I've been having problems with my Mercedes for the last 2 years. Kevin fixed the transmission in a few hours. He is a great guy and I'm very happy I took my car to his shop. I highly recommend Amesbury Transmission.

After getting my car eventually towed to this place. Kevin was not a pleasant person to deal with. Spoke about going on vacation and didn t want to take my vehicle unless I agreed to him fixing it.He was going to charge me 7000.00 for a 2014 ford escape rebuild transmissionAfter I told him another company will do it for 3000.00 and have it ready to be towed he added 200 bucks for just driving it around the block to see what the problem was. Disgusting business and wouldn t recommend him to any of my worst enemies. stay clear of this place !!

See K.B. at Amesbury Transmission for all your auto repairs. Now have long past with K.B. & A.T. I travel the globe advising customers regards complex mechanical/electrical issues. Always a pleasure to work with level headed professionals when at home. Recently at a fork in the road; (a) a $1200 total change out, OR (b) a $165 repair. Took the $165 option "by-others" as this option required a unique weld process. Note; the $165 choice was 100% safe, a repair I would recommend to my children and/or parents. A 5-star recommendation. You are in good hands.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

I had a problem with my 2008 Sante Fe. Gear shift would not move into different gears. I couldn't drive the vehicle and was under the gun to get it fixed quickly. I called Kevin at Amesbury Transmission at 8 a.m. and explained the problem. He wasn't afraid to tackle the problem and took my car right in. He called back shortly after and explained the problem and what need to be done. Work was done right. Price was reasonablegiven the amount of labor involved. Kevin was professional and explained everything clearly. Happy to get my car back same day. Definitely would recommend.Service: Transmission

I needed my rear differential rebuilt on my camaro and nobody would take on the challenge except Kevin at amesbury transmission. He is very professional and had the job done in a timely manner.I highly recommend him and this business.

Go anywhere else. Guys operating out of his backyard garage! Had blown transmission on 4Runner which I already knew from Daaboul and sons a good local mechanic. Was given quote of 3500 not for full rebuild. He had car for under 24 hours to tell me he couldn't repair without doing complete transmission which I already knew. So he charged me $400 for me to get my car. Complained until he brought to $300. But just ridiculous. Ended up paying $3500 for a complete rebuild at AAMCO in Portsmouth. For full rebuild he quoted me same as dealership, guys a joke!

I was really in a jam from my gear shift cable coming off at the transmission. thought I could just buy the bushing that fits in the cable end and snap it back on the gear selector by the transmission when the jeep dealer told me that I had to buy the whole cable which I did. Kevin normally would not allow customers to do this as its part of him making money but I guess he took pity on me and told me to bring it in the following morning. I use this vehicle for delivery service and had already lost two nights of pay. This place came through for me and I was truly grateful that he did the work especially when all the other garages and shops were getting ready for vacations and fourth of July. Kevin a good mechanic , transmission person and person. I highly recommend him.. Thank you Kevin

I brought my car here and I would totally recommend if you are looking for a mechanic. They took my car right away and got my car back faster than I thought. They had great communication and were transparent.
