Great customer service, extremely professional staff with solid skills!These guys are very pleasant, friendly, professional and they provide great customer service. Their solid skills and knowledge helped me often over the years. They always do their best to immediately fit the work needed in their schedule. I have never been without a car more than 24 - 36hrs thanks to them.P.S. I own a 2015 Honda CR-V

I needed to have an emergency suspension problem repaired in my 11 year old Mercedes. I called Mercedes dealer and was told I would be put on a list and they could probably get to it the following week.I called M&J, told them my problem. They said they would take it immediately if I could get it to them soon so a part could be ordered. They gave me a quote for the parts and labor which I agreed with.I'm 83 years old and had a doctor's appointment the following day, and they said they would try to have it repaired by closing time. In the meantime, they gave me a "loaner car" to use until mine was fixed.Around 4:15pm I received a call from M&J advising me my car was fixed and I could pick it up.I am very pleased with the attention they gave to my problem. The repair was great and needless to say, the service was beyond great. All my future car service will be done there.Service: Steering & suspension repair

My VW Tiguan car battery died. AAA was able to get the car started but didn t t have the right battery to replace it. Unable to turn the car off, I called M&J and explained the situation. They said bring it right over, which I did, and they had me in and out in no time. Great service as always!Service: BatteryService: Battery

On a Memorial Day Weekend drive up from NYC to visit with friends in Rowley, my 2007 Toyota Avalon's check engine light and vehicular stability control light were present on my dash, and the car was sputtering something awful for over four hours. We googled foreign auto body shops near our friends, and were very happy to see the great reviews for M&J. Jake, who took our very concerned call, told us that they could see us first thing on Tuesday morning. We arrived, he was very pleasant, and not even a few hours later they had called me to let me know it was the engine coil needing replacement. He gave me a very fair quote for the part and labor (I know they were fair because I've had the car serviced for this in the past), and had the car done by late afternoon. I'm confident you've made customers out of my friends for how well you handled us. Thank you Jake and M&J Foreign cars for great customer care.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been taking cars to Mark and Mike, and crew, for over 20 years and have always found them to be honest, forthright talented mechanics. I have nothing but respect for them, both as mechanics and as highly trustworthy individuals. I hope to take my cars to them as long as I can drive.(older review from 3 years ago)Excellent auto troubleshooting (new experience 5/15/2021)I ve been taking my vehicles to M&J s for over 20 years and have never been disappointed with their work. A recent ignition problem with my 2012 Porsche was diagnosed, repaired, logically explained to me, and suggestions were given for symptoms to be aware of should other complications arise.The staff here are knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, and their service is a great value. Hard to beat that anywhere.

Got me scheduled a few days after I called to bring my MB C300 in to fix a mechanical issue with one of the seats. Kept it most of the day, but got the problem all taken care of for a very affordable price. Was happy they were able to resolve the problem the same day and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Very professional and nice people.

I ended up going to M&J because the auto shop I was going to before had not called me when my car was finished and also one time I showed up to get my car and they had noted that "they had not started it yet." This other auto body shop also has a front desk that 'takes down' people's service requests but does not actually write them down, so I found myself going there and having to explain to them that I needed done because the front desk had no interest in doing it themselves (they are family run, I think this played into their lax attitudes).M&J provides a professional experience where your car is done promptly and without unnecessary fuss. They always have my car ready on time and without hassle. I would recommend them. M&J also provided pictures in a situation where a major brand tire retailer was at fault so that I could call them out on their fault.

Brought my car in for an oil change and have my cooling system checked. They call me and tell me I need some new lines and a few other things, "it will be $650 worst case scenario". They also told me I need new upper control arms on the driver side of my car, that would cost "$920 worst case scenario". I told them no on the control arms but yes on the cooling system. Pick the car up and they were $150 more than worst case scenario ($800). The kicker? As I'm leaving "oh you might not have heat, we couldn't bleed the system too well". Ok, so you have my car for an extra 24 hours and charge me an additional $150 and you couldn't even bleed the system "too well"? That's great service...I called another shop for an estimate on my upper control arms, $450 as opposed to the $920 I was quoted from M&J.Unfortunately it seems like most shops are screwing people over. Won't go here again.

I brought in my 2007 Audi Q7, because it was leaking fuel and wouldn t start. They found the problem quickly, and fixed everything up for a very fair price! They were very knowledgeable and they informed me of things to keep an eye on, without trying to scare me into unnecessary fixes. It seems too rare to find a mechanic you trust, and they have definitely made my short list!

My husbands mechanic from North Shore Auto Lab in Beverly, Ma told my husband that the only place to have a Mercedes to be serviced was M & J. We have great respect for No.So. auto lab, so when they recommend somebody we know the are the best.Service was impeccable, courteous and even when bringing 2 kids with us, they were patient even when they ran behind counter. My car was perfect and reasonably priced. I would recommend to all my benz friends.Gale Day,Owner Galeday Skincare

Have been a customer for many years, started with my wife taking her car to them and they were great. I always felt that they never let her leave the shop unless the car was running well and safe. They do what they say they are going to, always talk straight about what needs to be done and when. All our cars went well over 200,000 miles (one diesel made it to 307,000).

Have been going to M&J for Maintenance and general information for many years. Best mechanics ever, honest, good solid advice, work is always top notch. These guys are excellent! My first experience with them was years ago after the local BMW dealer charged me $100 to miss-diagnose a bad wheel bearing. The BMW dealer did nothing but charge me for list of things they thought were wrong. M&J diagnosed and repaired the problem for a fraction of the cost! PS...none of things the BMW dealer wanted to fix have not been replaced and that was over 6 years ago.I ALWAYS bring my car to M&J for service.

The reason for the poor review is simply price.I had my front brakes done here for a cost just shy of $600.I own a Cadillac and thought the price was high at the time but figured maybe Cadillac parts were expensive.More recently I needed my rear brakes done and had the same repair; pads,rotors,shop supplies and labor completed at another service facility for a cost of $330.When I told the second shop owner what I paid for my front brakes he simply smiled and shook his head as if they really screwed you.I do bear some responsibility for not getting a second estimate but I made the mistake of trusting M &J to treat me fairly on price..If I was treated fairly on price M&J would have gained a loyal customer with 4 vehicles in my household instead I feel like I was gouged on price and will never return.

I drive out of my way to go see these guys. They do the job right, and explain if there is ever a hiccup along the way. They also offer loaner vehicles if you ask. Not many places will work on a Jaguar because they're not familiar with them, but the guys here take great care with my car. Definitely recommend

I have used this business several times. They have always been accommodating to my needs. I have been given a loaner to get to my place of employment. They always call before the work is done so there are no surprises. The work done has always been to my satisfaction. They are professional and respectful.

Terrible Customer Service. After being told that I could get my AC diagnosed for free, I was handed a bill for $150! A bill, by the way, which covered literally no changes to my car. The AC wasn't fixed. All they did was tell me what was wrong with it! And suggest, too, that I pay a thousand dollars to get it fixed by them as well.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I would recommend this shop in a heartbeat to anybody. I used to have my own shop and I am very familiar with how other shops operate. The staff there is super efficient, honest and our experience and the experience from others that I know who have used them has been nothing short of fantastic. A+ to M&J.
