Horrible customer service. I dropped off before 7:30 and was told when I made the appointment it would take 3-4 hours. I was called around 7:50 (missed the call) and called back around 8am and was told what they were doing / that I d get an update once they knew more. I didn t get called until 2:20, no update in between as I was told there would be. Then was told I need new brakes even though I just got new brakes done at this location less then a year and half ago. When I said on the phone that, it s a little ridiculous since I just had my brakes replaced not even a year and half ago at this location , I was told to calm down . Even though my tone and volume were calm. How extremely rude and condescending. I was in a room with some coworkers during this phone conversation and they were all appalled by this comment as well. I highly doubt that comment would be made to male making the same comment as myself. Also my comment is valid as brakes last way longer then a year and a half. I ve gone here in the past and had good service with no issue. However after this most recent service I am extremely dissatisfied.

Good tire shop but I have to deduct major points because they will not sell me 2 new snow tires for the front of my fwd car. Their policy is I must buy 4 new snow tires for a total cost of well over $1000. Nope, I ll take my business elsewhere. Shop said not doing the rear also could cause transmission issues which again in a fwd car I don t understand at all personally I think they re just trying to rip off customers.Edit for reply: yes I obviously understand not having $600 worth of brand new rear snow tires will increase the risk of losing traction on your rear tires when stopping or cornering on snow. That being said, I ain t spending $600 to replace perfectly fine tires that easily pass MA state inspection, and I m leaving this negative review because your company policy forces me to replace tires that easily pass MA state inspection.

Been using Sullivan for over 10 years and the West Newton office is always spectacular. The service is excellent and the pricing is very competitive. I buy my tires through them now and get all tire repairs or winter rim swap-outs done there.

Great service! Walked in for a repair to my tire that had a nail embedded in it. They were able to fix it for me within 30-45 minutes. Recommended!

I am honored and pleased to share my commendable experience in procuring tires at Sullivan Tire, Newton MA. The epitome of excellence was personified in Michael, who exhibited unparalleled assistance, courtesy, and went above and beyond to ensure the optimal tire configuration for my vehicle. Grateful for such a positive encounter, I have resolved to entrust all my future tire-related needs to Sullivan Tire.Regrettably, my initial tire procurement endeavor upon my return to Boston in April 2023, at Town Fair Tire in Medford, was marred by a wholly disparate experience. Interactions with Brian were far from satisfactory, marked by a lack of courtesy, condescension, insults to my intelligence, and an outright attempt to deceive. This was further exacerbated by the unnecessary recommendation of a new set of wheels and tires that did not align with the specifications of my vehicle. Adding insult to injury, they even lost my wheel center cap. In stark contrast, Michael exemplified the antithesis of such an experience, treating me with the utmost respect.Given this stark juxtaposition, I have unequivocally decided to discontinue any association with Town Fair Tire. In gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Michael at Sullivan Tire, I am committed to making Sullivan Tire my exclusive choice for all my future tire-related endeavors.

I was in town and had a slow leak (ugh!). Found Sullivan s the night before and submitted a request to have an appointment and get it fixed quick because I was just visiting and traveling home. The workers were unbelievably kind and quick with their work. So fairly priced as well, $30 for a quick tire fix! I d recommend!

This store recently tried to scam me out of almost $1000.I called, somewhat desperately, Thursday morning with a screw in my tire that was profusely leaking air, looking for an appointment/asking if they had time for a walk in. Luckily, I noticed the hole at 7:15 so I was able to call right when they opened, and I was able to leave it there to be looked at. I went back to work anxiously waiting for a callback because my job involves traveling, and when I do get a call, I am told that 1.) the screw was in a spot that could not be patched and that they d have to replace that tire. 2.) That my front two tires treads are so low that they legally needed to be changed. 3.) That they would not replace my punctured tire without replacing my front two tires, and that they were legally obligated to change the front two tires if they did any work on my car. So they quoted me for some outrageously high number, $950+ for all of the repairs. In addition to not wanting to spend almost $1000 on a screw in my tire, it all sounded funny to me my car is brand new. I just bought it in April, so I know there is no way my tires are THAT bad! I declined the suggested repairs and picked up the car. Thankfully, an employee did offer to put air in my tires, after hearing me struggle to fill the flat caused by the screw on my own with a portable air compressor I had in my vehicle. After taking my car back to work, and having AAA put on a spare tire for me, I was able to get an appointment at Honda. Fortunately, my car was due for other maintenance, so I took the car in the next day and they did a multi-point inspection and B maintenance service, in addition to fixing my tire. When I picked up my car, not only had they repaired my tire, but my car had passed inspections, and when I specifically inquired about the status of my front wheels they assured me that there was no problem with them, and that they won t have to be replaced for awhile. In total, at Honda I spent less than $400 (less than $50 for the tire repair).Thankfully this Sullivan Auto location in Newton didn t trick me, but warning to other potential patrons (perhaps especially female or young patrons).

Avoid this shop. The first guy came to my home to replace the back glass of my car.He did such a bad job that messed up with the spoiler by breaking few screws in and had to glue the glass in resulting in car pieces coming down that first time I opened the trunk. They have this guarantee that if anything goes wrong they will fix it but it s been 4 months of back and forth that is really non sense.. 4 weekends messed up.First they ordered the spoiler (after 10 calls and 2 visits to their shop l) finally we got it but it was not colored matched. They got it painted.Next they replaced the spoiler and the glass didn t match!! they had to put the old spoiler back in.Now they have to order the new glass and I still need to come back here - a nightmare.

The pricing was very clear. The staff were very courteous and seemed to appreciate my business. It was absolutely wonderful to have the LYFT service to and from the appointment. Also, the work was done in a very reasonable amount of time. Sullivan Tire also had many choices of tires for me to select. Very pleased.

I experienced a very bad service at this location. I left my tire last Wednesday for fix, they told me we call you by tomorrow when ready, but no one called me back. I called by the end of the day, and they told me that the tire was ready, but the store was about to close, so I asked, when I can pick up my tire and you can put it back on my car. They told me tomorrow after 10 a.m. I showed up around 2 p.m. today and they told me that they do not have anyone now to put my tire back on the car. There was two people at least on the shop and could take probably 5 to 10 minutes for them put it back on my car. I used Sullivan tire to replace my tires, and for car breaks work in the past. I picked up my tire and I will be installed, but I won't use ever again Sullivan tire.

They refused to replace the winter tires that were on rims with the summer tires I had brought with me. Said they don't fit used tires. But I didn t even drive 500 miles on them before I changed to winter ones. Do I really need to have two sets of disks???? Disgusting service

I don't usually go to any auto shops but I came to this Sullivan Tire location. All i can say the service team were very PROFESSIONAL and EXCELLENT.My vehicle was serviced in a timely manner. The Manager provided great customer service and was very respectful and caring. He was also very knowledgeable about my vehicle and because of my budget he found me affordable tires. I would recommend this Sullivan Tire location to anyone who needs their vehicle service. Keep up the great work Sullivan Tires, Newton Team. I will be back. Thank you again. Happy Holidays.

Want to give a shout out to your newton location for their tremendous efforts and creativity to fix my car after they learned my car was made in Japan and no part could be found due to the current supply chain issue after extensive search in all the possible avenues including contacting dealer who told Steve good luck to find the part of my car. Steve, Eric, and others at Sullivan tires came up with a wonderful plan with a creative solution fixing my car which requires no parts but welding, which is truly amazing. They saved me a great deal time and money and most importantly I can drive my car without waiting 4 month to get the parts. I am very grateful to everyone at Sullivan Tire who helped to make this happen. Thank you!

Once again I have taken one of my three vehicles to Sullivan Tire in West Newton, MA. and once again I have been treated with the utmost Professionalism by Mike during my initial call, during the call when he reported to me what the problem(s) were with the tires. When I picked up my vehicle everything that Mike and I discussed over the phone was again told me what was done and completed in a timely manner. Mike was again professional, courteous and a pleasure to talk to.John C.

Same-day service because they stock the size tire needed. Very pleased with their efficiency, and no run-around with additional expenses. Price quoted on the phone was the price due at pickup.

Great location and great manager that goes the extra mile. An inspection at sullivan revealed that my local dealership who also did an inspection is exaggerating the severity of issues with my vehicle. Glad I found someone that's honest in the repair biz, thanks S.T.!

I wasn't necessarily going to post - but since Sullivan sent me a link requesting one, here it is. I started using Sullivan Tire in Newton last year. I've used them primarily for swapping my snow tires on and off - but also to replace a dead battery. Neither are particularly complex. I'd had good experiences with the Sullivan in Waltham several years ago.So far, I've been there twice - snow tires off, snow tires on. Both times, there were problems that required return visits. The first time, they didn't properly reset the tire pressure sensors, though I specifically asked them to make sure to do it with the tires away from the car. There was also an issue with a window switch not working after the battery replacement - but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a weird computer issue. However, I got my snows put on this month, and had much more significant issues. When I left initially, I noticed one of the shims that goes with my snow tire wheels was still in the car - so it was never put on and that could have caused a significant issue had I not caught it. Then a couple weeks later, I started hearing a concerning sound. This turned out to be due to a stud that was cross-threaded when putting on a lug nut.In all cases, they made things right, and were nice about it. But two out of two times, the work was careless, required multiple return visits and hypervigilance - and the recent oversights could have caused significant damage or worse. And honestly, though they were polite this last time, they were hardly apologetic.I won't be returning for a third chance.

I would absolutely go here again! They were so responsive, able to get my tire and as quickly as they did and stayed late to make sure I was safe and had my tire put on and balanced. They also helped Me with a ride when I was not able to get to my suv.

Good prices, average.Service is on the slow side. Probably due to the personal shortages. But otherwise, the fact that I got there year after year (I tried other places as well) shows that they are keeping pretty good balance between price/service.May be even 5 star for what it is.

EDIT: The manager called me and took me in the very next day. The computers were still down, still no appointments were being taken; but they did fix my tire while I was waiting. Error recovery was handled quite professionally and well.PRIOR - The service is not just poor - they simply do not want you there. The store seems to be run and managed so grotesquely that I wonder if this is not a money laundering operation and if the tire store is just a front... I came in for service THREE times, and all THREE times they turned me down. Once - because they were too busy and could not take me the same day; the second time - their balance was broken; and the last time, even though they accepted my appointment, because their front office computer was down.

Changed one of the tire sensors in the past. The next day, I saw my sensor had the light on so I brought my car to the center so that they could simply check the pressure. They said it must be due to cold weather and refused to do so by saying that all the staffs were busy. That s the service I could get from them after paying ~$200. At the end, I took my car to the other auto center and they just do it with free of charge.

Saved on the tires I wanted after comparing a few on line deals, Sullivans had a buy 3 get four tire deal that beat them all. Sullivans also worked around my schedule not theres.Overall I'm happy, just hoping the tires I bought are as good as the manufacture say their are.

I took my car in for an alignment, and they told me that some of the parts were frozen and it would cost 480 dollars instead of 89 dollars to perform the job. I took a car home put it up on jack stands, and found that nothing was frozen at all. The tie rod adjustment nuts came loose easily with hand tools. It is amazing; the reason the car was in there was because I had just replaced control arms and a shock absorber, so they knew I had some technical competence. and yet it seems they still try to take advantage of me. The good news is the manager called me about this review and was greatly concerned about what happened, and that it not happen again.
