Wow what a great shop! I just found this place while far from home and thank God I did! After my alternator blew, not only did they fix my car same day but they are fair, honest and priced so perfectly that a couple days later I came back to have my loud exhaust serviced, replace my windshield and get inspection sticker and I was actually able to easily afford this all stress free Priceless! I live an hour away but I know where I will bring my car for absolutely everything and anything from now on! Thank you G&M!!!

Sam is a good guy!!! I brought a used car from there about 2 years ago and car is still running strong. Had a few minor issues but also been able to call Sam last minute to look. I ve started having my daughters bring their car in. He s honest, reliable and always available.

I will never go back to this mechanic! He damaged my oil pan beyond repair during an oil change (stripping the bolt and hammering it in an effort to remove it), which then cost me over $500 in parts and labor to be replaced by a reputable mechanic, who discovered the damage on my next oil change. I went in to G & S to talk to the owner about the situation and he told me there was nothing her could do because I had no proof he was responsible. I have had no work done on the car since the last oil change and I've never had any work done on the oil pan. It is very clear this happened when he did the previous oil change.

I miss the days when I could walk to Sam's garage when I lived in Roslindale. I now live in Westwood but still take my cars to Sam for repair because a mechanic that you trust is invaluable. Sam is that guy.

I don t recommend using these guys they are horrible shady business they sold me a truck with an engine light on then they took the bulb out so I wouldn t see the engine light on an now I m having a hard time getting it inspected lying about it saying they had no clue it was on never had the truck inspected even though you can t sell a car without an inspection sticker on it. I don t recommend using these guys for anything!!

I was having issues with my car battery that other places had misdiagnosed multiple times. I brought my car here and felt like I was actually listened to. The problem was identified and fixed less than a day later. I appreciated how kind everyone I dealt with was and will definitely be coming back for car maintenance in the future. They are very knowledgeable about their automobiles. It's a father and son business, they stand behind their cars. They were very friendly. I recently purchased a car for my grandson and everything went quickly and smooth. My grandson is very happy with his car. I would recommend G&S to family and friends!

The owner is not very friendly. I was having a problem with my brake caliper. I also had a belt replaced. The car is loud and overheating. He said in order to fix it I had no choice but to get new brakes and rotors. I received my car back with the same problem to the caliper. I asked him to check my car again and he did not. He called me 2 hours later to pick my car up and said there was nothing wrong. I again called and complained about my break caliper and I told I don t feel safe driving. He told me to take my car somewhere else. I took my car to another mechanic to find that the caliper was defective and that ilI also had a broken axle. This guy may be nice and good to people of choice. I spent $350 for brakes and rotors. I didn t need them. I needed a good mechanic to look at my car and fix the problem. By the way he gave a passed inspection sticker for my car. The car should never have passed inspection. This is a warning to anyone intending on getting work done there.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brake service & repair

Make sure to bring the car to your own Mechanic or to its make for a full diagnostic before buying a car at this place almost $2000 of work that needs done after a full diagnostic. The belt was put in wrong shaving against ac line smh lol, low antifreeze and they couldn t even fill it up after I mentioned it multiple times, oil leaking because they never put in the washer and more. Never would I ever again.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! picked up my car 48 hours ago!! The sales man Talal GUARANTEED the car would pass inspection I paid $3800 for a car that I can t get a sticker for cause there is a transmission problem!!! My phone calls are being ignored on the first ring and sent to voice mail that is full and not responding to my text messages .. they sold me a messed up car and not standing behind their business word of GUARANTEE!!! Car also need alignment tires my head lights don t work and the car wouldn t start this morning!!! Now I have to waste more time and money!!!

DO NOT GO HERE to try to buy a car. Espeically if you are a women. Me and my friend were trated terribly by Sam. We went there to see a van that we wanted to purchase. He was so rude. Said it was frozen and we couldnt see the inside. We were able to open the doors just fine and asked if we could have the keys to start it. He then told us we couln't test drive becuase the roads were too icy. We had called that morning to make sure we could see the vehicle and were not told any of this. We told him we were very insterested and he told us to come back Monday. We called Monday morning to tell him we would be coming that afternoon for a test drive. We planned on purchasing as long as everyting checked out. He called NOT even 2 hours later to say HE SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE. He was rudeto us from the get go but it was a good deal and we still wanted to purchase the van. I cannot believe that within 2 hours he sold it when we had a scheduled test drive with him. So rude and unprofessional.

I just got back from having my car inspected and I can't say enough good things about G&S Automotive. There was no line, three gentlemen greeted me immediately, one fixed a burned out brake light and replaced my old wiper blades with new ones while the other inspected my car. I was told it would take about 10 minutes but I think it took less time despite the extra work on replacement parts. Much like tax season, I find inspections to be a hassle but I'm almost looking forward to next year so I can take my car back to G&S Auto.

Service is really good very quick to assist and polite doing so. I went in for a state inspection on my car. The fastest inspection I ve ever had. It was cheaper than I d originally expected too. Absolutely will be going here for all future issues.

I bought a Buick Enclave a few months ago, 2020. I paid $cash upfront. A few days after purchasing the car, I had to bring the car back because of the noise I heard. Both Sam and his son were not cooperative concerning fixing the car. 9-15-2020, A few days ago I I received an estimate from a Buick dealer and it was crazy how much things are wrong with the car. I was cheated and scammed. PLEASE DO NOT BUY any CAR at G&S Auto Service, Roslindale. The overall service was and is BAD!

I got my car starter put in by them April of 2018. At the time I didn't know the receipt stated they put a used started in, I immediately called because he never asked me if I wanted a used or new one, of course I want a new one. I requested to talk to the owner who stated he made a mistake he does not use used parts in any cars and he will change the receipt in the computer so it will say new so if I have any issues to come back. Well I did just today almost a year later and the owner is on vacation but he never changed the part to say new so now they are making me pay for another starter when they should honor this repair! It is not right I am a very honest person and this does not seem right to me.

Needed to get an inspection sticker done - I called to see If I needed an appt but you don't. I got there around 11am and it wasn't busy. I was in and out probably less than 10 minutes. Great service!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOTITS TAXES SEASON DONT BE A MEDO NOT BUY A CAR AT THIS PLACE ALL THEY SELL IS LEMON CARSTHE OWNER IS EXTREMELY RUDETHEY WILL PASS YOUR INSPECTION AFTER BUYING A CAR FROM THEM BECAUSE IF U TAKE ELSE WHERE THEY WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTIONTRIED GETTING AN INSPECTION STICKER TOLD ME I COULDNT BECAUSE CAR HAD AN ISSUENOT KNOWING IT WAS BOUGHT FROM THEM WITH THAT ISSUEITS BEEN A VERY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCEI WOULD NOT RECOMMENDTHIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWNAND SHOULD NOT HAVE A INSPECTION LICENSETHIS WILL BE REPORTED!!!!NOBODY SHOULD BE GOIN THRU THISAND IM NOT THE FIRST OR WOULD BE THE LAST SO WE NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN.

DO NOT BUY HERE. My family and I will be reporting them to the dealer's commission for fraudulent practices. They sold a used car with a newly rebuilt transmission. They covered up structural rust damage with black paint. The defects and shoddy transmission resulted in the car failing inspection the day after it was registered. It broke down within 100 miles of buying it. The mechanic we had do the inspection would not even put it on the lift for fear that it would snap. The vehicle is under warrantee and the shop would not honor the requirements of the MA Lemon Law. They are frauds. They sold this junk car to a Marine just back home from four years of deployment. They do not support vets who have served our country.

Had to drive 90 mins to get there. Guys were very casual. Not keen on providing a better service. May be they got good demand and more customers in that area. Was not so pleased. Didn't buy anything.

This place is a scam. This guy Sam is horrible I brought a used car from him march /2018 or this year and it was fine. Then the lights started to cone on and he wanted me to buy the parts for the car to fix things that he told me was fixed. What he claimed to had fixed, lights are now back on.

I came here for both of my vehicle safety inspections. I was in and out in probably 10 minutes. They are so fast, which is very appreciated when I have my toddler in tow.

Came in for my inspection sticker. Awesome service; in and out in under 15 minutes total. Plan to revisit soon for some AC work that's long overdue!

Don't buy a used car here. Purchased a used vehicle (for too much $$-my fault), immediately complained about the noise and handling. Was given an alignment. Took it to another mechanic- $1800 to replace almost the whole suspension 4 tie rods, axle, bearings etc. Things a mechanic would know needed to be fixed. This is a mechanic I have used for several years. I will not be using him in the future based on this experience. The used cars here are overpriced and not in good repair unless they come that way from the auction.
