I can't say enough good things about this guy! Denzil is the best combination of a master mechanic and your next door neighbor. He knows your name, is so honest and forthright, and is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. After I'd used him a couple of times and knew the quality of his character I just told him to pretend that his wife is driving the truck and do whatever needs to be done. He takes impeccable care of my vehicles, saves me money when he can, and always stands behind his care. I'd recommend him to anybody.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

I have brought all of my vehicles to Denzil since 1990. He always fixes my vehicles quickly and shows me the used parts that caused the problem in the first place. He w take the time to explain why the problem occurred and sometimes he comes up w different options for me to have it repaired depending upon my budget. Once you have done business w him once you w realize he is honest, hard working and has your best interest in mind when he is repairing your car.

Best Mechanic in town!Denzil and his wife have been taking care of all our family cars for years. And now I also take my business van and truck there. We trust him, he never never does any work that is not needed, it's obvious that he is more interested in a long term relationship with his customers then overcharging or doing something that is not needed. That's why we keep going back to him! And when work is actually needed he always calls and asks ahead of time to get our agreement. He always shows us the parts that need replacing and explains exactly what is going on. He works really hard and is a very honest man. He takes great pride in doing his work well and goes out of his way to be helpful. We really appreciate him in our family.

I've been going to Denzil since the early 90s. He does and honest job for a fair price. Excellent customer service and a dedication to quality you don't find often in a mechanic.

I had originally brought my 1998 Toyota 4Runner with 253k in for an oil change and some other small work. After hearing that Denzil, the owner, was a Toyota master tech and had worked on that series 4Runner since brand new, it certainly put me at ease knowing that he knows what he's doing. One of the concerns I had was that the car was running hot, especially in stop and go traffic. While he was unable to verify the concern upon first visit he gave the car a thorough inspection and was unable to find any issues with the cooling system and found no giveaway signs of head gasket failure. He did find a few other things that needed attention and was honest about what was really bad, what could wait and what it would cost. He suggested, for the running hot issues that we replace the thermostat as I had no record of it being replaced before and see if it clears up. It didn't.So I brought it back for Denzil to diagnose what the cause was and it was indeed a head gasket. He explained that exhaust gas was leaking into the coolant system causing excessive pressure. Again he was very upfront and direct about what my options were and what I should expect as far a cost was concerned.Long story short, I've decided to get rid of my 4Runner for a newer one. But, if you live anywhere near Plymouth and need an honest, reliable, and fair mechanic, I can't recommend anyone higher than Denzil at D'souza Automotive!

Have used Denzil and his crew for many years. He is thorough and reasonable, and is the primary reason my 1997 Honda CRV went 394,000 miles before I traded in in 2013. Rely on him; outstanding.

Bad reviews on Yelp are hidden. Did a service against my authorization, I found that he is not ASE certified, and beat on my car. I don't know what qualifications he has, if any, but ASE assures me he is not and was never certified by them.I read the positive reviews, one stating he is a master mechanic, and decided to go there. He asked me, how did I hear about the place, I told him I looked for an ASE master mechanic and he said oh.The car has a new turbo engine and backfires because it needs a tune. It was not my intent for him to look into that, I was there for other reasons, so I disclosed that information to save us the conversation. He tells me he can tune it, which I know he can't because there is no dyno. Well, I dropped off my car and called the following week and he told me it was "on the back burner" and he had not worked on it. Later, he calls me and says the car does not backfire and what I heard was the sound of bouncing off the rev limiter... I did not want him to look into the backfire and more importantly, why would you hit the rev limiter on a customer's car?? I don't even do that on my own car. For those that don't know, bouncing the rev limiter happens if you floor the gas pedal and drive the car on it's maximum rpm limit without shifting up or with a delayed shift. It is the most stress you can cause on an engine. I don't even do this on my own car, I take care of it. I asked if he had changed the diff fluid and he said not yet. I told him, don't change it because I actually have a bottle of fluid at home and I will pick up the car. I was held up at work and went the next day.He charged me for changing the diff fluid.. yes, what I told him not to do.I asked him, did you know that I did not want you hitting the rev limiter and driving it hard? I said, the oil hadn't been changed, I didn't want you beating on it and his response was, it has enough oil and the oil is full. The front wheels were almost black with brake dust, indicating hard braking. After the trouble and money spent, my car was worse than when it came in. I paid someone to abuse my car in ways I don't even do.For someone that takes care of their car, this was the worst place I could have gone to. I can't think of a worse place to bring your car to than here. Bring your car to an ASE certified mechanic. To say that a backfire is actually the sound of the rev limiter is the most nonsense statement I have ever heard in my life. Backfire occurs on deceleration, so there was no reason to rev it to the limit. Ask anyone that knows a thing about cars.
