I went there for battery testing, they charged my battery for 3 hours and tested again. Especially the young guy was really helpful. Considering it was a free service, I really appreciate their willingness to help and explain.

Great location. It's convenient to not have to drive to Natick or Watertown for car parts. Support this store so it stays in Newton/Needham.The loaner OBD2 scanner tool is an asset for any DIY repair project.

I was in a precarious situation and these guys really saved me. My car died while I was visiting the area. I called to see if they had what I needed (on a busy weekend) and not only did they have the correct battery, they were even willing to install it for me. The service I received was top notch. They were courteous, knowledgeable, communicative, FAST, and reasonably priced. I almost hugged the technician who helped me out. They are awesome and deserve to be commended for their efforts.

I came in Monday evening with a dead battery around 6pm and the store manager, Marc, went above and beyond to provide me the best car care experience I ve had. He took the battery out of the car, charged it up, and diagnosed it. We found that it needed to be replaced. He gave me his personal unbiased opinion on which battery to buy and was not pushy at all, he genuinely cared to understand my needs. He replaced the batter in my car even after the store was closed . I appreciate the experience and care I received and would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you, Marc!

Advanced Auto Parts was ok. Nothing special. They did have the rear wiper blade I needed. Pricing was average, selection was fairly limited.UPDATE: Selection is more limited then the other auto parts chains in my area.Also, after my previous visit I recieved an email coupon for $5 off my next purchase. This coupon lured me in as I needed a new tire gauge. I brought an $18 gauge to the counter and was informed that my coupon would not be applied to less then a $20 purchase. The clerk was polite. We both examined the coupon and found no such restrictions. I was told that even though the coupon shows no restrictions, the registers would not accept the coupon and they have other coupons that have a $20 minimum. Frankly, this was a wasted trip to the store. Coupons with invisible restrictions feels a lot like bait and switch.

Worst advance auto I have been to in 20 years. Poor parking lot, dark store, and the worst customer service I have experienced in an auto parts store. I placed an online order, came a couple days later to pick it up, and although I had the receipt, the pickup email, a charge against my bank account, my ID, and the product was found in the store reserved with my name on it, they would not give me my item because they couldn't find the order or work the computer. I had paid with speed perks I didn't want to lose. I was told I had to place another online order and wait 15 minutes without my speed perks, or pay full price in the store. The smaller gentleman tried to assist me, but his large lazy friend basically told me to pay again or get out. I will never shop at an advance auto again after 20 years. Walmart and Amazon just got more business.

If you aren t going to help your customers that walk in the store because your too busy please do not disturb sign on the door. Went to the store to get my battery tested and replace. I was the only person in the store I waited as an employee put stuff away abs the other two ignored me. The guy that was putting stuff away finally decided to help, while telling me it s going to take a few mins because he s waiting on someone. Ok have a good day and I left.

Great customer service! I went in needing windshield wipers, but the store was out of the model I wanted. So instead they gave me better wipers at the same price as the ones I wanted originally. If that's not taking care of one's clients, I don't know what is!!!!!

Went in to get CHF11S power steering fluid, which I had gotten there before. Staff insisted they had never carried it and repeatedly insisted that the cheaper petroleum based power steering fluid would work. If I hadn t known any better, this advice would have ruined the seals on my power steering system, which takes mineral-based oil. Really appalling service.

It's great to have an auto parts store closer to home finally! The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. The building is clean and well laid out and so far they have had everything I need to maintain my car.

One of five big chains of auto parts stores around here. Prices tend to be lower than other chains but not on everything. Good place to stop for advice on small problems. Online presence has improved over the past year but still has occasional inventory mismatches. The website and Android app could use retooling. Needham store is well stocked.

the worst auto parts to deal with liars and hustlers especially the manager there that can look at you r face and lie with out to blink and i hope the super management will do something about that i think his name is "mark Equano" i purchase a defective battery that burn my fuse and the alternator in 5 minutes after installation after one of his team member was playing with some " he say tester" which case me $1000 damage and i had to tow the car to the mechanic after simple batty purchase and they dint want to take responsibility telling me it my car ( only 5000k on it and its telling me its my car unbelievable he just look at you and lie in your face and he call him self a manager ????? do your self a favor and pass on this place there is many other cheaper and know what they doing

They close early. Don t trust their hours. Drove over for nothing. Doors locked 10 minutes early. I could see the employee inside.

These guys have me to thank for getting google maps to fix their location? I suggested an edit this morning and it looks like the location has been corrected. I'm glad because if you are looking for parts in the Needham area this is the best around. Very friendly helpful bunch of guys working here.
