Came here for an inspection sticker, was told that my window tints (I purchased the vehicle in las vegas) were too dark and would be an automatic rejection by a speedee employee before the inspection even took place. I then took my vehicle to a tint removal and application specialist who whilst removing my tints tested my tint level which was in fact well within MA legal limits. Therefore i removed my tints and wasted time and money based off an inaccurate reading by a speedee employee.

Took my car in for an issue was given a quote for over $300 for parts and labour. A week after I was still having the issue with additional problems. Took it back and they had it for 2 two days no call or updates. I kept having to call to find out what's the update. Eventually they listed a whole bunch of things wanted to quote over 2k. I decided to collect my car and take it somewhere else only to find out that the $300 job I paid for was not even done and they left a bunch of things disconnected. I don't know how my car made it to the next shop without completely wrecking. Customer service here is horrible and they charge for work not done. You pay for brand new parts and they don't install them. DO NOT GO HERE I DO NOT RECOMMEND.......RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN...... PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE EXTRA HEADACHE.

I am very particular about letting people work on or even just preform general maintenance on my vehicle.I was so impressed with my overall visit to SpeeDee that I will now be only ever bring my vehicles to SpeeDee in Taunton.The Staff was extremely careful to explain everything to me. I always have a ton of questions and the staff was patient enough to educate me.Most places that I have tried in the past get frustrated with me and talk to me in a very demeaning manner. With that said it was the past because SpeeDee is my now futureThere needs to be more places that operate with the level of care, knowledge and professionalism that I received at SpeeDee.Thank you, to all of the staff for making my visit so wonderful.

SpeeDee has been our spot to take our vehicles to for as long as I can remember. My parents used to also take their vehicles. Always reliable and great service. Friendly & helpful staff at this location. Always appreciated!

This place is a joke,! Called for a price on an inspection sticker. They tell me 175 bucks an hour plus $35 for the inspection sticker. Are you guys thinking that the community is a bunch of idiots? I get my commercial stickers done for $65. Who the hell do you people think you are? To the hard working people of Taunton don't come here for an inspection sticker. You're going to get smoked. Forget these fools

Went in for an inspection sticker, didn t get it spoiler waited for a while, while waiting to even been spoken to. No one even bothered to come out to see what I needed meanwhile all I was hearing were employees shouting and saying how they don t care if they get fired, two girls just hanging out eating. Not expecting instant help but to be made to wait while hearing all that, not the best look for a business definitely won t be returning here.

Was able to make it there after getting a flat and no spare. I'm always nervous to go to shops I've never been to before. They could have sold me a brand new tire knowing I wouldn't have really had a choice. They were able to patch it up for me super quick and get me and my kids on our way.

The only good thing I have to say is that it was fast. Unfortunately, everything was wrong. Took my car this past saturday to have the oil changed. Issues were as follows:1. I told them I wanted the Mobil1 Full Synthetic, the service done was conventional oil. (Thankfully I was only charged for the conventional oil change price, but its not what I wanted or needed for my vehicle).2. My front grill now has a crack in it from the tech hitting something, as does my license plate.3. Walking across a parking lot I saw something hanging from the bottom of my car. Whoever the tech was apparently couldn't be bothered to rebolt the splash guard to recover the bottom of the motor.Any one, or even two of these, I could look past. Employees are tough to find right now. But three strikes, you're out. The only reason I'm even giving one star is because the guy at the desk was polite.I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone looking for maintenance on a vehicle.

TLDR: they lied and tried to charge me $330 for a part I dont need.I will never come here again. All I needed was a simple inspection sticker for a car that had just been to the mechanic. The first time I stopped by they told me it would be 30 minutes because there was a car in front of me. After waiting for an hour and 15 minutes they told me that it would take 4 more hours and that their inspector had just arrived. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I returned less than a week later for them to manufacture a false issue and try to sell me parts and labor 10 times the price of the sticker. Thanks but no thanks guys.

Was a long time customer for 5+ years but will never go back. My infinity g37x clearly had an exhaust issue they told me they could fix. $800 later they told me it was fixed. My check engine light came on shortly thereafter, and after going to another mechanic they informed me no exhaust work appears to have been done.Don't know what happened but they lost my business and I'm certainly not referring anyone again.-RickServices: Exhaust, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Had my oil changed as I've done for years, next day my transmission was shifting strange. ( NOT THEIR FAULT ) CHECKED THE FLUID AND WAS 3 QUARTS LOW. ,OF ALL THE FOOLISH THINGS THEY LOOK AT !! TRAMSMISSION SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED. ( SOMTHING WORTH TALKING ABOUT) IM NOT MUCH FOR SMALL THINGS( BUT ) MOTOR AND THANSMISSON ARE KEY ) I HAVE THREE TRUCKS I TOOK THERE , NO MOREService: Oil change

My wife brought the vehicle in for inspection and oil change... I'm gonna start by telling you my wife brought this car in however that should never make a difference. This place is so messed up that apparently sending a 5 ft tall female they figured they were gonna try and sell her blinker fluids She was told the tie rod had some play and they completed an oil change... I proceeded to bring my vehicle to Godfrey automotive in Easton and they as usual were trustworthy and ready to point out that the oil change wasn't done at all and the inspection report was wrong there was no problem at all with my front suspension. I proceeded to bring my vehicle to an entirely different place for a third opinion and they advised me that the suspension was in top shape and the previous inspection was done by someone that has no clue what they are doing. So unless you want to pay double and have no car because this hack place will just plop a big red R without warning or with reason I would avoid speedee oil change and their untrained mechanic that gives mechanics a bad name!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Workers yelling at each other . Went in for an oil change . My truck was done but waited 30 min to come in and get me . Also the tec said I needed to change fluids on my 4x4 system. Kinda odd since truck is 2 wheel drive .Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Do not go here, they failed my inspection, claiming there was a suspension problem, which I knew there was not. I went to a reputable mechanic that I use regularly & they told me there was absolutely no reason they should have failed me. They also said they did an oil change & the other shop told me they did not. I am disgusted with this place. Never ever will I go there again, wish I could get my money back, but I know that's not possible. Rediculous... They need to re train their staff.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Pretty much got ripped off after waiting forever to have my inspection done. The guy failed me and said I needed new tires and said quite clearly that for 4 new tires to get mounted and balanced it was gonna be $170. I don t know much when it comes to having work done on cars, so I just said sure. He finished up after an hour and told me it was $750 which I didn t even have. When I asked him initially how much it would cost, he said $170 for 4 tires mounted , not $170 PER tire. I am extremely furious with SpeeDee and I think I was taken advantage of since I m a young person who doesn t know anything about cars yet.

Got there this morning at 7:15am, 45 minutes before they open because the company I work for has a fleet service agreement. 2 employees working in the building see me waiting patiently for them to open. At 7:55 one comes out to let us know they're not opening until 9am. You guys could have said that earlier, so we didn't waste all our time! I'll never go back, it should be easy to find better service and nicer people elsewhere.

Went here for an inspection sticker. I had a small crack in my front bumper not pertinent to the safety of the car and they failed my inspection. Brought it to another place and it passed. They claimed I needed an entirely new bumper which would have cost about $1000 out of pocket. The wait was also atrocious. They told me it would be a half hour and an hour and a half later, they still weren t done. Poor customer service. As a young person, it felt like they were trying to find something to jib me on.

I have been going to this place for quite some time, pretty much since the South St oil change closed. I have been satisfied up until today when I brought my suv in for its oil change. My tire pressure light came on recently due to a slow leak I have in the right rear tire. I usually fill it at home, but figured since I needed an oil change, they would fill it since it is a 17 point service for $100.Well, when it was finished, I saw the tech in the driver's seat, to reset the warning light and he was chuckling with the other tech about something. When I was paying, he said, your tire pressure light is still on, not sure why, I put 35 Lbs in each tire. I thought, hmmmm, that's weird. But okay. Once I got home, I pulled out the air hose and checked each tire, going to the right rear first, and it had only 27.4 lbs, the rest had the 36.5 that I normally have. Why lie? And what other 16 things did they NOT do? I'm not really sure how I feel right now (duped, I guess), but I'll have to really think about whether or not I want to go back again. Service: Oil change

Don't bring your car here for inspections. I sent my young soft-spoken coworker to get my car inspected. Dude tried to fleece him for a new exhaust system. I checked. The exhaust is fine. Just a bunch of scammers trying to steal catalytic converters from people who don't know better.

Update for my last review. Still a good place for an oil change, and be sure to check for online coupons. Like many places however a change in management affects many things. Also, mark up on certain parts and components is now a bit crazy. That may have more to do with corporate than present day to day. Comparison shop if you can. Still, in a pinch, they can manage some repairs same day, without an appointment.Update for my 2020 review. Still 5 star service as far as I am concerned. Have done my regular oil changes, a Transmission fluid change. The place lives up to its name as far as speedy. It may not be the least expensive place but it is also not the most expensive. Reasonable price for quick and good service.Went here for the first time in May. Was in need of an oil change, my usual repair shop was doing by appointment only, I had put it off a bit and didn't want to wait any longer so gave Speedee a shot.They pointed out a problem with the front end (something I was aware would need work, and had been informed of being on the horizon by my "usual" place). No pressure or scare tactics, willingly spent some time with me asking answering questions and provided me with an estimate (I had been told by my usual place what I needed and what it would cost).Time passed, the situation become one that needed to be done, decided to have this outfit take a look at the work, I knew was needed. Did the work the same day on a walk in basis, on price as quoted (and a better price than my usual place). Great service, great people, great price.

Awful experience! I will not be going back there again! 1st time they didn't fill any fluids & the 2nd time they forgot about my vehicle. After waiting 45 minutes I went to check on it & they hadn't even started because no one knew why the truck was there. No one told them it was sitting there ready to get the oil done. Never again!!!Update, I tried them again as I hadn't had time to get an appointment anywhere else. Thankfully they were not busy & were able to take a walk in quickly. Not sure if they've changed the staff since my last visit but they were quick & efficient this time & so far I don't think there are any issues. Thank you!

This place wasn't the worst but they have long wait times even for an inspection sticker. They failed me for a licence plate light being out which was to me foolish and caused me to have to go somewhere else to fix the light and then back to them for an even longer wait for my sticker. Overall it was a long process for a sticker , where it would have been easier had I gone to a shop that would of been able to replace the light at that time.

Brought my truck in to replace my fuel sending unit. I had called the day before and spoke with someone there told them exactly what needed to be done. I was assured it was no problem and to bring my truck in any time. Next morning I brought my truck in, told them again exactly what needed to be done, multiple times. They said no problem and they'll call me when it's done. Got a call a couple hours later saying that can't do it because they didn't want to risk the damaging the fuel pump, and that they were under the impression that it was the fuel pump that needed to be replaced, not the sending unit, even tho I had stated MULTIPLE times the fuel pump was fine. The sending unit itself is just a plug and play style, but either they felt unqualified to handle that or they just didn't want to do it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Avoid at all cost. They are incompetent and dishonest. It would be too long winded to go on about everything but my daughter came home with her engine cover just laying on top of the engine because the guy told her he "didn't know how to put it back on". This is a very, very simple task. Never mine the straight up lies about the cabin and air filters. If you want to let someone work on your car that can't put an engine cover on and is dishonest this is the place for you. Best of luck. Bad experience. When they checked my filter they placed my glove compartment box incorrectly and now it is loose. The interior of my car was dirty where they placed their hands. Like black and now my hands smell too. No one wears a mask. They don t tell you a price until after they do the work and don t bother to tell you what they will do. For the oil change they spilled the oil all over where the filter goes and didn t clean it up. They don t wash the windows or vacuum interior. They are over priced for the services provided and very sloppy!I emailed the person who replied to this post and gave my contact info. the store has yet to contact me regarding my experience. The customer service is terrible!
