On 3/13-3/14/2024, I had repairs done at this shop on my son's car; we paid them a total of $1732 for a bearing replacement, new tires, an alignment, new windshield wipers, and an inspection. First, they sent my son home without his hubcaps; he had to return to retrieve them. We then realized that they had never performed the inspection on his vehicle that they charged us for. We had to return to the shop and then wait an hour and a half for them to get the inspection done after they had already charged us for something they didn't do. At that point, I asked the ownerfor a refund of some kind for their negligence; they gave me $50 in cash. Last night, in a torrential downpour, my son's brand new windshield wipers (that we were told were "premium") flew off of car the first time he attempted to use them. At this point we are seriously concerned about the quality of the rest of the work that was done on this vehicle as it appears that this shop operates with a great deal of incompetence.

I cannot say enough about Spartan Auto Care Center. In fact, it is quite fitting that they have the word Care in their name.I moved here a year ago and I m about to move my elderly grandmother here from out of state. It is so wonderful to tell her that we have a place that will take care of all of her car s needs.Not only that, but they will be fair in their pricing, honest with their opinion, and they will go above all else to do the best customer service possible.It was time to change my tires over, so I made an appointment. I then asked Debbie if she could do a state inspection. And then later asked if she could alap do an oil change.Not only did they do all of these things on the same day, Debbie was kind enough to even give me a ride home so that I didn t have to sit there and wait for hours.Spartan is quite special in how they treat their customers and a lot of businesses could take note.

This Is a great company and great family. We were taken advantage of from a different repair shop and Spartan came to the rescue. They are very knowledgeable and very fair overall great to work with. Thank you They have my business from here on out and I would recommend then to everyone.

Do not go here for anything. Techs are liars. Told my buyer steering wheel pulls to the side when it is perfectly fine. Wasted 2 hours and owner did not want to verify the techs lie. Simply states they trust their tech but do not double check ti confirm they are liars to scam an alignment out of the buyer.

Those is a local, family owned business. They are incredibly polite, helpful, and fair. They always provide an honest opinion and never try to upsell or push anything unnecessary. Highly recommended.

After spending just under $4,000.00 in less than 90 days ($2100 in July and $1500.00 on 9/29/23, I was told my vehicle still needed to be seen by two other mechanics to finish the work. One that specializes in Transmissions, which makes sense as that is a specialty area, but the referral to a mechanic that can do brakes is baffling.I brought my vehicle in for a host of issues on 9/28/23, one of them being the front right brake pad was rattling around because a family member had done the brakes, but on the front right brake, they forgot to put the metal clips in to hold the brake pad in place. Thus, the front right brake pad rattles around when going over bumps and general driving. I requested that this be fixed and left the metal caliper clips to the right front brake. There would be no better place to have a terrible brake job fixed than a mechanic who advertises they are brake specialists, so I thought.When Discussing the $ 1,500 worth of various work to be done with the mechanic, I was told Spartan is not willing to fix the brake issue because I disclosed that someone else had worked on it and there would be legal ramifications if they attempted to work on something someone else did at home. I was told �bring it to the person who started the brake job and have him finish�. This comment was not appreciated, to say the least. I obviously am not going to bring my car back to someone who did a terrible job on my brakes; that's why I ended up going to a mechanic to get it fixed! So basically, when the mechanic tells me �have the person who started the job finish�" what they are REALLY saying is to go to another mechanic or to take my business elsewhere. I wasn't asking this be done for free, nor did I demand they use the parts I left, I just wanted the single brake to be fixed, and all it would take to fix it would be to install calipher clips so the brake doesn't rattle.I found it so disappointing and insulting that after spending $3,600 within 90 days, and after the $1,500 repair on 9/29, I was driving my vehicle off the lot with the brake pad still rattling around and me needing to go to another mechanic who does brakes, which is an area Sparatin claims to be specialists in. I've been going to Spartan for under 8 years, but I felt like something other than some valued customer. I felt like I was just some ahole they prefer not to see again, or a number or dollar sign. Their solution to one of the most basic jobs was to tell me to go somewhere else.This experience left me with an overwhelming sense that Spartan doesn't really care or even want me to return as a customer. They LITERALLY suggested I bring my vehicle to someone else to complete one of the most basic of vehicle repairs, LITERALLY forcing me to go to their competitors. Business must be so good that they can refer people to their competition, and it appears if, after massive repairs, a customer drives a car out of their shop only to have to spend more time and money at another shop to finish the job, that that is acceptable business practices. (I understand in the case of the transmission).I am a 24/7 single dad. Having to arrange rides, borrow cars, and all the nonsense of having your car in the shop is frustrating. Having to do it multiple times because of a single brake pad is very frustrating and so disrespectful to my daughter's time and mine.If I had said �there is noise with the front right brake," and left it at that, they MAY have fixed it; I don't really know at this point. It's a shame because they do good work, but there is no way I will step foot in a shop that completes massive and expensive repairs only to tell me to go see their competition to finish the most basic of jobs OR to bring it to the guy who did such poor work, I had to bring it to a �shop� to get fixed. It's disrespectful on many levels.I appreciate Spartan granting an exception and applying a $5 off coupon to my $1500.00 purchase.

The flex pipe went on our car and Spartan had been a great help in the past for brakes, mufflers and general repairs. So,it was a no brainer where to go!Whether it was just dumb luck or divine intervention, we were taken right in and Craig took a look at our vehicle and came up with a solution that was sensible and economical. A couple hours later we were rolling down the road, our vehicle was nice and quiet and we weren't singing the blues about a potentially costly repair.Thank you Craig and team for a great experience!

Fantastic work. No frills. Honesty. They work around your schedule. They have my business going forward for any auto needs.Edit: still coming back here. They fixed a cylinder coil issue in a VW Tiguan that no one else could and told me exactly how to prevent it from coming back. As long as I live in Pioneer Valley I will never go see another mechanic again.

I went there hoping to purchase some pipes and really hoping they would be able to bend them to my specifications. They were very friendly and helpful. The owner himself took care of what I needed done. I very much appreciate the way I was treated and would definitely recommend this place of business.

Spartain is a awesome auto repair shop. They explain what is wrong and work with you to get it fixed. I always bring my car to spartain , because I trust them. Everything is backed under warranty .Thanks for everything you do.

What a fantastic experience at Spartan! I m always so hesitant to bring my car in for service but not anymore - a truly trustworthy company. Also incredibly kid friendly, they had toys for my two small children to play with while we waited. Integrity and honesty are in short supply in most auto repair businesses, not so here. I was expecting a good experience and wasn't disappointed. My car was examined carefully, areas of concern were identified and divided into "needs to be done now" and "can wait" which helped me make an informed decision. I have been here in the past and will come back for all my brake & muffler maintenance. Thanks to the friendly, talented team here for great work, fair prices and a great experience!Highly recommended +++++

I love Spartan, always get unbelievable service. I always used Spartan to take care of my car but then I moved near Boston.I had to use other service centers and tried but never found a good replacement for the service I receive at Spartan. Greg the owner is excellent.Happy to say I'm back to using Spartan now and will be back agin in the future. If you want a reliable shop to bring your car bring it to Spartan. Hands down the best service center around Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

I brought to them a Honda pickup for pre-owned inspection before buying it. Greg did an amazing job in explaining all things that were in good, bad ugly condition. The repair quotes he gave helped me knock down significant amount of the already intial accepted offer on a private sale.The price he charged for inspection was very reasonable. I am very happy customer.

Great family owned and operated auto Care center, very knowledgeable and certified mechanics, prompt service, and they will always inform you by telephone what they diagnosed and the cost before they repair your vehicle so there is never any surprise bill when you arrive. If your vehicle is going to take a day or so to repair, they help with getting you where you need to go, if available, they provide you with a vehicle to drive or go out of their way to give you a lift to your destination. Awesome people!!!

My car broke down in Springfield and was towed to Spartan Auto. While this wasn't a place I picked I felt I was in great hands! The owner, Greg, was extremely communicative and friendly. He explained everything and was very patient. He was flexible about picking up the car and made the entire experience, which could have been very stressful, very easy. The facility is also very clean and everyone I spoke to there was helpful. I think his prices are very fair. Would recommend if you are in the Springfield area!

Greg and his team at Spartan are incredible. I got out of work at 4:30 pm and realized I had a nail in my tire. The body shop closes at 5:00 pm and they stayed to plug my tire because they knew I travel for work. I was stressed about how I was going to travel over an hour with a leak but the Spartan team took care of me and turned my day around within minutes. I recommend them for any service you might need!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

These guys are outstanding. I had to bring my car in for brake service and they were extremely helpful in explaining what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. I actually got to walk out and see the old breaks and Greg walked me through what was needed and some optional things that would help. I was going to wait for it to get done, but instead they offered to give me a ride to/from my house so I didn't have to sit around. Outstanding service and I'm definately going back.

Spartan is an AAA Approved Repair Shop where I went for the FREE AAA Spring Car Care wheels-off brake inspection, suspension system inspection, tire check, and tire rotation (if needed). I was so impressed by the friendliness, professionalism, and cleanliness of this family-owned business. It was a pleasure being in the sparkling waiting room able to watch the workmen through a glass window and having access to their WiFi.

We went to Spartan in Wilbraham on Saturday. The owner was manning the counter. Very polite, courteous and professional. Very clean customer lounge - coffee, tea and candy. Reasonable prices and they gave us a $5 coupon for our next visit.Definitely a level above the shady Jiffy Lube and Munro Muffler.

I just want to say the owner Greg isn t some guy who slaps his name on the business cards and forgets about the shop, I came in with a my mid pipe unbolted from the headers. I knew it wasn t going to be a hard fix but Greg realigned the whole exhaust and that s exactly what I wanted. The shop is reasonably priced he did almost two hours of work tac welding, realigning, etc for $160. Even though there are Chevy signs everywhere and he worked on a Mustang it s definitely worth the time and the money.Blue 3.7L from Palmer
