Was in a pinch to get a flat plugged before the holiday weekend. Went to three different name brand tire centers, nobody would take me. Went to Fellsway and they went out of their way to get me in and out in 15 minutes. Will definitely get my business moving forward!Service: TiresService: Tires

I never feel comfortable going to a mechanic because I don't know much about cars, but Jimmy was great at explaining everything I needed, the different options available, and what he thought was the best course of action. I also appreciated that he went line by line with me, explaining each price. It was the first time I actually felt like I knew what was going on with my car. Amazing experience, I'll definitely be recommending this place!Service: Brakes

Jimmy and John are the guys that I have talked to every time I go into Fellsway and they run an incredible business. One time my sideview mirror was taken off and rather than suggesting I have to pay for a full replacement they put a screw in and sent me on my way free of charge (I preferred this option they won't do that without your ok). They have never tried to charge me for something I didn't need and always go above and beyond. I cannot recommend them highly enough as they are incredibly respectful and fast/hard workers. You may sometimes have trouble getting them on the phone but it's likely because they are busy getting your car fixed as fast as possible and because people trust them enough to keep them busy. Absolutely recommend fellsway auto for any maintenance and repairs. Jimmy and John are a rare breed of excellent, honest, and professional mechanics. I highly recommend visiting!I came in for a routine transmission flush, oil change, and inspection sticker. Couldn t be happier with the service. Jimmy uses only the quality oem recommended brands for his services. Mobil1 for oil change and Toyota transmission fluid.He didn t know if he could get me an appointment but suggested that I could drop off my car in case there were any no-shows. Indeed, I dropped my car off Wednesday afternoon and picked up my car within a few hours.Picking up the car was such an easy process and his prices are excellent. Again, couldn t be happier with the entire process and will definitely be back for any work needed.

In life you need a good doctor, a good handyman, and a good mechanic to be happy. Jimmy is a great mechanic.He will go out of his way to come up with cost-effective solutions. He's honest and straight forward.He regularly works 12/16 hour days because he cares about his clients and knows they need their cars.I'll drop off my car expecting to get it back in a week and pay a thousand bucks, he calls me to pick it up that same day and charges me $90.I always leave his show feeling like I should have paid him 5 times as much as I did for the quality of service I got.He is also just a really sweet guy

Trustworthy service at a fair price. Jimmy and his son always do a great job and try to save you money where they can. Last service they even drove out of the way to the only store that had the part I needed so that my car could be back on the road that day. Not to mention they will explain everything to you so you know exactly what their process is and maybe gain some knowledge about your car you didn't have before. I have always had a great experience here and trust the work that they do.

I think the most daunting part about moving to a new city with your old car is worrying about finding a trustworthy mechanic. My old Corolla's brakes partially failed while I was out on the highway and I knew that I was finally going to have to take my car to a mechanic. In the very first call after I dropped off my car, Jimmy asked if the car sits idle for long periods of time and isn't being driven around as much. I immediately knew that he was someone who knew cars really well because he was spot on in his observation.Jimmy is such a straightforward and kind person and a truly knowledgeable mechanic. When I walked into his tastefully decorated office with vintage car frames and old dark wood furniture, it was nothing that I'd expected to see. I could immediately tell that he loves what he does and he cares for the cars as well as his clients. He and his son John went out of their way to not only fix the brakes, but also checked the struts and a few other things I'd mentioned. I thought that the brakes would need to be replaced but Jimmy called me up and said they are old but they're fine, I just need to drive the car on the highway more often.There was also a weird electrical sound that bothered me and occurred for years without actually causing any harm. The sound was simply annoying. Jimmy stayed up late at night trying to figure out the sound and in the end he fixed it!!I was expecting a hefty bill given all the work he put in the car but he charged me $95! I was relieved but also knew that I had found myself a rare mechanic who is so humble and honest that while I live in this city, I would only be taking my car to him.Some part of me wanted to keep this a secret but he honestly deserves all the business he can get. If you want an honest, thoughtful and knowledgeable mechanic, look no further than Fellsway Auto.

Great experience fixing the noise when I turn my steering wheel. First time I have been here. I just randomly called in the morning and the owner was so nice and said he can look at my car after 2pm. I went there and first thought I needed to replace the entire strut system and spend >$800. But he took things apart and found the problem is worn out rod. He replaced the rod, so I only had to spend $100 something. The noise is gone and my car running smoothly again. Honest and efficient, as everyone said!

I can not recommend this place enough!! Jimmy (I think was his name) was AMAZING & went above and beyond for us, even though we weren't even really his customers!! My car broke down at the Stop & Shop around the corner (battery went out) and my husband called him to ask if he had a battery charger we could borrow. He didn't charge us anything and let my husband borrow it so we could use it to restart the car. We were having some difficulty getting the charge to hold (not the best with cars & the battery is super old haha) and Jimmy drove by the Stop & Shop parking lot while driving another client's car to test it out and saw us still having trouble. He quickly pulled up next to us, jumped out and helped us get it started. Again, charging us absolutely nothing for helping us! He even let us know what battery to buy when we go to Auto Zone to get a new one. An absolutely stand-up guy and if we need any car service in the future we will be bringing all of our business to him from now on! Amazing service! A razor-blade punctured back tire right in the middle of heavy traffic on McGrath Highway. Drove there for an urgent repair. They brought the car right in and 15 minutes later I was already back on the road. Highly recommend!!Service: TiresService: Tires

This place is a shiny gem in the greasy world of auto mechanics. Solid guys, no BS. They charge a fair price and almost always have your car back same day. Make sure you call ahead to check their availability.

Great place to go! I called in the morning and was able to bring my car in a few hours later when I had time. I had run over a deer and it broke a piece off the bottom of my car. They fixed it fast and it barely cost me anything. They are knowledge and nice and even showed me the underside so I could see what they were fixing. Will refer all my friends to this place!

Got stranded at Assembly nearby leaving work last week - car wouldn't start or take a jump. Got it towed to Fellsway Auto without any warning (Just called to make sure they could take it) and the mechanic John was great to work with. Stayed in communication with me the whole time and helped me out a bit on the bill at the end. First experience and hopefully last, but if it isn't then I'd be happy to trust John again with my ride! Great local shop for your car maintenance needs. Staff has always been honest and prices reasonable. One time I was on my way to work and popped my tire just a few minutes from my house. I swung by fellsway and they were able to plug the hole and get me on my way in just a matter of minutes- all in time for me to make it to work on time!

I ve been a customer of Jimmy s since I bought my first car thirty years ago. He s a great mechanic and an honest person. He ll always be straight with you about what your car needs to get back in the road, or tell you if it s not worth spending the money to fix it and I ve never known him to be wrong. I live on the Cape now but I still go to Somerville to have my car repaired at Fellsway because I know I ll get good work, a fair deal and be back on the road quickly. Highly recommended!

I brought my car to Jimmy on very short notice to repair a number of issues diagnosed at a dealer. He had me in and out within a couple of days at an honest and fair price. Very trustworthy and just a great overall experience. Thank you!!

I punctured my tire and called to ask if they could patch it on short notice. They told me to give them an hour to shuffle some cars around. Once I arrived, they patched the tire in mere minutes for an extremely reasonable price and were very nice in our (brief) interactions. Thanks so much for saving my day!Service: TiresService: Tires

There s no better place to take your car for repair in the Greater Boston area than Fellsway. I ve been taking my Ford Escape here for 3 years now and every time I m blown away by Jimmy s knowledge, kindness, honesty and speed in getting my car back to me and on the road. Simply the best mechanics around. Both Jimmy and John are two of the most honest, hardworking and incredibly helpful people you will ever meet. Working with you every step of the way to not only provide impeccable service but also make sure you approve of every repair before it happens!! Lastly they are the most price conscious mechanics you'll meet, you can be sure to walk away with a top tier repair that you can actually afford!! I could go on, but save yourself the time, hassle and headache of looking for a mechanic and just go to FELLSWAY AUTO ALREADY!!

Honest, straight-forward & friendly service at a fair price. They do not over-repair / -replace for profit. They offer ideas for controlling costs. I do most of my own repairs, and Fellsway helps me w/ repairs I cannot do. Very fast turn-around, and good scheduling advice. Retains their staff, so the quality is consistent. I called in with 3 problems and was given solutions that didn't require their services, which was very honest of them. I then had a car towed in that needed emergency work and was quoted a reasonable price and paid said price.I brought in another car and was again given solutions that I was not charged for.How rare to find an honest auto mechanic, if you don't go here after reading this idk what to tell you.

Needed brake servicing, new pads and rotors. I didn't want to go to the dealership and be ripped off. I found Fellsway Auto online and looked at the reviews. I can honestly say that Jimmy & the team are exactly what the reviews say they are. Good guys whom are not trying to over-charge you or perform work that is not needed. I got my rear brake pads and rotors replaced and the price was more than fair. I will definitely go back to Fellsway Auto and I highly recommend you do the same if you're reading this. Thanks Jimmy!

I gave this mechanic every opportunity to do the bare minimum. A deal over the telephone from a customer he never met who lives 100 miles away. I was simply asking him to look over a vehicle I was interested in purchasing from a local dealer and tell me what s wrong with it. I m sure he knew chances were good that whatever was wrong with it the work would be done by the dealer. He could have taken my money over the phone, do a quick walk around the truck, and tell me a couple tidbits and I d never have been the wiser. Instead he did an in depth evaluation of the vehicle, hooked it up to the computer, put it up on a lift, checked out the motor in detail, checked fluids, and everything else. He gave me it ALL. The good the bad and the ugly. It s one thing to do a fair job when you could have done nothing and gotten away with it. But this guy did AN AMAZING job when he could have done nothing and gotten away with it. Integrity like that is hard to come by.

Easily the most HONEST,reasonable shop in the Somerville area.They give you a fair price,do the work correctly,and promptly..Doesn't get any better than that.! Jimmy and his mechanics are the best..a lot of crooks around,but NOT these guys..and they know who they are.I'm not mentioning any shop names..THANK YOU,A.G...30+ year customer.

Very nice easy going guys. My time there was quick. The lobby area is very comfortable. Went because a garbage bag got caught under my car that had melted and was causing strange noises, which they were able to saw off. From my experience and from the other reviews I've read, if you want honest service I would go to them.
