They started changing the oil in customers cars in back of the building, bad businessSo apparently after being told twice management would get ahold of me about the practice of changing customers oil outside the building, no one has gotten back to me, so now I'm going to start taking pictures of vehicles getting serviced outside the building, and I am going to post them, and by way the vehicle I had done on December 26th I've only driven four or five times in the last 4 weeks, I went to use the windshield wash and it was EMPTY!!! As I said I paid money for nothingSo it's been a few weeks, Valvoline despite telling me three times that somebody would call me this is been going on for 2 months, I stated I would take pictures of other vehicles getting the oil changed outside the building, and apparently that didn't make them move well now I'm going to add some pictures of the last sucker to get his oil changed with only probably only partial Services completedMy next trip next week will be to Seekonk City Hall to ask them if they're licensed to do work outside the building,

They intentionally messed with my battery so they had to jump my car 2x. Funny, had zero problems with my battery before I got there. Hmm. Tried charging me $240 to replace the battery and I laughed at them. Then, they asked me how much tire pressure I wanted in my tires. It's literally listed on the driver side door. Really? To top it off, they didn't latch my hood when I left. Had I gone on the highway, something serious could have happened to me. I will be reporting this location to the BBB and never going back there again.

Staff was rude, make you feel like you re being a inconvenience, and were very pushy with their sales pitches. They also skipped 40% of the service items like fluids, air filter check, and tire pressure. They were extremely rude about the fact i had a coupon I wanted to use and was told they don t accept coupons anymore at that particular location and refused to explain why when i asked. If i was anyone looking for a good oil change, i would go to any of the other establishments in the area for better service and prices.

I went in for an oil change and I had my two-year-old daughter with me I was worried that it may take long and she would get impatient but the guys were phenomenal they were very informational the oil change was very quick they even went the extra mile showing me some issues that I was unaware of with my car it was a great experience one of the guys even gave my daughter a lollipop they now have a forever customer I will definitely be returning great customer service thank you to the guys at Valvoline on Fall River Ave. in Seekonk

My father brought his Nissan Sentra in today for an oil change. They recommended him a cabin air filter replacement, claimed it was dirty, even though it was replaced less than 3 months ago. It was not dirty. I had put it in myself (but he did not remember due to a prior stroke). It's shameful that management pushes employees to engage in such unethical upselling. Unfortunately, this behavior won't change because they'll just blame the employees instead of the real problem: the management at the top.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

Coincidentally, my coolant line broke as I was in the parking lot of Valvoline. The technicians saw me struggling and told me to pull it into a bay. They took a look at my car and gave me great help and advice. Wouldn t have known what was wrong if it weren t for them!!! Thank you everyone working there today, I ll make sure to come back in the future because of you!!

I wish I could give them a zero. I came and they had me wait for half an hour to tell me they didn t have the part to change my oil. They had me go down the street and pick up the part for them and when I came back, they would service my car. I came back, and they finished the cars they were working on, which was fine and understandable. However, they let three cars go in front of me who arrived after I did. The people working were generally rude to me except one guy was nice to me, Ethayn was the only one that was kind and tried to be helpful. I came in with a coupon however, when I came back, they said I would either be able to use the coupon or have the part that I purchased deducted but not both. Even though they had me pick up the part that they needed in the first place. If I had known all of that I would have gone somewhere else where they would not have ignored me, been kinder, and would have had the proper parts and less of a headache.Service: Oil change

I used to frequent this establishment due to the convenience of a 15 min. oil change but NO MORE. I starting having issues with my AC/Heat and when I dropped it off at the mechanic, he stated that the problem was whoever put in my cabin filter last. The associate who not only convinced me that I needed it but never added an important piece back on it, causing all the cold/hot air outside to get in, making it not work correctly. Also, I was told that they installed my air filter the wrong way when putting it back after I denied getting it replaced. Thank Goodness I didn t throw away the piece that I knew was part of my car but didn t know for what, that would have cost me even more money. I am no longer getting oil changes from any Valvoline, let alone this location.

I ve gone in here a few times for my oil change, air in my tires, bulb changes, and windshield wiper replacement. It s usually about a half hour wait but considering they don t take appointments that s pretty good to me. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I used to change bulbs and windshield wipers myself, but it s the same price here if I were to get the parts from Autozone and do it myself with no additional service fee! I know if I m stopping in here for a check up before a long drive they ll have me taken care of.Service: Oil change

Alot of people dont understand the process this company is about. It's a preventive maintenance. Helps prevent parts breaking down. Maintain fluids and your car wont need to be seen by a garage to replace things as frequently. If you want faster then dealership and garages making you wait hours for things. Jay did a great job explaining various services my car may need without being pushy. He communicated very well and was very professional from beginning to end. Love the fact that we were able to stay in our car during the service. In and out in 15 minutes - great service!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

First time here and it was a really pleasant experience. I enjoyed speaking to the technician about the car, various life stuff, etc. It really made a memorable experience. I also enjoyed that I could watch everything the technician did. Something I can t do at our dealership.I ll be happy to return for future oil changes. I was also glad to get in and out fairly quickly.Only con is that the full synthetic oil change is fairly expensive, more than the dealership even. But for the difference in price and friendliness I received; it s worth not having to make an appointment, wait, etc in my opinion.

Tired of this location, evertime my wife or I come in for a basic oli change, we are always told something else is wrong but if we take our vehicle to another shop for a second opinion, nothing is found.Only conveniently here is there more issues, and as of recent when my wife denied the extra $200+ of extra work so we can have it looked at by another shop, she was mocked and called stupid. This has happened over 3 different vehicles, all of which was inspected by the state just prior to an oil change.Service: Oil change

10 out 10 stars Valvoline in Seekonk is my go to place for oil changes, since you can conveniently wait in your car and doesn t require an appt. I have never had a bad experience. I honestly haven t been in a while and due to work, have put it off. When i pulled up Google for their hours on a Saturday, I was apprehensive about even going, so many recent bad reviews! I NEVER write reviews but i just had to update everyone after receiving EXCELLENT TOP TIER SERVICE!!! We snuck in 15 mins before closing and JOHN (just transferred from Warwick Valvoline) was extremely helpful!! We were on a time crunch but he was helpful to print out his recommendations (very helpful for budgeting). John even went out of his way to physically point out some tips on the car. We have also been putting off a tire rotation and they were able to do it 15mins before closing!! The entire Valvoline crew was upbeat, professional, informative and worked efficiently. Give this place a try but more importantly be kind and considerate to people in the service industry. The entire world is short staffed and overworked, kindness goes a long way. P.S go to Valvoline website for FREE coupons (instead of paying Groupon), they are more than happy to apply discounts directly from their website!!Services: Tires, Oil change

I had read some horrible reviews for this location. Especially for Groupon holders. I went in hoping for the best. They were on time. Waited about 20-25min for the two cars in front of me. Unlike other people I received no direct verbal retaliation for having a Groupon. They did try to up-sell me and sort of made fun of me for having low oil. And honestly, leaving there I would have given it 3 solid stars. But two miles later my tire light goes on. Was not an issue prior to going. Tried to reset thinking resetting the oil check feature messed up that light. Nope. Came right back on. Paperwork says they checked and all 4 tires (didn t even ask for this service) were at 33 PSI. I checked and three were at 31 and one was at 29. So now I m stuck trying to figure this out. And this exact same thing happened at a different Valvoline. They created a total headache. I know putting air in a tire isn t hard but I don t have a free place around me. I don t carry cash or quarters and I shouldn t be leaving with more problems than I came in with. Pay the extra money and go to some place reputable. I don t care if they are offering them for free. Don t put yourself through it.Service: Oil change

The staff here are amazing. I went in for a simple oil change , they were nice and fast . 20 minutes after I left my starter went so I called them to help. They where there within 20 minutes and worked on every part of my car to find the problem. Two workers came and stayed for at least an hour for free, just to find out it was my starter the whole time. I hope the two men that came to help me and my son know that good deeds don't go unnoticed thank you .

This location will continue to get my business! I've had countless bad experiences at mechanics, spending upwards of four hours waiting on simple things, and am always bullshitted about things that need to be done to my vehicle. Not here! Spent maybe ten minutes waiting to get in, and twenty minutes having my car worked on. Great service and friendly staff, who taught me a thing or two. Was a little pricey, but I expected that since my car takes synthetic oil, and it was worth it for such good service. I spent under $100 to have my oil changed, fluids topped off, air put in my tires, and told me about some other small things they noticed. When I told them I would pass on another fluid being changed, they didn't try to convince me or argue with them. Great experience!

There were 2 cars in front of me and the wait was an hour and 15 minutes.. definitely not 15 minute oil changes. Only gave an extra star because they at least moved cars from the long line out of the street. Going to the dealership is quicker

Drove up for an oil change and was directed into an open bay right away. Technician who greeted me was very nice and explained the different oil change options and their pricing for each. Didn't have to get out of my car. Took less than 20 minutes including paying and was on my way! Will definitely be going back.

I visited this location yesterday about 20 minutes before closing time for an oil change. I am a very time sensitive person and will not show up to a retail store 2 seconds before closing time as I feel that it's rude). Usually their oil changes only take about 10-15 minutes so they had time to do the change. As I drove up with no one else there, they looked at me, waited about 1 minute before attempting to open a bay. I could tell by the looks on their faces that the didn't feel like doing one more. At that point, I would have been fine with the message "we're closed"; however, they proceeded to open the bay, have me drive up and turn off the engine. Ashley asked me to "give her my keys until the process was finished". That was odd as I have been coming to this location for years and never have I ever had to "hand over my car keys". I gave them to her....maybe this is their new process? Maybe they had issues with customers driving off without paying? She then proceeds to go downstairs and sends Manny up to tell me that my oil pan was leaking oil really bad and they couldn't complete the oil change. That was odd because I park in the same spot every night and don't have oil in my driveway. So in a frantic panic I drove straight home and couldn't finish my errands. I asked him how come they didn't tell me about it before. His reply "we must have put it on your prior receipt". I looked it up on e-mail, nope, not there! I called my mechanic this morning to check out my oil pan and see what was going on. God forbid I cease the engine which would only cost more to fix! He had me bring it in. Come to find out....THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE OIL PAN! My guess is, the staff was just being lazy that day? I usually won't post a bad review, but I have been without a car all day and stressing about the cost of the fix for no reason at all! >:-( what's up with the new crew? I use to love the old crew they were their for years.

Before my oil change here my car was running smoothly. After a few days or so I noticed something was wrong and took it to the mechanic, they told me there was oil spill on my alternator and it was caused by the oil change, as my car was not malfunctioning previously. Not worth my time or money, as I spent even more money getting my alternator replaced .Service: Oil change

Went and got my oil change this morning. They were so polite and professional. For people who are skeptical about what goes on under the hood, you get to watch them perform the oil change itself and whatever else your automobile needs. We got our oil and they change our air filter for us. They noted us of a hose leak that we need to look into. They went above and beyond for us and even applied a higher coupon than what we had. Super sweet and kind. I highly recommend, only took 15 minutes too! Thanks guys, we will be back!

I waited for 15 minutes for my turn in the first doc. The car in the second doc was before me and went in when it was their turn. A few minutes later a SUV pulled up to wait in the second doc. The girl working from the first doc where I was, came up to the SUV that came after and told her she would have me move and would take the SUV next instead of me. The Valvoline girl then came to me and told me to back up and move to the third doc. to wait. I moved not knowing what was going on until I saw that the lady in the SUV who came after me get serviced before me where I was originally waiting. I was expected not to wait another 15 minutes. When I saw what had happened I asked why a customer was taken before me. The Valvoline girl said she did not see me. If you did not see me for over ten minutes sitting there (she did make eye contact) or talk to me to find out how long I was waiting for then I suggest training is needed on this matter. I called customer service and will let others know how this is resolved. I hope this wasn't treatment due to my race. I went to another place and was given better treatment, they were quicker, and I received quality service. This will be the last time that I go to Valvoline.
