I took my truck over and had an inspection completed today. I picked it up a few hours later and noticed a multiple-scratch gouge on the passenger side door near the handle once I returned home. I am pretty good at spotting new blemishes, and it certainly wasn't there that morning. I immediately assumed I would be dismissed by whomever I spoke to on the phone, and I was proven correct. I spoke with one guy who claimed he didn't know anything about it and that he didn't open the door while it was in the bay. Well, of course you didn't know about it, that's why I'm calling to tell you. So after haggling it out on the phone for 5 minutes, I knew that wasn't going to get me anywhere. Word to the wise...take your business elsewhere. I don't expect that they would offer a complimentary paint service, but I also didn't expect to be dismissed as quickly as I was either...

I have been going here for the past 4 years from when I had my previous car to my new one. Peter and his staff have always been efficient, honest, and helpful. When my previous car had issues, he was honest to me about repair costs and wether it was even worth it to fix or get a new car. When I recently needed my oil changed for my new car, he noticed an oil leak in the valve cover and again honestly told me to not get the oil change from him and to get it repaired first from the dealership since it was still under warranty. Peter runs an honest business where he genuinely wants to help rather than take advantage of his customers, many times he told me his honest opinion and saved me money when it did not benefit him. I cannot recommend and thank him enough!

I just wanted to add a comment about my experience months ago. Given the recent review below about a scam on the reviewer's mother, I am now convinced I was also a victim of this scam. I was in for a standard oil change and was told that one of my headlights was out after they took my car in. I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn't notice any issues with my lights the night before, but they offered to show me it was out and brought me to the car in the garage. There was nothing I could really do to dispute it at that point, so I agreed to the extra charge/bulb replacement. I did wonder at the time if they put in a faulty light or took out the bulb and just assumed I'd be easy to scam. I feel more confident posting my review after seeing a corroborating review below. I wouldn't go back to this place.

Came here for inspection stickers .. it was a fast process and very friendly services . I will bring my vehicle here for any future issues . Good honest people here .. been loyal customer for a long time.

These guys are great! Very honest and they do good quality work. Very rarely a mechanic tells you when you don't need a service, but they do. I trusted them among other things to do a drivetrain service (transmission, transfercase and differential fluid change) that are hard to check if a mechanic actually does it properly. They took pictures of the process and showed them to me without even asking, I was impressed.

Still processing the scam !!! My mom stops by after a full service at Ocean Honda in Quincy to get her State Inspection done with Quincy Auto Center the guy tries to pull a fast one on my mom stating burnt tail light. Adds on 20 bucks!!! Total scam! I will be reporting this to the State Bureau of commerce and DMV. You have the receipt with reference number.. Unbelievable how some people try to take advantage of others like that.

I recently went to Quincy Auto Center to diagnose a check-engine light warning / have my ignition coil and spark plugs looked at. I was met with prompt service in the office as I explained my problem. Throughout the day, as my car was worked on, the staff at Quincy Auto Center (I worked with Si, specifically), were very communicative via phone and provided regular updates. They also patiently and thoroughly responded when I asked (several) questions. My car was fixed (and I was also able to snag my MA state inspection sticker at the same time!) by the next day. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this business. The work on my car was well-done and the service was honest, prompt, and professional.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Got my car inspected in about 25 minutes. The staff are quick and polite. A few customers came in while I was waiting and they all had personal relationships with the owner(maybe?), which tells me they have a lot of regulars and a good reputation.

Peter is the best! He is nice and tells you the truth about your car and what your options are to fix it. Great quality work with trusted staff. Highly recommend them, they can do foreign & domestic and give you the best value.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Very efficient and friendly. Went in for an inspection sticker on a new (used) car that had failed inspection elsewhere due to dents on the front license plate. They infomed me that I could get the car re-inspected for free at the first place where we had initially failed inspection since we were still within the 30 day period. Appreciated their honesty. Got the inspection done here anyways as it was more convenient.

Went to get my inspection sticker and only waited about 25 minutes. Didn't try to upsell me anything. Will be taking my vehicle there for oil change and all future repairs!

I went there today to have them check on a terrible noise my brakes were making. Spoke with Si who was extremely professional and nice, I left my car and then he called back to confirm his findings after he test drove it and got it up on the lift. Explained everything clearly and was honest about what needed to be changed and what didn't. Fair price. He showed me my rotors after they had been taken off and I saw the metal on metal wear. Also, he gave me a good recommendation on what tires I should get and where to go (because I was planning to do tires soon but almost went with a bad choice per someone else's recommendation). Was honest and nice, overall pleasant experience, I will definitely return!

Quincy Auto Center on 330 Quincy Ave is the best auto shop in Quincy. The owner Peter and his mechanics are so professional and honest. I have nothing but praise for how I ve been treated by Peter and his mechanics time and time again . If you are looking for a honest shop this is the place. I have recommended all my family, friends and any one who is looking to have there car repaired.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

Si is really good and the prices are reasonable. He will be honest with you on what can wait like today he mentioned my brakes will need replacing but not for 3 months or so. We shall see.

Took the car there to check a problem I was having with the breaks the guy didn t really checked the car just took a look at it and told Me it would be over a 1,000 to fix it. Took it somewhere else the guy checked a few things told me there was air on the lines fixed right away and charged me 80 bucks. Ether they don t know what they re doing or they were trying to rip me off but ether way won t me going backService: Brakes

I took a used car I was looking to purchase here for a pre-sale inspection. The price was great and the results were honest. They did a thorough enough check on it to discover bad flood damage that's not obvious to the buyer unless you really get under and into the undercarriage. Saved me thousands!!!

I went for an inspection sticker. I didn't have to wait long; they were able to do the inspection right away. There were plenty of seats and a television in their waiting area

Garbage place, false advertising about the hours. They are open until 6, not 7pm. They have 2 buildings, and if you want an estimate get there by 5pm at the latest...otherwise their closed. They have a sign for state inspections on Saturdays, but the inspector isn't there. False advertising and the worst service, don't go since there are much better places to go. If I could I would give it 0 stars. Garbage place.

Won t go anywhere else- they ve never tried to rip me off, or upsell. Common issue I ve found elsewhere bringing a vehicle in as a woman.

Called to do TNC inspection for my car.Was busy, still assisted me, quickest 10 minutes of my life.I'll be coming back for regular mass inspections and anything else.

I went to this auto body to get some work done on my car. The person at the front desk was very unprofessional, he wouldn t even look up at me or go outside to check my car when I told him what s wrong with it. When another customer came in he building he immediately attended to this person leaving me there with frustration. I wouldn t recommend this auto body at all!

Ive been going here for many years. Unlike my old car, they never seem to fail me. Always get things fix with a decend price.
