A rather disappointing experience after dealing with Mike and his son. I needed a wheel on the island and was told by the young Mike to go ahead and order them myself reluctantly after he held my wheel for over a couple weeks without ever ordering a tire. Upon receiving my new tires I then waited another week to get fit into the schedule to put them on. I was overcharged just to put wheels on which ok that happens frequently on the island, however as soon as exiting the ferry to go home I had a flat and another within 48 hours of the service being done. I would of rather been told they could not service me than to have over spent, received poor service and still had to pay to have the work redone. I won t be back, even for gas, please choose another local business on the island to support for your auto needs.

Blew a tire on the way to MV. Ordered the new tires and got me in pretty quickly. Replacements we re done well and price was consistent with mainland. Hopefully don t need to come back anytime soon, but wouldn t hesitate if I did have to

Disregard Dylans review. I have known these guys my entire life and have been dealing with them for over 40 years. I recently had a bad experience with a mobile mechanic who totally messed up my truck and they had to go behind this moron and fix everything he did. Truck runs like a top and they were really fair with me. They are professionals at what they do, and a bunch of good people. Dylan must be talking about a different shop.

What an excellent place! Late on. Friday afternoon we got a flat tire. Bettencourt not only waited for us to being the car in, had a used replacement tire and has us out of their hair in less than 30 minutes! And they were so nice! Best garage experience for me.

Waited Three weeks to bring my car in to get checked out by Mike. they replace something that is completely out of the story of needing to be repaired and denied to go any further on a belt/pulley job. charged me over 200$ in parts that didn't need to be bought and removed at all. I'm confused I don't think I will be bring my vehicle back. Now I have no transportation to work as I was planning gotta bite your lip sometimes in life though

Mike and crew do an outstanding job. We have taken our cars there for years and had professional - done right - work in a caring, friendly island manner happen every time. Our old Exploders would have gone to the crusher long ago without their TLC.

Just state inspection, I live on the same Rd. Let me leave it over night for first thing in am. (I work nights, my 9 too 5bis 6 too 230am) quick painless, and I second the opinion Dylan's comment is about the garage located near the OB fire station.... Not sure what they do the but yep at people all day treat them like common sense is moronic and like they generally don't want to be there so why do hand them hard caught, these days, cash at prices above better more wrlcomong places. It's the only place I'll get an inspection, and one of the most fairly priced shops. a+ AAA if your talking on island only.

My father and I have had dealings with this garage for over 70 years. What Dylan wrote is impossible. I strongly suspect that he was confused as to what garage he was at. In fact, if a person is familiar with Oak Bluffs, they will know for certain what garage Dylan had the misfortune of doing business with. It was not the one owned by Mike.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. I was tagging along with my landscaper friend, as she had an appt with DeBettencourt for an inspection sticker. As soon as we pulled up to the garage, my friend got out and looked in the side room to ask for assistance. In less than 15 seconds, the owner charged over to the truck, yelling profanities at us and telling us to "get the F--- out of here," tried to get into the driver's seat of the truck, and when my friend protested, he said he "would smack her in the F--ing face." I have never seen behavior like this in my life! Needless to say, unless you want to be screamed at by a hyped-up aggressive maniac, be denied the service that you had arranged to get in advance, and have to deal with the police, you should be VERY wary of this establishment. I am still in complete disbelief.

Actually the worst car repair I ve gotten. Way overpriced and my car came back with more problems than it had when I brought it in. Also the mechanic forgot about the car for a week.

Wonderful experience. Had a battery issue. Solved on a Friday of a Holiday weekend - fast, well done, fair price and just so polite. Highly recommended.
