Had a rebuilt engine installed on my 2019 Colorado. Shopped around and checked reviews. JNL did everything they promised to do at a much lower price than several local competitors. Service was outstanding. Will absolutely recommend and bring any future work here.

J & L Auto repair in waltham has been doing repairs for me for the past 2 years also for family & friends of mine at great prices!They came well recommended! They have put in batteries, starter ,alternator ,air compressor, several brake jobs, fan , catylatic converter ,ball joints , Abs sensors, steering pump and oil changes . Just to name a few. (Jeff the owner) Honest ,kind laid back guy!He always gets the cars in and out of the shop in a timely manner!Thanks guys ! Highlyrecommended five stars!

Great service for a fair price without a wait, what more can you ask for? The owner and workers here are both knowledgeable and friendly, and every time I ve needed service my car has been ready within 24 hours. A fantastic experience through and through, highly recommended

Jeff is just a genuine, honest, and fair owner. He provided transparent insight into the needs of my car and had the work done with fantastic results, in good time, at a reasonable price. I have been to many many many places and have not found someone as honest and skilled as Jeff and his team. SO grateful to have him working on my cars. Incredible mechanic. I had to bring in my car twice for an AC issue and Jeff was the nicest and most patient guy. The cost was well below what I expected and he got the repairs done lightning fast. Really grateful for the service here! Got my car towed to J&L with a flat and an oil leak on a Saturday morning. I got my car back with new parts working great on Monday afternoon for less money than I anticipated. Jeff was really kind and explained exactly what work needed to be done. I will definitely bring my car back again!

Jeff and his crew at J & L auto have been the absolute best. They have gone above and beyond to get the job done. The most fair and honest people around. I can't recommend them enough. 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough. Thanks guys.

Being a busy Real Estate professional I am always on the road, so it is very important for me to have my car on the road with no problems running smoothly. I have to trust my auto repair shop and at J and L auto I found a home for life. They are accommodating, trustworthy and fast. Jeff the owner is awesome and has me in and out of there on my own schedule. Thanks J and L for keeping me on the road I will recommend J and L to everyone I know!!!

Great service and friendly staff. The only thing I didn t like was that they went ahead and fixed my car when I only dropped it off for them to look at it. Instead of a quote I was given a bill when I went to pick up the car. Don t get me wrong though, they did an excellent job at a great price within a couple of hours. I would DEFINITELY come back to see them with any other future problems. I ll just have to make sure to get a quote first to avoid any surprises.

Fast, professional, honest and very well priced service. Got my brakes done the same day and the price was way cheaper than other places in the area. Some other places will force you to get the parts from them or they won t do the job but they are very flexible here. Would recommend 100%, thank you Jeff.

I've been living in the area for a while now, while keeping an old, beat up car alive. Having been to a few other shops before, I can say for certain that J&L is the best there is. If you are here looking for a shop in the area, stop searching. Go to J&L.They ALWAYS have the most reasonable prices, and the turnaround time is out of control. Sometimes it seems like they can do a major repair faster than it takes the dealership down the street to do an oil change. More than once I've had my car in and out in the same day (even afternoon!). As far as the prices go, I've called half a dozen shops in the area before for certain jobs and most of the time nobody can even come close.Even if J&L was a little more expensive (which I'm not sure it has been yet), I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car in anyway. I have never been treated with more respect at another shop. I am called with updates, and they are upfront with what has to get done. Getting a car fixed can be stressful, and they do such a great job of making sure you're taken care of.I'd recommend J&L to all of my friends in the area. I mean, I'll probably keep coming even if I move away. I don't want to have to deal with another shop again.

Best place ever to get your car repaired. Honest, friendly, timely, and stuck by their estimates! Explained thoroughly what was being done. Provided rides home and pick ups. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else! Thanks to Jeff, Jimmy and David.

Bought a replacement low profile tire. Big store would charge me almost the price of the tire to put it on. Jeff charged me half of that price and did it quick. I forgot to pass one piece of critical Information but he got it right anyway. Highly recommend.

At J & L Auto the guys really take care of you and your car. You can trust them. My truck needed to get fixed and I needed to get back in the road as soon as possible with two kids and being in school. They guys made sure my car was safe for me to drive and kept me aware of everything they were doing every step of the way. Thank you so much!

Exceptional. I ve never had such a great experience with a mechanic, he was so detail-oriented and helpful. Very fair price. Plus he seems like a really kind human who runs a good business and cares for his staff.

This is the most dishonest Mechanic shop i have ever been to, I called ahead of time to get a quote on labor because I already purchased the parts ( complete struts assembly, front and rear ) and was told it will be between 200 and 250 dollars, great deal right ? Not so fast, dropped my car off the next day, gentleman at the desk was nice and polite, I got a call later that day to come pick up my car, the Total was 567$ they added sway bars and charged me 280$ for the sway bar links, they go for less than 40$ online ( front & rear ) I paid 250$ for the complete struts package online, and these so called honest guys charged me 280$ for the links, I went to this shop because I saw the great reviews online, I am not sure who's writing these reviews for them, possibly family members, I just got robbed for 367$ , this is the exact reason why people don't trust mechanics, these guys are not honest whatsoever , I want to post my bill on here so you can see for yourselves.

Jeff and company will take care of you and your vehicle every time. I'm a 15+ year customer for a reason. They'll do it right, quick and fair, what more do you want? Hidden gem in Watham.

I was naive. I have been going to J & L auto for about 6 months now and have had to visit quite a bit within that time. I wrote a review not long ago about how trustworthy I thought these guys were and how happy I was to find them, but I need to retract that statement now. Last week I brought my car in that had died. After inspecting in they gave me the whole run down on how many things were wrong with the car and that it would be $1,000. I wanted a second opinion from the dealer...turns out, all the car needed was a jump. I called to tell J & L how upset I was and that I really trusted them. They half heartedly apologized, assured me that the owner would call and work something out, and here I am a week later and haven't heard a thing. They simply can't be trusted and it's a real shame.

I do a lot of my own repairs, but I go to Jeff when I don t have the room or the right tools. Super honest, does good work, and prices are so cheap I wonder how they stay in business. Lots of shady shops out there, thankfully not this one.

I was so glad I found this place! Although I had figured out what I needed done, they did a free look and gave me a quote. I found the parts myself and they charged me a fraction of the cost to put them in. I was very satisfied with the work and the time it took. They are friendly and caring people. They really do work with you and make sure you have a positive experience. I would recommend them to everyone!

We have a fleet of aging vehicles. Jeff and Jimmy are wonderful, honest people, and great mechanics! They go the extra mile because they genuinely care about their clients.

I'm not one to write review's ,but I've made an exception for the guys at J&L have been bringing my Subaru to them for a couple of years now, they are very thorough in explaining whatever issues I've had, and all the work that they performed remedied my concerns , they have an outstanding work ethic, and are the most honest mechanics I've come across in my 40 years of driving, I'm a lifelong resident of Waltham, and I've dealt with a lot of garages around the city and must say these guys got it down, polite and respectful and will go out of their way for you , and will not milk a job so it cost you more, I highly recommend this establishment for all your car service needs!
