Had a great experience buying a car through CarVana. The website was easy to use and I was able to purchase a car in about a week.I ended up choosing a 2017 Hyundai Tuscon with about 85,000 miles. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted by a nice salesman who told me to wait while my plates were processed. Everything was completed in about 30 minutes.I would definitely buy another car this way again. It was hassle free and refreshing!Only complaint is that they didn t give me the car with a full tank of gas. Most car dealerships do that when buying a new vehicle. This would have been a nice addition to the purchase.Grade: B+

Stay away from this company I was an employee here for only a month an a half. When hired I was told I was on contingent until my background check came back. A week went by and I was told that my background check was cleared. On February 19th my personal car was hit by another employee driving their carvana hauler. When I asked the job for their insurance company they was hesitant and not willing to give it to me. The next day I go into work and I asked them for it again and they still refused to give it to me everyone acted like they didn t know the company insurance. So a week goes by and I m still not given the insurance. Then on my day off Monday 26 I receive a phone call from the job stating that I am fired when I asked why they stated it was because of my background check, after I was already told my background check was cleared.So I mention to the manager that it was funny how my car was parked and hit by another employee in the company hauler last week and now I m fired. Then on top of that I was still not given the company insurance until later that day on Monday the 26 a whole week later and now I m fired.My car still has not been fixed and when I call the insurance company/ adjuster nobody picks up the phone nor do they call you back. Even my mechanic kept calling and no answer. We tried calling the supervisor and no answer.STAY AWAY FROM CARVANA.CARMAX IS WAY BETTER.

Talk about a great story turned into a nightmare. My wife traded in her vehicle earlier this month for a premium vehicle. The online process went smoothly, and we were given a pick up date. Two hours on the delivery day, my wife received a call stating the vehicle has not yet arrived at the delivery center, therefore the vehicle won't be ready for pick up. No big deal, they rescheduled for a week later.Fast-forward a week later, we received another call stating the vehicle needs a battery and it won't be ready for the pick up time. I insisted that I will be picking up the vehicle even if it's on a AAA flatbed truck. Once we arrived, the vehicle was left up front, dirty, not detailed, not prepared for a proper delivery. I had to pressure the manger once again to let him know that I'll be taking delivery of the vehicle today and CARVANA does not need to worry about the battery.Customer service is appalling; the worst I've ever encountered. I had to do the problem solving for them, and not once did they offer a solution or compensation for the inconveniences they caused.I ended up having AAA jump the vehicle and we had to drive it to the nearest dealership to get the battery replaced.In case you don't believe me I have uploaded pictures of the vehicle's condition

Really easy process. Everything is pretty much done online. Once you accept the online offer all paperwork is completed electronically. After that a carvana rep comes out to inspect the car and then gives you a check.It was really easy and stress free. Much easier than dealing with a car dealership.I would recommend it to anyone looking to sell their car and would definitely do it again.

Great experience with Carvana. Purchase went super smoothly. All of the staff there were wicked nice. My car was freshly cleaned & detailed so it looks beautiful. My only issues & the reason for a 1 star loss is that the key fob battery said it was low when I got in to start the car & ot was on empty with 28 miles left in the tank. I had a 2.5 hour drive home. I would have thought for the amount I paid, a new key fob battery & a full tank of gas would be included. So -1 star. Otherwise, easy as pie purchase & pickup.

I had a great experience, the car was ready when I arrived and it clearly had been washed thoroughly. The let me inspect the car before filling out paperwork, and the registration process took about an hour. All in all a very seamless experience.

Carvana will charge you a non refundable shipping fee before you are truly approved for financing. If you re not approved the fee is non refundable and you end up paying it anyways. There is no way to get approval before paying this fee. Be careful shop elsewhere if possible.

As a repeat customer of Carvana, my initial experience led me back for a second vehicle purchase. However, my latest encounter has prompted me to share my insights, particularly concerning the transparency and customer service aspects of the transaction.Upon delivery of my vehicle, I discovered a significant scratch on the navigation console screen, measuring 8 inches in length. This defect was not disclosed in Carvana's listing. The next day, efforts to address this with Carvana resulted in a referral to their warranty partner, SilverRock, who deemed the damage as "standard" and not covered. As the scratch can t be repaired, I was quoted $10,000 to replace the screen, highlighting the severity of the oversight.The core of my concern lies not in the wear of a used vehicle but in the accountability for accurately representing the vehicle's condition. Further exacerbating this issue is the opacity surrounding the criteria used to classify damage as "standard." Despite multiple inquiries, I was informed that the guidelines informing these decisions are internal and not accessible to customers. This lack of transparency is troubling, as it seemingly allows for discretionary claim denials without a clear, objective standard accessible to the buyer.I am currently within my 7-day money-back guarantee period, but I had hoped for a resolution that would not require me to return the vehicle. As a customer, my expectation is for Carvana to take responsibility for the accuracy of their listings and to offer reasonable solutions when discrepancies arise. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience.Given these experiences, I am disheartened to say that I can no longer recommend Carvana to friends, family, or anyone reading this review. This decision comes from a place of concern over the potential for others to face similar issues without a transparent and fair resolution process.

I ve sold previous cars to both Carmax and Carvana. While the Carmax facility is way nicer, Carvana offered me 2k more on this most recent sale. Overall it was a quick and easy experience.

I first did Carvana in 2018 and it was great they dropped it off and I had no complaints. So I decided to go again and get another car with them. First I was there a few minutes earlier than my 12:30pm appointment because I love over an hour away. Everyone in the office was so rude and didn t even smile and I didn t feel welcomed at all. Someone finally told me to sign in and just wait in the waiting area. While waiting they were decluttering the waiting area and I felt like it could have been done after everyone left. The employees that were doing the decluttering didn t even acknowledge me or anyone there waiting. I get it just something to look for in the future for anyone else there waiting. During this time I waited over 30 minutes to get the car, the person who helped me with my paperwork was nice. The EV I got was at 15% and not even charged. Living over an hour from home I had to go and find a charging station which was very inconvenient. Also finding 2 vape pens inside the car was very annoying and just unprofessional as well. Side mirror was chipped and scratches inside the car which was never in the post for the car. Overall very disappointed.

I had a 12:30 appointment today to pick up my car from Carvana. I received a call at 10:30 that a power line was down by the building but no information beyond that. 8 minutes before my appointment I received a text that they were rescheduling my appointment and the car wasn't there. I drove 7 hours round trip for no reason. The driver didn't deliver the car and I wasn't notified until I was already there. Carvana completely dropped the ball on communicating with me that there was an issue. Absolute garbage experience.

Worst car buying experience of my life. Beware when signing your online purchase agreement. There is extremely little leeway for the customer when delivery issues happen. You will be stuck waiting until they can get the car there. So if you are in need of a vehicle and cannot wait past the designated delivery date you will just have to hope and pray everything works smooth. It did not turn out to be a smooth process in any way for me.Purchased a car through carvana. Was supposed to be picked up Monday the 18th at 530 pm. Received a message at 3:00 pm that the car would be ready at the arraigned time. At 4 pm while on my way to the Carvana vending machine received a call that the car would not be able to be picked up because of a tree down due to inclement weather (understandable) Then found out via the Headquarters that my vehicle never made it on the truck to be shipped. Was rescheduled to be picked up Thursday the 21st at 5:30 so unfortunately I would have to leave work early again. On the way to pick it up Thursday received a phone call at 4:10 that the car was again not delivered to the pick up point and instead delivered to the office 30 minutes away in Framingham. I was frustrated and had had it with this delivery service. Had to wait another hour and a half finally getting my vehicle close to 6pm. The staff was extremely rude telling me and my girlfriend that the headquarters had no idea what they were talking about when talking about the Monday delivery because they did not work at their location. I then called headquarters again (headquarters was extremely friendly and understanding) all in all would absolutely never purchase a vehicle through them again. Would have rather have just cancelled but then would have had to give up the 900$ delivery fee.Would have given 0 stars if possibleEdit to review: the 24/7 chat they tell you to use to help fix a situation is not a chat that goes through the specific pickup site you use. It goes through their headquarters. As I see it they do not deal with their own management and employee issues. I stand by my previous review. I was never reached out to by any person in this office. The headquarters management did however somewhat help to fix my situation and also helped me put in a formal complaint against multiple employees at the Norfolk, MA office.

Wish i could give 0 stars to this whole company. Bought a car, got it june 15th and it was in the shop before july. In the shop 3 more times put less than 1500 miles on it and i get a call from the shop AGAIN TODAY stating im going to need a new engine. Absolute frauds stay away if at all possible. Worst company ive ever dealt with all they do is sell lemons they pick up all over the country. Complete joke of a company go anywhere else but thru these clowns

Grateful, thankful, although some had bad a experience as I read through the reviews, I can t say the same.I love my car, the price, a bit of a high APR but we will bring that down eventually.I ve also had great, friendly customer service! Thank you Carvana!!!

They sold me a 2017 Buick Encore. The check engine light came on during the ride home. It failed inspection due to a bad catalytic converter and illegal tint. They traded it out for a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. It passed inspection. Less than two weeks later, I took it to see my parents 3 hrs away. The check engine light came on. I took it to their approved service center for a diagnostic test. Same code for the catalytic converter popped up. They recommended I take it to the dealership since the cat. converter was supposed to be covered under the factory warranty. Turned out that it's an aftermarket cat. converter and not covered. Now, I'm essentially stuck with a broken hunk of junk because their only two options are a repair that isn't possible or nullifying my financial agreement, leaving me without a car. Avoid Carvana at all costs.

Super easy. Showed up early to my appointment and still managed to be in and out in about 30 mins. That includes them taking my trade in and me test driving the new vehicle. No problems with new vehicle either. Carvana also have me much more for my trade in than most other dealerships were offering

An overall negative experience. My purchase was delayed three separate times throughout the buying process. When the truck finally did arrive it came damaged and over an hour outside of my delivery window. The delivery truck had been rubbing against the paint of the truck i purchased as it was being delivered.Furthermore the truck showed up dirty and was never properly cleaned inside or out. Lastly after linking my bank account my payment failed three separate times. On the last time they notified me two days before my 7- day trial ended. When my payment finally did work i had to check in on that confirmation nothing was ever said to me unless something failed. Not once was i ever offered any type of compensation or anything really for all these issues. I just think this experience could have been so much better in a number of ways.

Reading reviews I was worried something would go wrong, but everything was perfect. Shopped on app, picked up vehicle as promised. When we arrived we had to sign form before they could register vehicle, so me and my wife went to breakfast while they registered vehicle and when we came back everything was all set.

We just picked up our car yesterday. The carvana experience was lovely. We shopped for a car online for weeks, found one we liked that had free shipping and set a date. We live in NH, so the most annoying part was getting a notarized LPOA to get the plates. My son and I went to see the car. It was waiting out front for us. We walked in and the gentleman who helped us said "Check it out, take it for a drive, whatever you need to do and let us know if you want the car." He handed me the keys and we proceeded to check through all the systems and then went for a drive. It was detailed, the engine compartment was clean, I mean the car was really well prepared for us. BUT. As soon as I turned the car on the check engine light came on. Bummer. I told them I liked the car, but didn't want a car with a check engine light. He gave us 3 options: come back in a few days and it will be fixed, bring it home and use the factory warranty, or bring it home and use the carvana warranty. Given we had a 4 hour round trip, I opted to take it home and hope for the best with the warranty. Regardless, the experience was great, the staff was helpful and it took us 2 minutes to sign the paperwork and leave. We may or may not keep the car depending on what my mechanic says about it, but the experience was great. I'd highly recommend carvana in Norfolk.Update: Our mechanic said the car was in tip top shape, so we decided to keep it. The rear brakes were the worst part of the car and they were at a 7/10.

I am still waiting for my registration from carvana. They have requested multiple kinds of documents for address verification. I've sent them documents on four different occasions. Meanwhile the clock is ticking. Three days before my temp registration from carvana ran out they said I had an unpaid ticket from easy pass toll I forgot about. I paid it. Still I've received no communication about getting my vehicle registered. It is now two days past due and I' drove illegally for one day and had to call n sick for the other day. I'm struggling right now to find a ride to work for tomorrow because I can't continue driving an unregistered vehicle and getting towed. I've been very patient this whole time I've been very cooperative, I have seen none of my good faith returned to me. Phone calls speaking with carvana reps continue to get me nothing but wasted time. I still can't fathom how it has come to this. Update: I just got off the phone once again w carvana. They assured me that I would have my registration dealt with within 24 to 48 hours. They told me to drive my car like normal until then. If I were to be pulled over due to my overdue paper license plate carvana told me to tell the police that carvana says "it's okay" and my lack of registration is being remedied and that I don't need to worry about getting a ticket and having my car towed for no registration. It's far from the first time I've been told that everythings "all set". I'm concerned about a ticket and towing charges being added to my already missed day of work. Just wanted to say how much of a pleasure it has NOT been! I won't even go into all the other minor in comparison things that have not been addressed thus far.

I took a lyft over to pick up my truck and they had it outside in front. Soon as I walked in they welcomed me there. Yes there was other ahead of me and other that was more streamlined over me. But so happy and very happy with them there. Even to this day! I still fall in love with my truck and how carvana helped with the truck sale.

Awful experience with CarvanaI sold my car to Carvana on 9/8/23. I was told that the Carvana tow truck they sent was not working properly, so they wouldn't be able to pick up my car. Additionally, their paperwork was wrong. I was told to deposit the check that was provided to me, which I did. Then 10 minutes later, I was told that the check had been stopped and would need to be reissued. Further, all of the paperwork needed to be amended and initialed.A supervisor got on a call with the Carvana representative and myself. The supervisor was arrogant, misrepresented their payment options and wanted to talk over me. The supervisor stated that a replacement check would be sent to me via overnight mail and that I would receive an email with the tracking number. I have received no communication regarding my payment and no payment for my vehicle. Today a third party tow company came and took the vehicle with no prior notification to me.It is 6 calendar days since I sold my car to Carvana and I have not been paid.I am giving this 1 star because the original Carvana representative that came to my house was very friendly and easy to work with. Otherwise, I would give them 0 stars.

I recently had the opportunity to use Carvana, and I must say, selling my car was an incredibly smooth experience. The entire process took me just 10 minutes online to input the necessary information and receive an offer. When it came time for the scheduled drop-off, signing a few documents took me only 5 minutes. I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional staff at this location, who made the entire transaction seamless.

Despite receiving status emails leading up to my purchase date that my vehicle had arrived, etc. when I showed up at the pickup time they said they had just received my car and it would be a minimum of an hour to have it detailed and prepped for me.Aside from waiting that period of time, the car was expertly cleaned, the staff was helpful filing claims for a couple of items that were missing from the car.This was my first experience buying a used car, so it was a learning experience. Not everything will be perfect, not everything will be in the car as expected, but all in all I was quite happy with the car. Be sure to get the extended warranty, and note that even though they list items in the listing, the vehicle may not come with them.

Upon picking up our vehicle, we were informed that it had sustained some damage in the transfer. We were advised to submit a claim with carvana so that we could be compensated for the damage. What we were NOT told is that the claim needed to be submitted within 7 days. Furthermore, it s 7 days from the end of business the day BEFORE to the actual pick up. We picked our vehicle up on a Friday, and when we went to submit the claim on the following Friday, we were informed that it was too late. So now will have to pay for those damages, even though there was photographic evidence documented by the carvana employee at the time of pick up. Several other difficulties occurred during the purchase process, all due to errors and inconsistencies by carvana employees. Worst customer service and worst experience buying a vehicle.
