Great customer service, fast turn around time and good prices. They were very busy but still made every effort to help accommodate me when I had an emergency and blew out a tire right before the holiday. Overall great experience and will definitely be back for services in the future.

Brought my old bronco to them for some front end refreshing and they did a spectacular job. I ended up giving them a decent list of things to get done and they delivered! Good prices and friendly service, will be using them again in the future.

"Does anyone know an honest mechanic" is kind of a cliche question on every local FB neighborhood group. Since most of us don't know much about cars, we want to trust that a mechanic is going to be fair, honest and not take advantage of us. ... So, with that in mind, I give 4+ STARS to Frank's Auto Repair for the service I recieved from Paul in March, 2022.A weird electrical issue caused our 2009 Corolla to stop running when idling and Paul went above and beyond to find the issue. It was a riddle with wiring issues from a previous owner, an alternator that had recently been replaced and some other factors that made it more difficult to diagnose. But Paul kept at it and kept me informed every day with calls and text messages or promptly returned my calls. He was fair about the time it took and - MOST IMPORTANTLY - he found and fixed the issue.The car was going to a family member who's a new driver and Paul recommended some additional service for safety - like brakes and a transmission line (see pic Paul texted of the brakes w metal-on-metal) - and explained why they were worth considering. No hard sell, just reasonable explanations in terms I could understand. I always felt like he had my best interests first, not trying to upsell service.In the end we got a car back in better shape than when we started and one that gives us peace of mind for a young driver. ... We found a screw in our tire in the middle of a road trip. This shop was able to get us in quickly and repair it! We waited in their small lobby, where they also have books to borrow while you wait. The price was fair and the repair was solid. Thanks for helping us!Service: TiresService: Tires

This is the third time I have been to Franks and every time it has been outstanding. I brought my car in for a routine oil change, a tail light repair and general check- they disvovered I needed 4 new tires- they were dangerously in need of replacement. They gave me a great price- if I had brought this to the dealer I would have spent at least twice as much- they did an awesome job and I now feel so much safer in my car as I do some traveling by car. I will never bring my car anywhere else and I highly recommend it! Last summer I had them put in an air condtioner and again the price was so reasonable-thanks to Mark and Paul! Frank's Auto Repair and Tire Center did a FANTASTIC job on my brakes. We shopped around several places before we decided to come here. They took the time to assess my vehicle and even made me aware of another issue (and offered an affordable solution) that I had with my vehicle that I had previously noticed but was not sure of what was wrong.Great customer service and great AFFORDABLE prices. Not to mention a quick (but not rushed) turn around time. Excellent attention to detail. They were also very accommodating on very short notice.If you are debating where to go to get your car fixed, give Frank a call, you will NOT be disappointed!!

Great local family shop! I grew up around the corner from this shop and have known the Chaisson s for years. They re a great hardworking family that do great work and are really care about the work they do! Frank's Auto Repair on Bacon Street in Waltham is the BEST place to bring your car , big or small job , you don't get any better service than what you do with this family , I have been bringing my car to Frank's since I was 16 , and I tell EVERYONE they should go here too . Friends and family bring their car to Frank's, very professional , communicates with you , honest and genuine hard workers , I would NEVER dream of bringing my car anywhere else , plus they are at the end of my street , so convenient , but if they were further away, I would still bring my car to them. You can relax because you ALWAYS know your car is in good hands with Frank's Auto Repair . Frank's auto repair is awesome. We have been going to Frank's for our autos for the past 30 years or more. Frank and his team listen to us when we have a problem and know how to diagnosis the problem and fix it. They are reliable and efficient. Most importantly, they let us know when a preventative repair is needed. This is important to us because we don't like to be caught in emergency situations. Each one of Frank's team is easy to talk to and a great mechanic. We highly recommend Frank's auto. You can't find a better team in Waltham.

If I still lived closer, I would take ALL My repairs to Frank's! Been a customer since 2000 - various cars through the years. Always solid service at a fair price - NEVER feel like I am getting taken for a ride. Most recently, a rack of new rotors/pads for my Acura MDX - Great as always! And they also found the reason for an exhaust issue I've had for 3 years now which SEVERAL Other places "Said" they fixed but they did not. So yea... I am a good 30 miles away but, as my schedule allows, I make it down to Franks because they are the best!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

These people are amazing. I don't even know where to start. My husband and I have been going to them for a few years but tonight they delivered the best customer service I could ever imagine. They replace my husband's alternator today but when we came home the battery light came back on. Even though it was after hours they said bring it down the shop and we'll have a look. 10 minutes later it was fixed. What I love most about Frank is his calming voice. If I call in a frantic panic, he always makes me feel relaxed and calm after. Small, family-owned business who treats their customers right. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

I can not say enough good things about Franks Auto Repair. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Paul is my new go to mechanic. He took care of this old lady. . My 12 year old car is like new! Absolutely amazing customer service. Friday of a long weekend, we just start to get on the road for a weekend trip and our engine hot light goes on. Totally paniced we called Frank's and his son said bring it in let's check it out. He was so nice even though they were closing and really helped us out of a serious jam. 1 hour later the light was off and we were off! Not many people would answer the phone, let alone offer to help like that. Seriously grateful and would 100% recommend Frank's!

Frank is a great guy to work with. He was helpful during the vehicle diagnostics and kept me well informed as the repairs progressed. Their team worked quickly to have my Jeep back on the road in less than a day. I recommend their shop for general auto repair and maintenance.

I have been to Frank's Auto Repair for service on two of my cars on several occasions. Each time I was very happy with the service. This family owned business has a great personal feel while remaining professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Waltham area looking for a mechanic.

I noticed a large screw stuck in my tire last night and I wanted to get it repaired before I ended up with a flat. This morning I called several different tire shops and all of them either required an appointment or told me I'd have to leave the car and come back for it later, which wasn't feasible for me.Then I called Frank. He told me to bring the car in right away, no appointment necessary, and within half an hour it was patched up and back on the road. He was kind, efficient, professional, and accommodating and I could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend Frank's Auto and definitely will be coming back in the future!

I was there to fix the flat tire for my Honda Civic. I was helped by Steve. He was really quick and knew what exactly needs to be done. He fixed the flat tire with in 10 min without even removing it. He charged me very little money since it was fixable with very little time.Really good service and I definitely recommend this place.

I had a leak in my tire, 34psi to 20 in 7 days. Another shop turned me away because they couldn't find anything. I came here and they gave the tire a good thorough check, took it off the wheel and found some rott on the beads and sanded it down. Told me to keep an eye on it. It took them a long time and I really appreciated it because OBVIOUSLY there was something wrong with it. They were really really nice. I will definitely be returning. Happy to support this very friendly family business!

Awesome experience here. Brakes were shot the day before a long trio to maine. Called at 1 o clock, brought my car in at 1:30, with 3 cars in front of mine and only one guy working, he fixed my brakes In just a few hours! Professional, speedy, quality work! I asked them to install 2 side mirrors for me and they did a quick and great job.Very friendly staff, laid back and respectful.They immediately took care of me and charged me only 60 dollars.I had called other auto repairs and they either said I had to wait until next week or gave me a quote of $200 for a simple task like this.I recommend them.

Leaving Waltham on Monday and noticed a large screw in my tire. It was around 5pm and was turned down at two local repair centers. Happened to find Franks.What a great guy, helped me out and plugged the tire. Rates were fair and the conversation was priceless. Old school customer service. Highly recommended!

Nice guys but I felt a little disappointed in the price and service. We bought used tires and two of the tires had the beginnings of dry rot and one of them had hardly any tread left. So I brought the car back and they replaced the worst tire with a new tire but we had to pay full price for the new tire. In the end, we spent about as much as it would have cost to just buy four new tires. So feeling pretty bummed about the whole deal. Should have just got new tires at a different shop. Also, there's a plug in one of the tires (I just found) they didn't tell me about.

Frank s garage is Fantastic!!I recently moved down to Waltham for school and I needed a new mechanic, (when you drive a car that s on its last legs like mine, these things are important). It s always tough to find somebody trustworthy when you move to a new place, but luckily I found exactly what I was looking for at Frank s.I was due for an oil change so I took a look online to see where I could get a good deal. National Tire and Battery had an oil change special for 19.99, so I ended up going there. Not surprisingly they found some other issues, namely that my fuel filter was leaking. They wanted $70 for the part (I learned later that the part retails for 24.99) and $100 for the labor. They also found a laundry list of other problems. On top of that, they wouldn t do my oil change unless I fixed some of the other things.Deciding that I should do some due diligence, I read a few online reviews and decided to give Frank s a shot. Once again, I went in only asking for an oil change. Frank himself found the same problem with my car and took the time to show me where the problem was and how he was going to fix it. The best part was that he quoted a price much lower than NTB.Not only did I get my oil change and the new part I needed but I got it at a price I had researched to be fair. Frank didn t try to pull any punches on me because I was new to the area, and he and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. Five stars all the way!

Frank s Auto has been keeping me on the road for years. They will fix your vehicle right on the spot, advise you as to what can wait and always at a fair price.They are a small business and always are out to serve their community.Also, totally funny dudes.

Went in to get my muffler looked at as it was making strange noises. Franks told me I had no choice but to replace the entire muffler. Got a second opinion and it turns I just needed 1 small piece fixed. I saved about 1300$ by having someone take a longer look at it. If Frank's didnt know how to fix a foreign car, honesty would have done the trick instead of saying it was broken. Additionally,, while at Frank's I was put down for also having a nice car. Will not repeat.

Stopped by Frank s at 5pm on a Friday after my tire suffered a curb injury. Frank had my car fixed up and ready to go by 5:40. I ve officially found my new local mechanic! Many thanks for a quick, easy fix to an annoying problem, Frank!
