I do all of my own maintenance with some rare exceptions, and I'm very picky about where I take my vehicles. I had a great experience here, though. Had new tires delivered, put on, and an alignment done.No issues at all, and actually one of the mechanics pointed out that I had a slightly bent wheel... which is extremely valuable insight.Would recommend.

An excellent experience! I brought my 2007 Audi A6 in to have the AC checked because we were in a tough heatwave this summer. Nate was very helpful and even attempted to save some money by exhausting all options. It turned out to be a failed AC compressor. Nate worked diligently to source a great quality replacement compressor and belt, installed them and tested once completed. I was back in business the next day. I was able to fight the hottest summer we ve had in ages! The whole process was easy and they contacted me to keep me up to date along the way. I will definitely come back again for all my regular maintenance as well!

Just watch out on the bill before you fishing paying your bill they add some fees that should not be on the bill to Jack up the prices so called miscellaneous fees no reason for those charges AT ALL !?

Extremely helpful! My accord ~79k miles had a problem with catalytic convert that needs to be replaced. I went to a mechanic shop nearby, they quoted me 2 k to fix it. Then I went to Monro Autho Service, the Manager immediately informed me that per environmental law the catalytic convert has a separate warranty normally up to 80k miles,and that I should go to dealership to have it replaced for free right away. Went the dealership, at first they pretended they didn't know anything about the cat warranty and wanted to charge me the full price for the parts and labor, until I pointed out they are not being honest, then they eventually backed off. Knowledge is power! Thanks to Monro Auto Service, I got my catalytic convert replaced for free. So big thanks to your integrity and professionalism!Highly recommend.

Gave some advice on winter tires by phone, which I appreciated but had me come in instead of place an order online so they could "check out my car" and take a deposit. So, when there I get a quote $150 over their web site price for the exact same tires and installation and even higher than competitors. When I pointed out the price difference, they came down $10. Felt like trying to get more money from me with a coming snow storm. Made an appointment for a better price elsewhere as soon as I got home. Wasted me time.

My brakes stopped working literally in front of this shop, so despite that....this was a great experience! The pricing for brake repairs/replacements is comparable to the area, i wish the company had more coupons though.The service was awesome, Nate & Marcus are knowledgable and professional. They had my brakes repaired quickly & picking up the car went smoothly. I'll definitely come back for maintenance!

Came in with a flat tire. Very friendly front office. Clear concise and told me upfront how long it would take. Worked with my fleet management without a hitch. Measured the tire and order the right brand.. Over delivered and called me within 45 minutes to tell me the job is done.In today day an age where good people are hard the come by he is a keeper.The mechanic was also pleasant and explained the tire pressure sensor .I will definitely come back again for oil changes. They right next to the dunkin donuts so you can get nice ice coffee and wait.Highly recommended.

I'm happy to report that the Newton location continues to offer exceptional and courteous service. Nate is a wonderful manager plus Marcus and the entire staff is very kind and knew their stuff. They will not steer you wrong (pun totally intended) and will not try to rip you off or get you to do things you don't need to do to your car. They are the epitome of old fashioned good business. They treat their customers the way they'd want to be treated and they are honest. As a person who does not know much about cars, they take the time to explain to me what they are doing and why so that I am fully informed and aware. They don't talk down to me or act as if I'm an idiot for not being a car expert. They are patient and gladly answer any question I have. I will continue to take my business here.

Top to bottom, a to z, Nate's team treated me and my ride like gold. Experienced, kind and professional the whole way through. They serviced the vehicle same day, gave me a great rate and were incredibly polite the entire process. Highly recommend. Very clean and sanitary.

I called Monroe looking for a battery on the coldest day of the year (it was 5 degrees) at 5:45 pm when they close at 7. Nate told me that he would be able to help me for less than three other places that my frugal self called. Not only was he able to replace mybattery for less, it was installed with the quickness before 6:30.Nate was very professional and courteous, him and the crew really helped my day turn out better after a horrific AAA experience I had dealing with Shadz Towing company.

I went there to get a few things done to my car and the service was excellent. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about my vehicle and had everything taken care of very fast. I am very pleased with the overall experience and would recommend this place to friends and family. The manager I spoke with (Nate) was very good at explaining what was happening with my vehicle. It s hard to find a reputable places like this.

Nate is very knowledgeable about mechanics and the electrical control systems, and good at debugging issues, he is also easy to work with. This time January 2023 we bought tires for my wife's car and he did better than Costco, with superior attention to me while working with other customers. I will return to Monroe because of Nate.

These guys really did me a solid. I called these guys after a Sullivan dropped the ball and forgot to order my tires, on a Friday before a long drive the next day. They stayed stayed an hour after closing to help me out and the job done. Made a great recommendation and helped me save some money in the process! Got to talking while I waited, really solid guys.

Extremely bad experience. Went there about one year ago for an oil change with a 14.99 coupon. It was displayed in front also, the oil change is 16.99 or something like that. But an arrogant guy told me they can't work for such low prices, but I said I have a coupon and it is written there too. However I didn't argue and gave the car and left, got it after few hours and he charged 32.55.I think he retaliated for asking for the lower price which he didn't give and I didn't insist also. I found that my fog light wires were cut and door lock lever inside the car on driver side was also broken. How can I prove that arrogant rude guy did it? There is no way but I have never taken this car to anywhere else. Never ever go to such a horrible place. No professional ethics or basic decency.

Nate and Marcus take care of all of my family's car repairs and maintenance. Every time we know we will get quality work at a fair price. They are knowledgeable and we trust their work. On top of it all is they are both quality people. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks guys!

I was very impressed by the manager's honesty. I Come with a battery that had been problematic and I asked him to check my battery and replace it if it needed to be replaced and to attach a battery minder (that I had purchased elsewhere) on either the new battery or the old battery. When I came back he had attached the battery minder to the old battery. The bottom line is that I was not charged anything for inserting the minder and to come back when the battery needed to be replaced. He did not make any money, but he certainly made a very happy customer who will be back and will be recommending this manager to others. Currently my old battery is working very well due to the addition of a battery minder.

I recommend this location, because of two people, Marcus and Nate. This was my first time visiting a Monro and I was hesitant to go with a different auto repair business. Being a woman and knowing just the basics about cars, one could understand my initial reservations and worry of being swindled. However, Marcus was kind enough to give my car a full inspection the same day I called making an inquiry about brake service and cost. He took the time to bring me to the car while it was on the lift and explain to me the issues and what each part is, which caused him to stay after closing time. He gave me a quote after, and I then shopped around with that information, and found that they offered the best prices. I brought the car in two days later first thing in the morning and had it back by the end of the day. Nate, the manager, was straight forward, knowledgable and answered all of my follow up questions patiently. My car is back in good shape thanks to them and I will definitely use them again for future auto work.

So thankful for these guys! I came out of work to a full puddle of oil under my car. I managed to get to the garage 30 minutes before they closed but they were so accommodating! They threw the car up on the lift and discovered that the oil plug was THIS CLOSE to coming out completely! They tightened the plug, found the oil cap that I had dropped when I was putting extra oil in the car, and made sure I was good to go! Thank you SO MUCH guys!!

Do yourself a favor and have your vehicle serviced at another shop One with honest staff who earns your business. As a previous business owner myself, I would rate Monro with "Bad Business Practices". The manager Nate is rude refusing to stand behind his work costing me over $2,000.00K. And corporate personal who take the complaint are very disrespectful. When the corpate manager finally called me back he hang up on me! Comparing market prices for parts and labor Monros are high offering little or no warrant. They come across consumed with meeting shop production goals and making bonus then providing services the customer really needs. Check out their postings on indeed.

I have had my car serviced and repaired at this Monro in Newton for the past few years and have been impressed by Nate and Marcus for their knowledge and skill. Not only are they friendly and upfront about what needs to be done, but also really care about cars and will go the extra mile to ensure the job gets done right.

The reasons for one star are given as follows. First, they promoted the oil change in $15.99. However, it ends up in $23.xx. Second, last year I get a diesel van and they asking for more than $130 to do oil change. They said because I am in high mileage(This is always their excuses to reject you.). While, I ended up in doing it in $20 by Groupon from others by regular oil change and It worked completely fine. I understand that gain. Third, I tried to make an schedule for my 06 Ford Fusion oil change. They said I have to dropped the car and they will call me back when it is ready. I can not make an appointment and wait which mean you might not be able to use your car the whole day. ok I understand their policy. I accept it and stop by and tried to leave my car for the oil change. At store they said I can not do the regular conventional and I have to choose the synthetic one which is double price than the conventional one. The reasons they gave are as follows: My car is over due than regular 3000 miles change and my one is around 5000.Second, my car is in high mileage(my car in 190.5k). Third, they said they are mainly repairing the car not oil change(then why you promoting?). Because they said my car have brakes and tie issues and I was not letting them fix it. The reason I am not letting them fix it because they are charging way more than others. In conclusion, the oil change in promotion is a joke. They are trying to find all kinds of issues from your car so that they can charge you more than necessary. If you reject their fixing, they find all excuse to reject you. My reviews are based on long term observations.

I had a great experience here! The staff was pleasant, patient, and didn't try to up-sell me. Nate and his crew went out of their way to get the job done, and explained things clearly and concisely. I plan to come back for for maintenance/repair work in the future. Thanks, everyone!

Nate of monroe is great! we were in route from ny and had a big rear shock probelm, and desperate to find help. He was very accomodating, and went our of his way , at the last minute, to "save the day" . Efficient, professional and supportive of cusotmers needs. highly recommmend this service!

Worst service I ve ever had. Was following up from a terrible brake job done by this location from a few months prior and the manager was rude and combative. I was led to believe I was getting a full brake service, but apparently they only did half, yet still charged me full price. Said he wasn t sure how long it d be to look at my car despite only one other vehicle in the garage. Will never go here again and I won t let anyone I know go here either.

I seldom post reviews, but I have to commend the crew at the Newton Monro. My rotors and brakes were in need of an urgent replacement. Nathan took care of everything the same day that I had dropped it off, and was friendly doing so. I'll be back!

Did a great job after local Ford dealer service had failed to properly diagnose a severe engine issue. Also corrected an issue with the Clutch that Ford service refused to deal with. Money well spent, 7 year old car now runs as good as new.

This shop does extraordinary work.�Ive been here to the Newton location many times, they exceed expectations everytime. Nate the manager is on point with customer care and is very personable. He has a vast knowledge of ham radios. His car has many antennas recembling a fishing schooner, its a conversation piece. I needed my air conditioner serviced before a heat wave...now my fuel efficient Toyota Prius is cool as a cucumber for my picky Lyft customers

My experience with Monro was excellent. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the customer service person was vey easy to talk to. They promptly fixed my problem and were flexible about the pick up time.
