Center Automotive continues to be a port in the storm whenever I have had car problems. Yesterday, my tire was flat, and my husband put a donut on it. The good guys at CA invited me to bring the car in, and they had a new tire on it within forty minutes. The radio in my car had not been working. They kindly fixed it for me without my having to ask and didn't charge me for doing so. Being a customer at CA is like having your dad there to fix not only the problems you recognize, but the ones you hadn't noticed as well. (Note: I am not related to any of the workers there. Nor do I have stock in the company. :)

My car chose to get a flat right next door to them. It turned out to be a lucky place to break down. They were very helpful and quick. They got me back on the road and did a state inspection in the same visit. If I'm in the area and need tires, or an inspection I will definitely choose them again.

Center Automotive is listed as a motorcycle inspection site. They do inspect motorcycles, except on Fridays. This information is not available on their web site. Make this information available, so customers will not waste time coming over to be told that you are not doing inspections on Fridays.

I very highly recommend Center Auto!! We have been using them for years now for both our cars! They are very honest and reasonably priced for repairs. Also, they have gone way above and beyond to help us find a new car when my 12-year-old pilot died in the middle of this car shortage. We will for sure be taking our new car to center auto for all of its repairs

We have been customers of Center Automotive for 25 years. During that time, their business has grown enormously due to their extraordinary service and overall customer oriented focus. Despite their success, they remain just as they were when they started out: Paul, Jim and the entire staff are prompt, professional and courteous. We cannot even count the number of times that they have bailed us out in a pinch. We would never consider having our cars serviced anywhere else. If we could give 6 stars, we would.

This is a top notch local auto repair shop. The mechanics are well versed in all facets of keeping modern cars running and can quickly diagnose most issues. What I especially like is that they will stick with the tough problem until solved. They have a large loyal customer base so it's best to be able to leave the car or use the key drop off box the night before.

STAY AWAY! My one experience is one of unfriendly, uncooperative staff. They would not put in writing what they told me. I took this to mean they were not telling the truth. Later, two other shops verified this. CA cost me $300. I expected capable, professional service. I was disappointed all three ways.

I have my maintenance done here and they always provide competitive rates. Just last week at 8am I noticed my tire was low on air. I called them and went to the shop. They took care of me within 20 mins and I wasn't late for work. I am very pleased with this shop's customer service. If you need a mechanic shop that is honest, then go here!

Good work at fair prices. Staff is very knowledgeable and honest about repairs. Shop does pretty much all types of repairs and state inspection. Has a waiting area or can drop off. They also have a courtesy van if you live or work locally.

Been taking our cars here for years. Great service, give great advice, never a complaint with their work. They have at times discouraged our having further repairs done as not worth the investment. We trust them enough to drop off a vehicle with an explanation of why, "and anything else it needs"; always been satisfied with what was done & why.

Paul and Jim know how to take care of you here. As with most auto shops, not all repairs are successful on the first pass. They are committed to making it work in the long run. It's worked for me - been a customer for 20+ years

Car repair is a tough industry for both the shop owner and the customer. I think Paul at Center Auto gets that, and wants to bridge the gap between these two parties. I can tell because he treats patrons with respect, articulates clearly, wears a smile, and provides services that are warranted & understood. He rolled one of my tires right into the waiting room to show me the life remaining, and options for replacement.Having to fix your car is the pits; Center makes it a less miserable experience.

I have known them for over 30 years and they have not failed me yet. They have saved me hundreds of dollars versus dealers over the years and have gotten me out of some terrible jams!Come here first, They are the only mechanics I trust, I can't recommend them more .........................

BEWARE. This garage charges ProDemand retail prices on factory parts from the manufacturer. They don't get parts from Napa Auto, etc, which are just as good but for half the price. My car is a 2005, and they charged me $1,200 for plugs, coils and a valve cover for a 4 cylinder Altima? Are you kidding me? Stay away from these guys unless your one of their wealthy Needham clients for which $1,200 doesn't mean getting screwed. Otherwise, it sounds like they're not concerned with repeat business.

I've been with Center Auto forever. I now live out of town and I still come back for service. They are trustworthy and if they say such and such needs repair or replacement then I know it must true.

They tried to charge me $80 for an oil change. This was the second time in a row I was "accidentally" overcharged here. Either they need to be more careful with their billing or it isn't a coincidence.

A complete rip-off.I need to replace my O2 sensor and this place quoted me $1000 where most other places asking for $250-400. They wanted to replace the whole fixture because the single thread holding the sensor was damaged. When I suggested replacing just the damaged thread with a bolt, I was told "We don't do mickey mouse job here." Next time, they should suggest me to replace the whole engine to fix that damaged thread.

Nice to go somewhere where you get great service -- and where you feel that you will *not* be ripped off. Nice people to deal with: they remember your name! Easy walk to Needham commuter rail station. Highly recommended!
