The staff were helpful and the work was great but I will not be using the online booking system again. I booked an appointment for a Saturday to get my rear brakes done after driving on grinding brakes for a week, I could not come in during the week due to my work schedule. I had my car information in the system when I booked so I didn t think that them getting the parts would be an issue but I walked in to drop off my car and I was informed that they might not be able to perform the service since they probably didn t have the parts and the store to buy the parts were closed. This seems preventable since I had input my car information in the online booking system when I had made the appointment 3-4 days before I showed up but there is a disconnect between the online booking portal and the mechanics. Luckily they were able to find stock they already had to do my brakes but if they did not like the man at the desk assumed I would have risked driving another week on bad brakes or I would have had to take off work.

Owner is terrible human being. I was stuck in a snow storm with a flat tire and this guy quoted me at at 160 total for one tire. When i decided to get two, the invoice for the tires was listed at over 200 dollars apiece and my total was 360 for 2 tires. This guy is rude every time i called. Dont waste your time here

Came in to buy new tires and get an alignment, friendly staff with good service and reasonable prices. All done within a decent amount of time that worked for me.Would recommend for your tire needs.

The guy at the front desk was soo rude and arrogant. Will never return. Told me I "had to leave my car" and he wouldn't book a time for me to come in. Extremely confrontational. I was appalled at such nasty communication. Ended up cancelling my appt.

The front desk guy was very rude and made no effort to actually do the work on my car. Said he wouldn't be able to get a part since my car is older yet I took it across the street to Sullivan Tires, they fixed it within 3 days and had no issue getting the part. Don't waste your time here

Had new tires mounted, balanced, with new tire presser sensor's installed and a wheel alignment.Could not have gone better.With a price that could not be beet.Thanks guys!

Had a wonderful experience at this Monro Muffler recently! I blew out my tire and after AAA put on my spare, I took it here after another Monro location was unexpectedly closed. Within 10 minutes of me being there, Tom had one of his guys go get the tire I needed replaced in the next town over. Great and fast service. Everyone there works really hard and are professional. I appreciate the time Tom and his guys took to help me get everything I needed safely and quickly. Thank you Monro Muffler Waltham!

Great place. We got a flat tire on Labor Day while visiting from New Jersey. AAA put on the spare at our hotel. Most tire shops were closed, but I called and they were open. Gene was very nice, got me right in and patched the tire. Fast service on a holiday and a great price. Highly recommend.

Tom is awesome. He is helpful. He explained and showed me about my car exhaust situation. He gave me invoice and estimate, hiding nothing. The exhaust got a hole gushing out gas fumes and making loud sound. He has comfortable sitting place. His mechanic Maxwell is also very good. He has confidence in his work. I highly recommend this place for all vehicles work that can be done there. Many good mechanic may know the work but only very few may have this kind of customer service. We the customers need a good customer service besides just repairs and charges. Thank you Tom.

We were visiting from MD and got a nail in our tire the day before the 8 hour drive home that was unable to be patched. Finally tracked down a replacement tire (strange size) but they could not mount and balance it for us. Purchased the tire flat out and called Monro (after multiple places told us they didn't have time) they assured us they would squeeze us in. Not only that, they had it done in 30 minutes for a great price! Super accommodating and even gave us some reccomendations for a safe ride back to Maryland. Highly reccomend!

Tom, Gene, and Maxo are some of the most honest and straight forward people that I have ever encountered. They understand my need for a safe vehicle without breaking the bank.I brought my 07 Sequioa to the dealer and I got a price of over $3000 to repair brakes on the vehicle. I brought it to Monro in Waltham and the same work was done in 1 day for $1300.00. Oil changes are done timely without all the needless extras that all those other oil change places do all the time.This is a store that I recommend highly to people I know and work with. Everyone that has gone there has been more than satisfied and happy

long time customer over 10+ years. The quality of workmanship has been up and down due to new mechanic joined to the shop. Most recent visit I was lucky to have the best one because I arrived first early morning.Pros: Reasonable rate after discount, Life time warrant on brake padCons: You never know which mechanic will take care of your car.Manager Tom is very knowledgeable and honest.

I am so glad everyone in the reviews seems to have had fantastic service but that was absolutely not my experience and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I ll detail my call as well as I can remember it with snippets just put together for brevity. Hi if I tell you my car make model and year will you be able to see if we can get the tires replaced for me . Immediately rude spiel I don t understand what you re saying I don t even know what you re asking I need the car make and model and year and I need to see the tires to see if we can patch them up . So I respond I don t think these are patchable I just think they need to be replaced . Rudely responds to the effect of I need the tire size . So I am keeping my cool and and say something like Sir I am just asking you what information you need from me to see if this is something you can do I don t understand what the issue is and then he repeats exactly what he said previously which I am already trying to do and has the audacity to tell me to calm down when he is the one being rude (I didn t raise my voice, I was not snappy). I m semi-stranded (really my car is) on a Saturday and refuse to give my money to someone like this. Maybe it s because I am a woman like someone else said but that was atrocious so I told him you know what thanks but no have a good holiday.

Worst service I ever had in last few years. I'm having whistling noise as soon as I leave the store after oil change and tire rotation. I returned to the store next morning with an appointment so that they can't tell me they are busy. Yet, the front desk guy start blaming this and that without having a test drive even after waiting an hour. I'm, never ever going there, once you paid off, then they don't care about the quality of the service you received.

Terrific and fast service at Monro Auto Service and Tire Center in Waltham by Gene. I had an emergency flat tire in the late afternoon and had to get to Maine from Boston by the evening. Gene and his crew were able to quickly identify whether the tire was salvageable or not (it was not) and ensure the proper replacement tire was used. In addition, Gene took the time to research and use my hazard insurance as I had just bought tires from Monro last Fall. I made it to Maine with time to spare. Thank you, Gene!

Tom and his team provide great customer service. Unfortunately my car required a lot of work and 2 visits to Monro in Waltham. My car cost me much more than I was hoping it would; however, I find Monro always offers fair & competitive prices. My Honda is 15 years old so unfortunately it is just normal wear & tear as a result of owning a car for that long. Tom was very up front and honest with me, and he even took the time to show me what was wrong with my car to help me gain a better understanding of the work his team was performing. I have been going to Monro in Waltham for years now, and I have to say neither Tom nor anyone else on his team has ever steered me wrong. Unlike some of the other repair shops in the area, Monro in Waltham has earned my trust and I go to them with almost all of my vehicle needs. I believe Tom gives me the same advice he gives his own children. I definitely recommend Monro in Waltham to others.

I went in to have my tire checked in as Sullivan Tire across the street could not touch my BMW for some odd reason. Tom was awesome and told me up front the different options and potential costs. He told me it would take a few hours until he could get to my car, but within an hour and a half Tom had reached out and was able to patch my tire. I felt comfortable and that Tom was not going to try to weasel more money out of me. I highly recommend Tom and his associates. Monro will be my first stop next time I need a tire patch or anything car related.

The man who attends is very disrespectful. If you are a woman, he doesn't treat you well and even less if you are a woman from another country. I felt very discriminated against. He was rude to me. We women are not usually car experts, but we deserve respect. Every human being deserves respect.My husband even wanted to talk to him on his cell phone to ask him something about the service and he responded to me with a sarcastic joke as if I didn't understand. I told him to give me back my key so I could leave.

Awesome experience! Would highly recommend. Honest, friendly, knowledgeable and quick service. Saved me from unnecessary work that another local mechanic had recommended.We recent moved to the area from Maryland and have been looking for our go to auto service center. Before coming to Monro Auto, we went to a local mechanic with descent reviews that is located a few blocks from our house as I needed an oil change. The other auto center called after finishing my oil change with a list of four or five recommendations for having more work done to my car. When I told them I wanted some time to think it over and compare rates before having any work done, they agreed but insisted that I needed to get my front brakes changed. I was surprised by this as my car is relatively new and well serviced. My fianc� s father works on cars and had personally changed my back brakes a few months prior and the front brakes looked fine at that time. We weren t overall impressed with the service and questionable recommendations, so we decided to go to Monro for my brakes.My fianc� called Monro and was able to set up an appointment for the next day, he said the guy on the phone was great. They were super friendly when we dropped off the car, provided us with an estimate, and explained what they would be doing. Shortly after they called me a little confused, explaining that they had taken a look at my front brakes and they were not even halfway worn down. At this point, I hadn t even told them about my questionable experience with the other auto shop. They explained in depth their findings, how they came to those conclusions, and their recommendation. They were happy to still replace the brakes if that s what I wanted, but were confident that this wasn t necessary. We decided ultimately to forego the brake replacement as the pads were in fine condition. When we went back to pick up my car, they even took the time to show us an example of parts and how they measure the pads and where mine had been measuring. It would have been extremely easy for them to have just replaced my brakes and been on their way and I never would have known the difference, their honesty is something I value.Thank you Monro for your honest and trustworthy work! You saved me hundreds of dollars that would have gone to unnecessary work. We will be coming back for any future needs.

Love this place. They got me in for my tires immediately. Explained clearly what I should be looking for and presented options. Very prompt service, good value and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Service manager Dale up-charged me on all services. Didn't bleed the brakes or change the brake fluid. Brakes looked good but lasted 3 months only to start rusting and squealing. Rotors rusted within 3 weeks. Now I have to pay double at the dealership for the same service

They fit me in for an oil change when I called on a busy day and everything was done quickly! When I asked about a problem my car was having the manager figured it out pretty easily and fixed it. Definitely a better experience than the quick service places that try to up sell you on so many things. I ll definitely be back!

The quality of work is suspect. The location is busy, but the work is not taken seriously. The staff is not courteous or professional. Quality parts are not installed and for the same work, if you happen to meet 2 different on duty managers, each will in most likelihood give you a different quote which can potentially differ by 60-70%. I urge others when they search the location to write reviews so that the corporate headquarters senses the need to evaluate and train employees on professionalism, courtesy and integrity. I got my brakes done on another time and saw the mechanic trying to shave off the brakes as they were not the right size. I asked him what he was doing and he said that sometimes the brakes need a little sawing off..This is when I saw what he was doing and asked him WHY.

The customer service is very friendly, the mechanics know what they are doing. Never get a hard up sell even if there is an issue. They have worked with me to get the vehicle repaired at the lowest possible price. I had a Toyota Dealer quote me $1600 for emergency brake and rear brakes to be replaced, I got the same work done at this place for $650 and have not had an issue since.

Great attention. I called Sullivan Auto Tires to get tires for my wife's Grand Cherokee Laredo to see if I can get them and install them the same day. Negative. I called Monro and my friend Dave/Tod (I met him that day ) and he immediately solved it! That's the way to make business. Thanks guys! My next will be my Camry 2020 Hybrid. See you later!

Quick, reliable service. Tom carefully explains what work needs to be done, optional expenses, and what will likely need to be worked on in the next year. They won't push you for unnecessary work, and regularly come under their estimate.

I came in for a quote. I got a quote on everthing but the muffler. It was odd that the company could not locate a replacement muffler for my vehicle. Otherwise they were courtious and did an inspection that resulted in a quote.
