Watch out for these guys. If you're going to purchase a vehicle from them make sure that you have it looked at by an independent mechanic. I bought a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis from this place and when I went to take it for an inspection it failed. All four tires were dry rotted, both front strut assemblies were broken, and there were holes in both side rocker panels. Thankfully I know the law and under the lemon law a dealership can't sell a used car if it won't pass a state inspection sticker within so many days. I believe it's 7. So after bringing it to my mechanic for an inspection and seeing it fail for so many things, I contacted Wayland Auto and told them what was wrong with it. They did agree to fix everything that was wrong with it, but that's not the point, the point is they never should have sold it in the first place. With that being said they did come and pick it up and "fixed" it free of charge. When I came and picked up the vehicle I noticed that the front bumper had a huge scrape in it and the paint was falling off. Like someone drove the car into the back of another car. When I brought it to their attention they said that it was like that when I bought the car. Luckily I had taken pictures of the car before they picked it up to "fix" it that showed there was no damage. They said they would fix it but I would have to leave the car with them. I decided not to have them fix it and told them to just give me $200, which they did. After they "fixed" the car I brought it back to get it re-inspected, and low and behold it failed again, because they only fixed one of the front strut assemblies and not both of them. At this point I have owned the car for almost 2 months now and haven't been able to drive it because it doesn't have a state inspection sticker. So I called them up while I was at my mechanic and told them what was going on. They said they would fix it but I had to bring the car back to them. I told them I wasn't going to do that and that they will pay my mechanic to fix the issue so I can get my inspection sticker. After a few back and forth they agreed to pay my mechanic to fix the strut assembly that they didn't. So now, 2 months later I'm able to drive my car legally. Never in my life have I had such a horrible experience with buying a car from a dealership and mind you I paid cash for this vehicle, I didn't finance it, I paid them almost $8000 in cash for it. So just be careful dealing with this place. And if you do buy a vehicle from them have it checked out before handing them any money.

I had a fantastic experience with Wayland Automotive recently. My car got into a small front end accident and they were able to alleviate my concerns about repairing the damage. They were efficient and as always professional in their delivery of service and customer experience. I would highly recommend them. Dr Paul K..

Just bought a used car here and traded mine in. Elias is the salesman and is a fair dealer. He was very reasonable with the price of the car he was selling and the one I was trading. He set everything up for me (registration, inspection etc) so it was a smooth process. Would definitely recommend.

I've had only good experiences here: quick car service, fair prices, and good work. I recently brought in my car with a quickly-deflating tire. They removed a nail, patched the tire, returned the car to me within an hour, and declined to receive payment! That's what I call a good neighbor.

We had a problem with our clutch but the clutch was relatively new. We were quoted $1200 for a car that was worth $300 (Ford Escort). The clutch had been replaced not so many years ago, maybe 4, so it was odd. It turns out it was the slave cylinder that went bad. The symptom was a clutch pedal that depressed without engaging the clutch. The mechanic replaced the clutch, master and slave cylinders and I was charged an additional $400 because the work was 'difficult'. The shop is not honest. I would stay away.

Every time I go, they are always so unfriendly to the point of being downright rude. I don't know how good their skills are, but since it's a service industry, I think they need to think about how to communicate with customers.

Have officially dumped more money into the car in a year then I originally paid for it. An absolute junk of a car they sold me.

I had a great experience at Wayland Automotive. I brought my truck in with 4 separate issues which were quickly diagnosed. Omar kept me informed through the whole process, and was very upfront about part and labor costs. My truck is running better than it has in a long time. Everything was done quickly and correctly. I will definitely be coming back, and also recommending friends and family.

I checked the pricing on the parts they stated I needed. they got upset that someone would question their prices and refused to work on my truck. Not sure why they would get so upset unless there was something shady going. the owner told the work was too complicated for them.Be Very Careful when dealing with them.

Buyer beware: I took a full-size spare tire here to get a new, basic steel rim a few months back. They could not find a rim of the right size and called to tell me so. Due to a family emergency it took me a month or so to come pick up the tire. When I tried, I discovered that they had thrown the tire away. They had not called to tell me that they were going to do that. The tire was a perfectly good spare. That was bad enough. When I discovered this, I acted very surprised. One of the main workers looked straight at me and just shrugged his shoulders like he could care less. I became visibly irritated and eventually was directed to call the owner. I met him a few days later and he committed to find me a new spare tire. After several check-ins over the course of a month, and continued assurances that a tire would be found, I gave up. This is not a hard tire to find, I m out at at least $100 plus my time.I do not see how I could trust this shop with anything more complicated, which is basically just ... anything.[Reply to their reply: There was ZERO miscommunication. I spoke to Eli in person and on the phone several times.]

Great recent experience buying a car this past December. Eli was great and very accommodating. The car we bought was a surprise for my husband, and Eli went over and above to make sure the surprise stayed that way! Thanks to Omar and Eli, we are always happy to give Wayland Auto our service business on all 3 of our cars.

I don't blame any of the negative reviewers here for the service they received. I was at this place when my cars annual state inspection was due and they failed me for an exhaust muffler just like Jesse here. I'm local and I try to support local businesses as much as I can but it's so sad that some places like these try to take advantage of you being nice to them. Later I took my car to a different garage for a re inspection and after 15 minutes I had a valid inspection sticker on my car. Now not only I don't stop here for auto service but also I avoid them for any gas.

Overall experience is great. Excellent vehicles low miles great value. Owner could have been a little more easy going to make a transaction smoother but again I was happy with my purchase so far.

This is a great full service gas station. They have kept our 11 year old van on the road. They have installed new brakes, done annual inspections, oil changes, new battery, whatever is needed over the years. They are a trusted service provider.

I bought an older Subaru from Elias at Wayland Automotive . From the second I called he made it an easy experience. He really went above and beyond by doing things like following up with my questions quickly, driving to me to do some paperwork to save the money on an Uber. After i bought the car it had a issue with the car shutting off. I didn't know it was an easy fix! I don't know much about cars but Elias told me he would sort it out ASAP. He delivered! He was able to save the day and help me reconnect the air intake that had simply slipped off. I was on my way in 20 minutes. Thank you!

I had Subaru and had them do the lower control arm and CV Axle. The initial quote was $600. And then I got a call from them who said that I messed up other parts as I try to fix control arm myself. They told me that I need a new knuckle. I said go ahead. And then I got a call again a couple of hours later and this time it was a new hub I need. I thought it was weird, but since I did not have any other option and needed car right away, I said go ahead. Now the cost jumped from $600 to $1400. I truly thought that I did some damage trying to fix in on my own. I paid the price with tears and picked up the car, and asked for the damaged parts as a souvenir.I did not notice when I picked up the car since I was beside myself. Later, I looked more carefully the part and saw that they broke the pin bolt (Subaru has this notorious bolt in their ball joint), which I did not touch at all. It was very clear that they broke the bolt and needed a new knuckle. Rather than admitting that they broke it, they accused me of damaging it since I said I tried to fix control arm myself. But, I did not try to loosen the bolt. Someone lied. They broke the bolt, and they charged me for their mistake. They thought that I don' t know anything about the car, but they did not know that I have eyes and can see things better once I calmed down. They also made a big mistake and damaged, destroyed passenger side CV Axle and replaced it. But they did not charge me for that, which is good. But the guy did not tell me about this until I saw it in the receipt that they got a new CV Axle and did not charge for that. They don't tell you everything. They broke the pin bolt, and made me pay for that. I debated whether or not I confront them about this, but I knew that they would keep saying that I was the one who did it, not them. It would be my words against their words, but God knows who did it. The best lesson I got is, I should stay AWAY from them. You too!!!!

After 2 months of research and being disappointed when I had the car checked out after driving to what seemed like "good/great deals", I just bought a Honda Civic from Wayland Automotive (Eli and Elias) for my daughter yesterday. The price was very competitive (and I am a bargain hunter to my core). In addition, after I had the car checked at Honda dealership (always a must to have it checked somewhere before you buy used), they fixed everything Honda recommended (minor repairs) without increasing the price (and I had it rechecked at Honda). No hassle. No phone calls. No high pressure. Competitive pricing with good service. Would go back again and recommend to friends without reservation.

I specifically waited to write this review, almost a year after I purchased my GMC truck from Wayland Auto. I needed a simple, weekend work truck to help me move things around, that was dependable, wasn't going to go to the shop every month and had low miles. I own properties and do alot of work myself.March 2017 I purchased a truck from here, working with Rich. He gave me a fair price, promised to fix a few things and was quite on time with everything. Before i took the truck home, I had them fix 5 things, fairly minor. While 4 things were address, one problem kept coming back up. After working with his shop for about 2 weeks, they weren't able to fix it. Rich was very fair and wrote me a check for the work my mechanic had done on the truck to have it pass inspection and work correctly. My mechanics words exactly " i would personally buy and drive this truck, all you need is a few tune up in here and i wont see you again". I stop by occasionally to say hi, no need to have them do work.Almost a year after having the truck, there has not been any issues with it,drives perfectly fine and has driven over 10K miles, in harsh conditions. 4X4 works perfectly, something that most trucks fail quick. Turns on every single time and does what its supposed to.I waited before writing this to ensure i didn't buy a lemon from these guys.Rich is fair with his prices, will help you out and is true to his word. Honestly one of the best car buying experiences ive had.
