Great service with store manager, Jose, who swapped out my battery and got my car up and running. I appreciated all the extra things he did to make my choice of stores the best.

This is how it is at every single autozone. EVERY ONE. You go in you have a simple transaction you end up standing in line for half an hour while some old dude consults with some no-neck about some part. And then they get into a conversation about cars and the weather and god knows what.Order online to pick up and you will be waiting. And waiting. And waiting. When you know you're going to get into these consultations with customers, why not put them into one line where they can wait and not hold everyone up?Jose was very capable and polite and professional and apologetic so props to him, but as a corporation, auto zone needs to change how they do things.

Was sold the most expensive battery after asking for the most affordable option. Went to AutoZone to have battery checked. Employee came out to my car to test the battery, clamped the device to the terminals, looked like he had no idea what he was doing. Went back inside to get a read out. He told me the test wasn't working. He didn't seem to know why the test wasn't working. He said that I might need to let my battery charge more. I asked if I could run over to stop n shop and buy some lunch while my car idles and charges and then test it again. He told me that I couldn't use a stall in their parking lot to charge my car battery.I drove off and came back an hour later with my car battery charged. The manager tested my battery this time and told me it was bad. I asked what the most affordable option was and he told me "the recommended battery is $249. I again asked him "okay, but what is the most affordable option?" He said " well, this is the recommended battery that fits in your vehicle, so..." after asking him twice about my options I was led to believe this was the only battery fit my vehicle. I purchased the battery only to find out later that it was the most expensive option they had in store and there are 6 or 7 batteries I could have chosen from. The one I would have chosen is $50 less.

I've yet to have a bad experience. Staff is friendly, selection is decent, my only complaint is the pricing. Location is proximal- right off Route 5 (aka King Street) in Northampton, in front of Stop and Shop and Liquors 44 and across the street from the Potpourri Plaza. Handicap accessible location with parking along Route 5 as well as closer to the entrance.

This morning I took my new Honda HRV for inspection here. This afternoon I now have a groaning sound everytime I put up the window on the driver side. Noticeable and sustained this noise, which was absolutely not there when I drove up to this state appointed inspection site. There has to be some recourse for consumers like myself. The owner's response was "I can't.imagine anything we would have done in the inspection process that would cause that. Call your dealer."!!!!! This is a new car. Maybe I need to file a complaint with the BB. Don't take your care here. I took would give a 0 rating if I could.

Outstanding customer service from Jose! I wasn't sure which headlight bulb fit in my Honda, and not only did he come out to look under the hood for me, but he ended up installing the new bulb. And it was not exactly warm outside either. Highest possible marks for Jose's extra mile customer service!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don't normally write any reviews, but I have to warn people . They lied to me about my car battery and convinced me to spend $160 that I didn't need to spend. I came in to get my battery checked, and an employee named Johnathan M tried to use the car battery tester but seemed to not know what he was doing or even where to connect it onto my car. He resulted in telling me that my battery was bad and convinced me that I needed to buy a $130 new battery, but refused to install it for me (even though they advertise free installation). He then charged me an extra $22 for the core of the battery since he couldn't install the new one. I had to go to a mechanic to install my new battery and thank god the mechanic checked my current battery before installing the new one. He told me my battery life was FINE, invited me into the shop to actually show me the battery tester and gave me a printout from the tester indicating that my battery was fine. He asked me who checked it at AutoZone and he knew exactly who I was talking about so Johnathan M apparently already has a bad reputation. Luckily I was able to return the battery that I bought and get a refund, but this Johnathan M guy obviously had no idea what he was talking about and just lied to me to cover up the fact that he didn't know how to check my battery.

Every time I come into autozone in Northampton I always ask for Jose. He is quick, professional and honest. Sometimes I m a good drive from Northampton and have other auto parts stores closer but if I have the time I will always come to Northampton because of the service Jose provides. It s exceptional to the point where I felt it necessary to make this review. If you re in the area and need good service don t hesitate to come to this store and ask for him!

Never in my life have I experienced what justhappenefat just happened to me at this auto zone!!! .the Latino man was so rude and arrogant, I asked him to please look at the bolts on cover of cylinder case, nope didn't do it, wanted me to plug in code reader and when I tried to explain to him it won't cause engine light is flashing due to cylinder and car is misfiring he said no it was because someone reset it, then i asked him again if I could use socket and he ignored me, I stood there for a few minutes, he kept ignoring me, so I left. Then I remembered why I don't ever go there.

Buy parts and supplies regularly from AutoZone. It's always a mixed experience. Sometimes the visit yields apart immediately and everything is good and quick and other times it's a big hassle. I brought in coupons downloaded from online that say they're good in the store and then the store says they never accept those because they can't figure out how they work. Recently ordered parts online and they were somehow lost by Federal Express. But was charged for the merchandise.

I needed a new battery so called them to see if it was in stock. Over the phone, the guy let me know they have the battery, but would not be able to install it for me because of the location of the battery (trunk) and their corporation's current COVID policies (can't go into the trunk). That was really valuable information for me. Since he told me that over the phone, BEFORE I drove all the way to the shop with a bad battery, I avoided a big inconvenience. Professional and courteous. Appreciated!

Incredible customer service. In the 10 minutes I was in there, I heard Jose help me and 3 other customers that came in. Super friendly, gave great advice, and as a retail manager myself, I can tell that he s great at his job in ways most customer won t even notice. This is my new go-to auto parts store!

was an unusual experience, the guy started shaking his head while I was speaking, interrupted me and said he cant help me because they dont help people anymore, people have to know what they want before they arrive. didnt even ask me what car I drive. just stared at me until I left. nothing like the commercials I've seen for years lol . luckily its only my break lights. nothing important. there are plenty of competitors, spend what little you have left right now somewhere else. trust me.

The employees here are always extremely courteous and helpful. I came in for new wiper blades, but didn't know what to buy. They asked my price point, and found something that fit the budget without trying to upswell or pressure me.They even helped me install the new blades, despite the store being quite busy at the time. The gentleman who helped me was extremely polite, didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing him whatsoever, and was extremely quick and professional.I would highly recommend this store to anyone for a quick fix or part purchase.

I went in to buy light bulbs for my tail light and license plate light, expecting to replace them myself. Two guys came out and took charge and did the replacement, so happy to help. I could have easily done the tail light myself. But the license plate bulb was hidden behind a panel that was very hard to pull off. It would have taken me at least twice as long. Thank you so much!

Rick Medas helped me with my oil low light and then noticed that my battery had corrosion on the posts. he promptly got a battery tester and did a reading. it said it was 100% so no need to change it although he said he would replace it right then if it had read low. Just told me to clean the posts at home better then his initial brush off. refused a tip. He was just awesome. I will definitely return there whenever needed. highly recommend it later.

friendly and knowledgeable staff, witch is great when you don't want to walk around the store to look for it, I read of a list not only did he know where the stuff was, he hustled to get it. it was a nice change in customer service.

Had a check engine light, the staff helped us run a code and find out what the issue was.With this we were able to know what we were getting into when we went to the mechanic.Friendly staff that was patient with me and my kids!Will be back

Quick and easy battery replacement.Not from this area, battery dies and after a jumpstart I head over got the exact fit for my make and model from the representative and install took less than 5 mins.Everyone in the store was helpful and friendlyThanks again guys

Excellent customer service! I went in to get a replacement brake light bulb. I asked someone to come out to the parking lot to help me figure out which light was out. Adam was happy to help. After figuring it out I popped my trunk and Adam went to work removing the faulty bulb. We went back inside to find the replacement and he disappeared behind the counter and then emerged with a bulb in hand. Turns out they had a box of spare bulbs loos in a box. He proceeded to go back outside and installed the bulb. Job done! I asked what I owed and he said "Your all set" then shook my hand. Thanks for the great customer service Adam!
