for said parts. Would recommend to everyone

I brought my car in without an appointment on a Saturday morning and Anthony and crew were extremely helpful. They did the test drive and ran the diagnostics very soon after I arrived even though they were quite busy. Better yet, Anthony told me that I did not need a new transmission, but would need to get a motor/transmission mount replaced. He's very honest and professional, and there was no high pressure sales pitch to do the work immediately.It was a great experience to be treated so courteously and to know that I was being told the complete truth about what needed to be done to fix my car.I strongly recommend Anthony and his crew for anyone who may have a problem with their transmission.

Anthony (the service manager) was fantastic. From my original call, to picking it up, he was honest and pleasant. Didn't try gouging me for anything, I didn't need (even when I suggested it). I have an old car that I like to keep well taken care of and they fixed an oil leak that I had been told was a rear main seal ( $$$ ) and they found was something else, and fixed it for very little and cleaned up all the oil that went all over the place. They also called and made sure it was okay to proceed with anything they did, before starting any work. Will recommend to anyone.

Anthony was nothing short of awesome, thru the whole process. No surprises ,just straightforward honest communication. Our vehicle needed a lot of work , they were able to fix the issues for a good price and stand behind their work with a warranty.

Angelo was very forth coming in what needed to be done. Great customer service skills. I wish I shopped around a little more because I did find a few places that were less expensive with just as good of reviews. Only reason I din't give 5 stars is because the transmission codes are still on in my truck after a few days. It definitely worries me.

I can't say enough good things about this shop! I took my car here to get a second opinion and I'm glad I did. Anthony got me in quickly did a in-depth diagnostic and found that there was nothing wrong with the pump the other shop was trying to replace. While he admitted hybrids weren't there strong suit (which I appreciated the honesty) they searched for the problem for three hours. All I needed was a hard reset and he saved me for making a 700$ mistake! He even put my water bottle in my car after I left it in the waiting room!Honest, kind, and knowledge team! Thank you so much Anthony and AAMCO

Anthony,I would like to begin by telling you how happy I was that when I reached out in need, I found you.My car was not working and I thought it was my transmission. After dealing with roadside assistance all day, I finally was able to get my car towed to you. You couldn t have been more pleasant or accommodating on the phone. I could tell right away that I was dealing with an honest and reputable man. You did not disappoint. Every step of the way you kept me informed and let me know exactly where I stood. I couldn t have been happier with how you handled my entire situation. In the end you only made $100, but true to your word, you didn t try to sell me anything I didn t need.In a day and time where all we here about are the negative things in life, it was refreshing to find someone that has built his reputation and business on trust and honesty.
