Mac's has a top rated mechanic on duty for all your repair needs. The crew there is wonderful and move as quickly as they possibly can. When a repair needs more time or attention they are willing to spend tge tine needed to remedy any situation. Highly recommend Mac's Auto Repair to anyone in the Webster area.

My car has been sitting at macs for a week now outside for a simple exhaust issue. I've had to contact them every time to find out the deal on what should be a quick in and out. Being told that I could get seen on short notice, I decided to bring it there. Which was not the case.Now we're getting the run around on back order parts...only to research auto parts stores in webster to find each of them have the exact parts I need...under cost of being charged at macs.Stay far, far away from this one folks. If you need an oil change or tire rotation, yeah sure. Bring it to mac's. Otherwise you're going to have your car sit there.I can't wait to see all the new issues that await me when I go pick up my car.

Recently brought my car to MAC'S because of an oil leak. This ended up being an unexpected costly repair. Skip was great communicating with updates on how things were coming along, which I really appreciate. One thing I'd like to mention is that my engine cover got damaged in the process and although the mechanic working on my car did not notify Skip of the damage, and I discovered it on my own, Skip came through for me. I had called the shop right away to report the damage and before Skip even called me back, first thing the very next morning, he already had a new cover ordered! All I can say is wow, thank you! In my experience there are not alot of repair shops that own up to things like this and just leave the customer left holding the bag, your word against theirs, right? Well, I'm happy to say that MAC'S certainly has alot of integrity. Thank you for taking care of this.I would recommend MAC'S Auto to anyone.

Brought my truck to mac's for the first time. This was a major job, all new front end, brakes, hubs,new motor. It was a lot of money but pretty reasonable for the size of the project. Most shops wouldn't attempt a job like this today, they just do simple maintenance. Mac's took it on and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone

I dropped off the vehicle a day early. Macs auto was more than happy to receive it. They analyzed the issues, kept me well informed via a phone call not a text or chat. That makes it personal. The price was more than fair for the amount of work that my truck needed and when it was ready I didn't have to ask them. This was the first time I used Mac s for auto repairs/maintenance and I won t use anyone else now. They were very professional and honest. Yes, honest! I was told by the Honda dealer that both rear calipers needed to be replaced. I brought my car to Mac s for a second opinion and I m so glad I did. The tech at Mac s stated they didn t need to be replaced. I explained what Honda told me so he double checked and still said no, they didn t need to be replaced. I was in need of 4 struts and springs. I had a quote from a local chain garage and wanted to validate it. I went to Mac's and they came in 23% lower than the chain. Dropped my car off and 7 hours later it was repaired. New Loaded Struts, sway bars and all wheel alignment completed. Car floats beautifully. Almost forgot, my 2011 Toyota Camry, 215,780 miles, feels new agin

I have been going to Mac s auto repair and meeting with skip and his team for over 5 years now and multiple vehicles and they always give an honest and fair evaluation of your vehicle. They have completed many repairs on my company vehicles quickly and at a fair price. I had a persistent problem with my new auto. For some reason a tire had worn out in less than 17k miles on a brand-new vehicle. I spoke with the owner, who setup an appointment. He took a look and pinpoint the problem. Like a surgeon, he fixed. Not spending more than I needed, I was happy. I plan to bring other vehicles that I have to him. Alec was great. Had front wheel bearing, alignment, rear brakes, rear struts, control arm, and rear e-brake fixed. Rotated tires. For the amount of work that was done, I thought price was fair. Most importantly, I didn't have to go back for issues. He quote me high in case but in the end was cheaper than what was quoted. Mac is also great. I had a dispute a few years ago and Mac fixed the issue. So been lucky so far....Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

Went there to get an inspection sticker came out with over 5 car problems and now my car is shaking uncontrollably idle (didn t even have a little shake when I went there) will never go back and recommend looking else where even if just for an inspection sticker!

Arranged an appointment one week ahead for a standard brake service. Dropped off my car at 7am that morning as requested.Had to call them around 2pm because he claimed he was too busy too call me. Gave me a list of problems with the car and said if I wanted it fixed, then it may be ready the following day.Most of the problems were existing but there were some strange new exhaust problems. Quoted an outrageous price that was rejected.Told us he would call when he was ready to give our car back. We decided to go there immediately. We waited for about thirty minutes and paid his fifty dollar diagnostic fee.We only wanted our car back and not to make scene, but he insisted on giving us his opinions. We asked why it was taking so long as we only came in for front brakes. He claimed that it is their standard practice to remove and check the shocks. In the end, we wasted time and money going to Mac's Auto in Webster, Ma.In my own opinion, I would be very careful when taking your new or used car to this place. Although we brought in an older car, he could have informed us that he did not want to work on it when scheduling an appointment.Service: Brakes

I'm very confused by how many negative remarks there are about Skip. So far I've been to Mac's twice and have had nothing but good interactions with Skip. It's easy to write a bad review. The gentleman who runs the shop I believe has glasses. Well known to his customers. He failed me for obvious reasons and I had it fixed immediately. Came back and he found an exhaust leak that had the potential for getting my family sick. I was angry at first saying things I did not mean. He walked me through the problem and pointed out the issue. It took me a few days to get it welded. I noticed that I was getting head aches and feeling dizzy. I appreciated the education on the problem and honestly if he passed me like other shops have in the past who knows what would have happened if I passed out behind the wheel. THANK YOU!!!!

I went to Mac's to get my brakes done. I was told I could get a AAA discount off the labor cost, however, was not informed that I would have to pick up my car and pay during normal business hours. I had told them I would be dropping off my car before and picking it up after normal business hours. Also when I picked up my vehicle, the contents of my glove box were all over my car. The mechanic had riffled through my glove box without my permission. Supposedly to get my VIN number which could have been taken off of the door. Not trustworthy.
